deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, marijuana lovers! After a few weeks off from the last season, I’m starting this new journey with my weed stash full, a lot of enthusiasm, and the hope of achieving the best harvest so far. Very motivated and happy for the opportunity to grow this mythical strain, an old-school Colombian landrace sativa "Colombian Gold has been cultivated for centuries by the farmers of Santa Marta, Colombia." The goal is to tame the plant for my indoor grow and maximize production... let’s play! The first seed germinated directly in the substrate, but it has been stuck for two weeks. So on the 5th, I started germinating a second seed in wet paper, and after two days, I moved it to the pot, and now it’s slowly growing. If the first seed survives, I’ll take it to the mountains. ================================ Info on the Colombia Gold strain from Zamnesia seeds: https://www.zamnesia.es/10170-zamnesia-seeds-colombian-gold.html "The Colombian Gold, also known as Santa Marta, is a highly valued sativa, native to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia" Zamnesia Seeds - Genetics: Landrace - 100% Sativa - Flowering Time - 10-11 weeks - Indoor Yield: 400 g/m² - THC: 18 % - Aromas: Lime/Lemon ================================

deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground cannabis enthusiasts! The first seed didn't survive, but this second one is now 15 days into germination. I'm really happy to be growing this strain; the little seedling is working hard to establish itself in its pot. During the day, it's in a window soaking up the spring sun, and at night, it's under blue light (450nm) from a 50w COB with a lens. I keep the substrate moist with mountain water. Finally, this afternoon I transplanted the little Santa into its final pot, a 11L fabric pot with a custom substrate mix and minerals. Even though the seedling is only two weeks old, I intend to build a good root system from now on... let’s play!! I complete the transplant in two phases. In this first phase, I soak the small pot with plenty of water, which allows me to easily remove the soil. Once buried in the new substrate, I wait 24 hours before watering, as the soaked root ball substrate will expand the moisture to the surrounding dry substrate. The second part consists of controlled surface watering because, even though I was happy with the root development of all the plants from last season, I noticed that there weren't as many roots at the top of the substrate as I expected. The truth is, I promoted moisture at the base from the very beginning, and that didn't favor the development of surface adventitious roots. I'm going to try to correct this, as root development at the base is always guaranteed. Once the first watering is done, I'll cover the substrate with mulch rescued from previous crops and a special mix to accelerate the development of microbiology and the decomposition of organic matter. I'll talk about the watering mix and mulch next week. Now all the seedlings for the season are in the main grow tent, surrounded by blue lights (450nm) and a 7700K LED panel, along with two FS COBs to provide other light spectrums. I'm aiming for maximum compactness and branching. I've cleaned and disinfected the grow tent, organized some cables and lamps, and finally closed the tent for a few hours with an ozone generator at maximum power. UNTIL NEXT TIME... REGARDS TO ALL! ================================ Info on the Colombia Gold strain from Zamnesia seeds: https://www.zamnesia.es/10170-zamnesia-seeds-colombian-gold.html "The Colombian Gold, also called Santa Marta, is a highly valued sativa, native to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia." deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground cannabis enthusiasts! Three weeks old and the little Colombian seedling is evolving fantastically after being transplanted to its new pot. The seedling is growing happily! One day after the transplant, I completed the second phase of the process by adding a thin layer of a Bio mix of substrate with Solid Mountain Microorganisms, Rice Charcoal, pre-cooked living substrate, and algae and alfalfa powder. I finally cover this mix with Reused Mulch from previous crops and moisten everything. In the first few days, I've kept moisture only at the top of the substrate, I've watered the mulch daily with mountain water, aiming to accelerate the spread of aerobic microbiology and promote the expansion of adventitious roots in the upper part of the substrate, just below the mulch. Two days ago, I did a more abundant watering to let the moisture penetrate the substrate. The amount of this initial watering is moderate, half of what I have calculated for when the plant is at maximum performance, because I don't want to saturate the substrate with water now. It's important for me to take advantage of the aeration of the new substrate, which is still not compacted by the waterings; the roots appreciate both oxygen and fluffy substrates, where they can move easily. With this first deep watering, I begin feeding all the seedlings. The girls are growing and asking for more food, and I will happily cook for them with each watering! 😉 I've started with a special mix of molasses with my Bio Fertilizer made from fresh coconut water with Efficient Microorganisms (MM, Minerals, vitamins, cytokinins, gibberellic acid, auxins....) the natural coconut water contains enough energy in the form of hormones, minerals, antioxidants, or vitamins to germinate a coconut seed and provide what it needs in the first weeks of life. I've added a bit of another Bio Fertilizer rich in amino acids and nettle tea, and finally, I adjust the pH of the mix with homemade Ormus from the Cantabrian Sea, which provides the presence of practically all the minerals from the periodic table. Here you can see the process I followed for creating Bio Coco EM: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/134104-grow-journal-by-defharo/week/791322 UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground marijuana enthusiasts! 7:30 AM, I'm going to make a coffee and a joint, be right back... 😇 It's the fourth week since I germinated the seed, two weeks since the transplant, and two days since the second nutrient watering. This Colombian seedling, a crop blessed with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers, is completely flattened by the intense lights... but very happy! 