Tropical Treatz 314/500 - PurpleCityGenetcis x Zamnesia
This is my first journal, so please be gentle with me ;)
I was really curious about a Zammy-Special Strain for some time and after Tropical Treatz got released, i knew I had to get them immediately.
The 2 Seeds germinated after 2 days in the Paper Towel. I put them between 2 layers and wrapped the container (plastic box) in aluminum foil.
Right after germination I prepared a little pot with LightMix and placed them ~2cm deep in the soil.
They are placed on a windowsill for the first days (not too sunny) and I added a cheap Growlamp with 25w bluelight-spectrum, just for the first couple of days.
Both of them have finally seen the light of day.
Germination was really fast and uncomplicated, hope they stick to this behaviour.
They will stay on the windowsill for a few days until the tent is empty.
They finally moved into the tent, but are still sharing some space with other "projects".
Progress should accelerate from now on, but atm there's not much to see.

Mid-week update
They will get some bigger pots this weekend and finally move into their own home 👍
Everything going fine, haven't done any LST yet.
The Tropical Treatz are placed on the right and left side, companioned by a green gelato (middle) and a peanut butter cookies (square pot).
Thinking about topping one of them and fimming another to have a useful compairson.
Since I harvested some Automatics the last time, i wasn't able to do much LST or any HST.
So this time I was eager to get going :
One of them got topped, the other one got fimmed😆
(To give it a little bit of sense at least, I topped the higher plant and fimmed the smaller one 😉 )
I haven't done a direct comparasion between both of them yet, so this is the perfect time 😇
Let's see how the handling between the both of them will work out 😅
Time for some updates...
The one that got topped, developed 4 new crowns which is looking pretty nice.
The one that got fimmed, developed tons of nodes along the mainline and I'm curios how it will develop.
The leafs that were included in the fimming still have yellow edges, but I think that's nothing to worry about.
I reduced the light to 17hrs and will send them to flowering in about a week.
But before that, they'll get lollipopped and defoliated.
I thought about cutting everything blow the topping point

At least I can give you some pictures, for everyone that was interested in the topping / fimming comparasion.
I have to say, neither the topping, nor the fimming was a full satisfaction this run.
The plant in the right corner at the back got no treatment at all (except for some trimming ) and I like that look the most 😍
I have some cuttings in another tent, which developed much better after the topping.
But I'm only talking about personal preferences regarding the aesthetics of the plant👽
If your interest is yield, topping or fimming is definitely worth it 👍
