Good week this week I got three of six seeds started. I’ll post the update on the other three seeds I planted when they pop. I have no idea as these are bag seeds so I will have to watch for males asap
Got a good mix of seeds here all of them are bag seeds so I’m hoping for some good and ultimately and expecting some bad so come from this possibly a male or two
My two mystery seeds at the start of the week had aphids. I was able to locate a safe spray for cannabis that rid all six of the plants of bugs by 2 to 3 days after I sprayed them.
My two mystery seeds were the smallest and as you can see in these pictures, they made a full recovery and I plan on getting at least 3 to 4 ounces from each plant if they continue to grow like they are
My two biggest plants are baked Alaska. My runner-up is tropical runts and Ginger mints, and then coming up in the end, which is also starting to creep up on Ginger mint and tropical runts are my two mystery seeds so follow them along for more!
So here we have it I have them finally transferred to their final pots. I transferred them to those medium size pots until they got rootbound to make sure that I had a good root base for them so I’m guessing that within the next three weeks of July, which is all that I have left usually before they start going into flowering. I’m hoping that if I pound the nutrients to them that they will become monster size plants, but follow me along for the ride!
So this week I’ve seen pretty good exponential growth. I mean they’re starting to throw off nodes on their branches that they’re developing. I made sure to clip the first leaves on the node to make sure that I had ample airflow to the stock and stem. I’ve topped two of the plants and the other four are all going to grow naturally. I plan on tying down the branches on all of them to provide ample sunlight to the branches.
I haven’t grown in about two years, but I’m hoping that I can prove the knowledge that I have through this grow.
So this week, I’ve noticed that they’re starting to get their height on them. The two that I’ve topped already are starting to bush out so I can start low stress training. I’ll start high stress training in the late flowering period. Today I took the time to remove a large amount of fan leaves and I topped my tiniest plant. I’m hoping I can at least get it to bush out instead of it not producing the way it is. I’ve also been trying to keep an eye on aphids and spraying them to get rid of them. I’m looking forward to a good harvest. If I can keep the aphids off and powdery mildew away I’ll be turning one or two of these into dabs.
I’ll link a picture two the two topped plants and the single plant that isn’t doing great
So I heavily defoliated the other day and they look like they bounced back pretty well and about three days we’ve been getting more rain so every three or four days they turn really light green so that’s when I give them some grow bag and some cloak and they’re good for another couple days They’re not as big as I hope they would’ve been at this time, but everybody around me says that when they turn the flower that they’ll double in size.
This week I focused on letting them bounce back from the defoliation I did last week and they look like they’re doing quite well. I think that within the next two weeks they’re gonna be going into flowering because they’re starting to show the sex organs on the plant where seeds are produced.
I started this week off with defoliation and tying down as many of the branches that I could to give them enough sunlight so that they don’t get powdery mildew and they get an adequate amount of sunlight.
I’d like to say that my two biggest plants are probably gonna end up being a little bit over five or 6 feet. They’ve finally started to stretch and I like the way there looking. Someone told me Baked Alaska and Tropical Runts in the last two weeks of flower turns a nice dark purple so I’ll be looking forward to that but I’m tying my best and this is what I’ve got.
Started with 8 seeds and 8 pots and now I’m down to 6 seeds and they all seem to be female
So this week, I’m focusing on defoliating again and tying down the branches hoping they come down further so that they get better light penetration from the top and the sides. The defoliation helps with airflow and to keep my aphid problem away because there’s no leaves for them to eat And I also added a new nutrient and this week and I’m taking one out next week. I have one more week of giving it grow big and then it’s too far into the cycle. I had two seeds that as of this week were not flowering yet, but started showing signs today. I usually post wednesdays and today’s Saturday. It’s my birthday by the way!
So this week, I focused on making sure that they had plenty of water and I actually fed them today tomorrow I plan on doing some landscaping around the house so I’ll probably end up mowing the lawn and defoliating my plant some to relax after I’m done mowing. I saw an article that said that two of them are gonna turn dark purple in the last two weeks of flowering and I can see it in the stem. It’s a magenta type colour like the colour of the T-Mobile logo which is actually really nice place to work by the way if you get the chance.
I plan on feeding them up until the week when they start turning purple which is when I’ll stop and may start flushing them not sure. All my plants I’ve ever grown had small buds which is why I introduced another nutrient this grow. They look better already as there covered in trichomes but the true test will be when it gets later in the season.
So I was gifted a bunch of nutrients I believe the last time I posted. Since then I’ve started adding all of the nutrients that I have listed and I feed them every three days. I water them every other day -2 days because the pots are usually bone dry if I let them wait for three days. These plants look crazy they went from barely having any crystals or anything on them to being so crystal covered that if you try to take a picture at night, it looks like pictures blurry from of all the reflection of light.
The Tropical Runts and the Ginger Mints are a little bit behind, but I have seen that the Tropical Runts is almost where it should be now. The Ginger Mints looks like it’s fully recovered. The Tropical Runts also has very thin leaves so that leads me to believe that they will be sativa type flowers so they’ll be more light and airy and I’ll probably be waiting till the end of October for that one. I knew it was a late bloomer but now that it’s showing such skinny leaves I see the reason why.
Both of my baked Alaska‘s are starting their stint where they turn purple which tells me that this is week 4-6 which means that seven and eight will be sometime in the middle of October. The Ginger Mints and Tropical Runts are showing signs of purple as well.
I’m seeing a lot of crystals but not so much on the size of the buds. I know the nutrients help with the crystal formation but will they start packing on weight as well if I’m right it should be week 3,4 or 5
This week I’ve been focusing on feeding nutrients and water. I am doing the same thing I said before where it’s water every three days or wait until the pots dry and then I feed them and the nutrients I’m doing every 2 to 3 days just a little bit and a gallon of water and I spread the gallon between all six of them The Baked Alaska finally at last are starting to turn purple.
My Ginger Mint’s is starting to get a purple tinge, but the tropical runts was the only other plant that was supposed to turn purple and they said that was during week seven or eight and I think right now I’m at week four or week five some maybe week six or 7 depending. I’m paying attention to the colour of my hairs and my trichomes
I think I’m going to defoliate one more time because I only plan on feeding these plants one to two more times besides the one labeled tropical runs that one will probably be out here till the end of October but I’m banking on two weeks. I might have to cut one of them down on Sunday because it’s showing signs of bad rot and I don’t wanna lose any of the plant cause it’s not really that big. I just hope that I can grow some good natural organic cannabis that makes people happy after defoliation this week, I might post another update
I tried my best with this this and the other one came out pretty good. One of them smells more like a cushy smell like beta caryophylene and one of them smells more like limonene and like a sativa so I plan on washing these both with hydrogen peroxide and I’m hoping this will bring out the smells that I smelled earlier in the growing cycle, but I got about 2 ounces from both of them so that should last me probably about a week or two for each one I’m still waiting on my other four plants to finish up. They just started turning purple so I’d like to make sure I can get the most color change out of them possible
