4/25 The seed that didn’t pop from last grow was still in the coco pot that I pulled, so I figured it was at least worth saving by throwing in a shot glass with water.
4/27 No movement after 2 days so on to pop a new seed.
4/29 Well the new seed has sank to the bottom of the shot glass and hasn’t moved at all. For now, I’ll leave it in the shot glass but will also start another one with hopes of actually getting this strain started. I’ve never had two seeds of the same strain fail to pop one after the other, but I suppose there’s a first time for everything.
4/30 Just so I’m not wasting any more of my time than necessary I went ahead and threw my last seed into some water. I’ve never had this much of an issue popping beans before. None of the seeds I’ve tried to pop have popped yet.
5/2 I switched over from shot glass to paper towel method to see what would happen. Go figure I now have 3 Cali Octane’s that have popped and are now in solo cups. I only wanted one, but I suppose now I’ll have some options.
5/4 So far, I have 2 that have visibly popped up from the solo cups. Both are only just barely breaking the surface, so I’ll wait another day before I decide when day 1 will be.
Just keep it going mate! Keep checking for nanners and pollensacks and either spray them with water or remove them... Is it herming everywhere or mainly on the bottom of the stems?
@Falscher_Hase_069, So it started on the very lowest parts of the plant, and I've been ripping them off as they've moved upwards. So far nothing up top as far as I can see. I didn't find any new ones today so that's good. I'm really hoping that maybe I caught it all in time and the damage won't be too bad.
