Hello Diary,
NYC Sour D, the last in a line of three Autoflowers from the collaboration between Tyson and Royal Queen Seeds
also finished the last week of the cycle.
I photographed it on the 63rd day from the beginning of the vegetation,
after which I harvested it and put it to dry together with two other plants.
NYC Sour D was so tall that it was a few inches above the grow lights so the very top of the plant may not have fully matured.
But the flowers on the branches showed that they were ready for harvest.
My wife is in charge of observation and loves looking at plants under a microscope.
When I asked her to check the trichome situation on the plants, I was surprised when she said, NYC Sour D is also ready to harvest.
The trichomes are all milky and this is my main indicator by which I decide when to harvest it.
It's great that all three plants on the Farm were harvested at the same time.
Otherwise, I would have to put them to dry in a cardboard box, and my favorite is to dry them as a whole plant turned upside down in a grow box.
NYC Sour D looks impressive, over 120 cm tall, with beautiful hard - packed flowers that make the branches bend.
Some of the leaves are a little pale and bell-shaped,
but the reason is that it grew over 120 cm and then very close to the lights, considering that the height of the entire box is 178 cm.
I watered the NYC Sour D two days before harvest because I wanted it to use up all the water to reduce the chance of mold developing during drying.
Sometimes when the flowers are big and packed and if there is more moisture left in the plant, it is possible that the flower becomes moldy.
Last week, the temperature was around 30 degrees, the humidity was below 50%.
This is not ideal for drying, but when the lights are turned off, the temperature and humidity will automatically drop, so it will be just right.
Last week I did not add any nutrients or supplements, I only watered with water.
Here's what it looked like last week.
26/06/2024 - Day 57.
Watering.
I prepared 9 liters of water, for all three plants on the "Farm" and only added Lemon Kick to lower the p.H. on 6.0.
I watered all three plants on the Farm with that amount.
28/06/2024 - Day 59.
Watering. I repeated the procedure as two days earlier.
30/06/2024 - Day 61.
Last watering.
02/07/2024 - Day 63.
Photography at the end of the 9th week after which I cut the plant and put it to dry together with the other two plants.
Thank you to everyone who followed this trip, thank you for all the positive comments and see you soon with the final report.
Nice grow bro💪 I will do 3 Autos from Mike too. Do I understand right ? you using in all your grows, Cal-Mag and flowering trio from RQS notice sometmies you use Grow Tabs, sometimes no? Are you checking EC in your feeds? ✌️
@Atalant,That's right, I put CalMg from the beginning of the vegetation, 1 ml/l. Then from the second or third week of vegetation I start with Bio Flowering Booster. Bigger Flowers first, then after two weeks of flowering I start adding Thicker Flowers and the last two to three weeks I put Sweeter Flowers. Sometimes I dissolve an Easy Bloom Booster tablet instead of the Bio Flowering Booster. I don't have an Ec meter so I don't measure it.
