Hey guys,
this is my first grow ever and I want to take you guys on a little adventure.
First things first, my grow area:
I wanted to build a custom wardrobe which will fit into the apartment, without taking too much attention if anybody I dont want to know visits or whatever. The second thought was, that I dont want it to smell in the apartment and no light during the blooming phase.
I bought a billy wardrobe from ikea which cost me around 100€ and then I made two holes into the wardrobe. The holes were 150mm in diameter. One was on the top of the wardrobe and one was at backwall close to the bottom of the wardrobe. This was done for the ventilation and the airtake.
Than I bought silicone and closed all the other areas, from which it could take air or from which air could leave the wardrobe.
After that I took a board from the billy and made half a hole to the back of it, which is to prevent the ventilation to fall down on the canopy and also to hang the lights to.
For the ventilation, the cable management and the air inflow I used secret jardin. With a few adjustments here and there, it worked really good and I can totally recommend it.
I installed everything and the setup looks good to me. The only problem I really had, was the sealing. Since the wardrobe has a distance from the low and the high board to the door, I didnt really find a good way to solve it. I want it to look normal but I also want it to be really perfectly build for the grow itself. I probably need to work on that solution again.
When I installed the door, I also ordered some magnets from amazon, and attached it to the top, the sites and the bottom of the wardrobe, so that the door will be shut and no airflow is going through the door itself. I wanted to only allow airflow from the back of the wardrobe, since I want all the air to go though the ventilation before it goes outside again.
I messed a bit up, since I was too excited and started to grow the canopy before the wardrobe was ready. So it started in the sunlight and went into the wardrobe after it was a bit grown.
