Girls doubled in size this week. Getting full sun now. Getting a lot of rain so only watered twice since they have been in the ground. Going to give dry ammendments every other or 3rd watering like i did last year. IPM so far has been lost coast plant therapy and de. Excited to see these girls grow!

Growing like a weed. Little one is a leftover catalina wine mixer clone that i decided at last minute to run outside. Revegged and is now growing strong. Bugs are bad, leaf hoppers, thrips, flies, lord! Hit with BT a couple times and lost coast regularly. Also found small areas of pm that i removed leaves and sprayed the area , lost coast.

Rolling along , tropical weather , extreme heat and humidity outdoors the last week or two. More bugs and pests than ive ever seen lol. Leaf hoppers, grasshoppers, ticks, etc. cutting back on feeding from 2 tablespoons every other water to every 3 rd water. Slight birning of some leaf tips. No sign of flower yet but can tell by the vertical branching that it wont be long. Catalina wine mixer pictured is under same water and feed schedule as shineapple.

Everything is going well so far. Appears to be we have some stretching happening and i keep thinking Im seeing preflowers but nothing really so far. Probably a month away like last year. Little Catalina wine mixer in the mix is doing fine as well, although kind of spindley. Currently feeding every 3 waterings . Had about 7-8” of rain the last 72 hours, insane tropical conditions, ipm consisting of Lost Coast Plant therapy, BT spray, and de powder for base of plant. Also helps with calcium and hardening up the plant.

As of today 8-10, full flower. Taking shape still fighting thrips but leaf hoppers seem to have taken a break, lol. Calling for up to 8” of tropical rain the next few days.

Leaf septoria becoming a problem, been stripping affected leaves and spraying. Leaf hoppers by the millions this year in addition to spider mites, aphids, pm , even a snake, lord help us! Buds are stacking nicely though so if i can manage another six weeks or so ill be golden. Lighter green plant is actually the catalina wine mixer from greenpoint seeds that i cloned from inside grow.

Well , mostly bad news as bud rot has started to show its ugly face. Cut around 30 tops and other areas out this morning and treat the affected areas with a mix of peroxide and water. Definitively close to being done, could use another week honestly but i think im going to harvest monday. We shall see compadre!
