First Legal grow in Germany. Hoping to use lots of Sunlight. Two seeds germinated fine using a Royal Queen easy start germination kit (Mini coco pots with bacteria sachet.).
Nice to be back. Xx
So they started out a bit too stretchy, so I replanted them deeper down in the final pots. Earth is Biobizz light mix. The indoor lights are my good old Mars 300 and a no name 100w led. Both Lights had their fans replaced years ago by me with silent wings pc fans. I've got a PC fan running on a voltage switchable power supply in the bottom tent inlet, and a couple of fans blowing lightly across the tent. Everything looks well. Hope the weather gets nice and sunny outside in July. Will save some electricity bill.
Be well.
Royal Critical is looking perfect. I am impressed.
Cookies Gelato is a bit raggedy. Maybe wind damage. Hard to say. See how it goes
Weather was bad here today so they stayed inside like me,
but they have had several days out in the sun this week. Mornings at the east window. Afternoons on the west balcony.
I have moved to using distilled water with Calmag. The tap water is too hard here to mix nutrients. I plan to gradually increase the feeding.
Cheers.
Fine. The girls were inside alot this week. Thunderstorms and clouds. But they seem to be quite happy. No issues so far. Having done 2 previous LED tent grows, I def. think that they are happiest getting lots of real sunlight and wind, even a bit of rain.
Extra love to you all, especially if the weather is weird for you. South Germany, South West US, Canada, India....Be Well.
They're really starting to get it on. The start of flowering proper. No issues. Started very light LST. This means tying out some branches with pipe cleaners to keep the air circulating, and the light getting in there
The Critical does seem to be a lot darker, and denser than the Cookies Gelato. Is that the strain? or have I overfed? I did overfeed in a previous grow and got into a mess trying to flush out excess nutrients. This time I'm feeding once a week and the rest of the time they get distilled water with a little CalMag to stabilize the pH.
They were inside a fair bit this week but the last couple of days on the balcony. Still too cold at night so they come inside. They are starting to smell quite a bit which is a problem inside. May need to get my filter running in the tent. From next week or so they'll be outside fulltime. Wish us luck. Be Well
Some sun last week. East window in the morning. West balcony in the afternoon. The Biobizz light earth is great I think. My herb garden loves it too.
Advanced nutrients seem to be doing the job. Theyve been in the tent all day today though because of the storms.
The Critical Auto seems to be a bit further on than the Cookies Gelato. Darker green and denser flowering. I think we may have a 10 week harvest in that case. Cookies will take longer. I've also got a Sherbet Queen which is weeks behind and almost didn't germinate.
No drastic problems though. We're all healthy. As I said I'm feeding once a week (900 last week, 750 this week) and following up with distilled water plus a bit (200ppm) of nutrients to keep it stable for the rest of the week.
They're getting too big for my tent now, and may need to stay outside on the west balcony rain or shine for the last 4 or 5 weeks.
Be Well
The Royal Critical Auto is a rocket. Wow. Looking syrupy already. Royal Cookies Gelato is more stretched but flowering in her own good time. Both plants are well.
I had a scare this week because some tiny little aphids were eating my some of my basil plants. I could only see them under the microscope. Terrified they would spread. So I isolated the Basil and sprayed them with neem oil. So I'm prepared for battle if needbe. I also saw a butterfly sitting on my critical for a moment. So I will be monitoring the egg/caterpillar situation closely. Tents are safer from pests! But sun, wind and rain are good for them. The sun has been pretty intense this week. Got up to well above 30 on the west balcony. So they are very thirsty. Fed them once a week 900ppm and rest of the time they get 150-200ppm. NB: The nutrient measurements above are NOT accurate.
Be Well. Have a great week.
I'm really happy. Both plants are well and should give me more than enough bud to keep me going for a good long while. The Royal Critical Auto really is amazingly far on for its age. It's been inside in a grow tent for the latter half of this week because the weather has been abominable. She is so far and already very frosty. She is giving off a strong sweet perfume. My carbon filter in the tent is struggling. I'm wondering if a week 9 harvest will be possible. She's definitely stopped stretching up. The Cookies Gelato is now far too tall for my little grow tent, so outside she stays. She will take a couple of weeks longer than the Critical I think. Still stretching out but already has plenty of bud coming. So. Be Well. I hope the weather will be better in the next two to three weeks so I can get some serious light into them in the run up to harvest.
Still on course. Quite a hair raising week. Storms and flooding. There was a wild wind yesterday and I needed to tie up the CookiesG. So they got some rain on them. The Critical came inside for a bit, but even with a carbon filter she's creating quite an aroma. I can live with it if I need to protect my crop. Harvesting the Critical in one or two weeks I think. The CookiesG will take a couple more. I also have a Sherbet Queen that is soo slow...but healthy. The Cookies Gelato is now quite tall about 110 and smelling but not so strong. Critical is smaller 90 and super skunky.
I think the Royal Queen genetics are good. Beyond that ... success from not overfeeding/overwatering, and plenty of light and wind. Hope you all have a great week.
Is this autoflower pollinated? (Last 3 pics FLO 8?) It's been outside next to another different autoflower,Anything to worry about? It looks a little "bulgy" to my eyes.Trichomes are mostly clear with a few milky ones.Hoping to harvest in the next 2 weeks.New Territory. Thanks F
I can't see any issues.Male sack on female plants ogten look like bannas. If the tricomes are already going milky I doubt they'll need 2wks,more like 5-7 days.
Looks good! Be careful with plants on the balcony- I just had to rescue my critical baby because a sparrow was curious about her sweet smell. She just lost a bit foliage but also symmetry now….
@Springtime, 😳Thanks for the warning. Never crossed my mind that sparrows might eat them....I'm more worried about my cat tbh. Although I think she's more interested in the lavender....which isn't very good for her. Be well.
@Dennisgut, Prrrrrr. At this point,, from earth to tip not including roots, the shorter one (Critical) is 85cm and the taller one (Cookies Gelato) is 95cm so .guess they were 80 and 90 in these pics from day 6/7 of week 5.
Have a great weekend. Rainy and dark here. They're warming in the tent.
For the moment you have them indoor and at some time you're gonna move them to out ?
They really look nice and healthy
Good luck and happy growing friend 😍
@GrowthConsultant, Hi. Thanks. So they are under grow lights from 07:00 in a tent. I move them to an open east window if there's sun in the morning, and I put them outside on a west balcony in the afternoon/evening again, if there's enough sun. They go back in the tent at night and get a couple of hours of LEDs again. If the weather is bad they just stay in the tent under the lights. Once they get bigger (soon) they'll just live on the west facing balcony or wherever works. I'm not going to get too stressed about perfection this time, but I did want to make sure they got a good strong start and the weather was bad so I got the tent out. Be well!