😊 Today I trimmed the lower leaves that were dragging on the mulch, as the stem is barely growing but thickening day by day. Any day this week I'll do the topping... hallelujah! I have a lot of faith in a sensational pot setup for this seedling; I transplanted it at just two weeks, and I've done the first waterings to especially promote root expansion... big roots make big plants. This week I'll also do a foliar application to give it energy while the roots focus on growing, a bit of my Fresh Blood Hydrolysate (amino acids, Fe) with a fruit lacto-ferment (vitamins, minerals, enzymes...), the effect is noticeable within the day. And finally, yesterday I reduced the light schedule by half an hour, now 21/3h, every week I'll decrease the light time until I reach 18/6 and probably that will be the moment to switch the plants to flowering schedule 12/12h, approximately in 7-8 weeks, but if the plants gain a lot of volume, I'll speed up the transition to flowering... let's play! UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground marijuana enthusiasts! It's the fifth week since I put the seed to germinate. The Colombian plant, a crop in sacred soil, blessed with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers, is growing and getting stronger! The evolution this week is really good, the leaves are expanding to capture more light, the plant is establishing itself in the pot with a lot of elegance, and now the growth is going to speed up; let's see if I can tame it. Three days ago, I made the apical cut to stop the stretching, and the grateful plant is widening considerably. Also, this week I did a deep watering with low EC concentration, added dry amendments to the soil: feather meal and Mealfrass, and a foliar application with amino acids... all for the cause! deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground marijuana enthusiasts! Sixth week of life for this holy Colombian plant, a grow in sacred soil, blessed with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers! The wild plant is leaving behind other plants that have been alive longer; this week I had to tie and twist the main stem to reduce height and stop stretching, last week's topping barely slowed it down... it's definitely going to be a spectacular grow! deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground cannabis enthusiasts! Seventh week of life for this holy Colombian plant, grown in sacred soil, blessed with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers! This sativa plant resists being tamed; no matter how much I try to bend it with ties, it responds with new branches popping up everywhere. The growth is very solid, and water consumption is skyrocketing; this week I did a deep watering and a foliar application. I've set up my homemade grow cabinet for this and another plant to relieve the main tent; I've moved two lamps, one Full Spectrum and another with 7700K, now shining very close to the plant to try to slow down vertical growth and encourage compactness. This week is the last of the vegetative growth; at the end of this week, I will change the light schedule to 12/12h. UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, underground marijuana enthusiasts! Eighth week of life for this holy Colombian plant, a grow in sacred soil, blessed with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers! Today I change the light schedule for all the grows, from 20/4h to 12/12h. Great growth this week, despite the multiple ties on the branches and having dramatically bent the main stem to control the height, this untamed plant is growing branches everywhere, the leaf mass is enviable and the water consumption is high, watering every 3 days. This week two waterings and the last foliar application of the season. I keep the plants flattened with a lot of light intensity, there are no shady spots in this grow cabinet, 😎 until the stretching stops I maintain the same lamps I’ve been using during the vegetative growth, once the growth stops and the plant starts to flower, I will change some lamps for others, 😍 with predominantly red and orange colors. The goal is to minimize the great vertical stretching that occurs in these first weeks of schedule change. UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of clandestine and organic marijuana! Ninth week of life for this holy and wild Colombian plant, a crop that I grow with my hands on sacred soil and bless it with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers... hallelujah! A week completed with the 12/12h schedule, the plant has significantly strengthened and is expanding its leaf mass to capture a lot of energy, a multitude of branches are pushing for a good spot in the canopy, it’s going to be a spectacular crop, I intend to at least triple the yield expectations suggested by the producer. This season I continue my attempts to tame sativas indoors and this plant is an extreme example, now the twisted stem and bizarre ties are not visible due to the density of the leaf mass, but I really haven’t shown any mercy with all the efforts to bend it, nor do I have pity for putting lights above it. I grow this and another plant in my homemade cabinet surrounded by lights, additionally, I’ve matched the 12-hour light schedule with the day, turning on the cabinet at 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, so on sunny days, I get direct morning sun for at least 5 hours, then I take the plants outside, because there’s no lamp comparable to the sun, and if the day is cloudy, they stay home without going out. This grow cabinet, which was my first, I always keep the door open to support more side lights and for better aeration and cooling, the truth is that I achieved my best production ratio with it, 209g in a 7L pot! This week the plant has stretched 8cm and the water consumption has almost doubled, the Holy One wants food and drink without brakes... it scares me! UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of clandestine and organic marijuana! Tenth week of life for this holy, sativa, and wild Colombian plant, a crop I cultivate with my hands on sacred soil and bless it with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers... hallelujah! Two weeks since the switch to 12/12h, the plant has stretched 10cm this week, flowering has entered the game, this is the last week of stretching for all crops, from now on, the plants will focus on forming flowers and it will be time to change lights and Bio fertilizers... let’s play! With the last watering, I added a mix of dry amendments to the substrate, in that same watering I included molasses to give extra energy to the Microorganisms and get them to start consuming the extra organic matter. This season I am limiting the use of molasses in waterings; until now, I used it in every single watering, from the start to the end of the crops. But this season I have only used molasses in the first weeks of cultivation to boost the proliferation of Microbiology in the substrate and the expansion of the roots, and for the past two weeks, I stopped adding molasses, only when the plants have had significant volume, now, the plant itself will take care of the sugar supply to energize the MM. It’s not that I have observed any evident anomalies from the continuous use of molasses, but I don’t want to influence the original taste or aromas of the plant. What I clearly observed last season, where I started to reduce molasses especially during flowering, is that all the plants ended up with much more intense and varied aromas than usual. Other factors may have influenced this, like the substrate mix, but I believe it’s the intensive use of molasses that ended up influencing and masking the flavor and smell. Today is a sunny day, this plant and its grow cabinet companion are soaking up the fantastic spring sun for a few hours, there’s no light comparable to direct sunlight on the plants! UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of clandestine and organic marijuana! Once weeks into the life of this holy, sativa, and wild Colombian plant, a crop that I tend to with my hands on sacred soil and bless with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers... hallelujah! Three weeks since switching to a 12/12h schedule, the plant has completed its stretch, now standing at 54cm tall, with a great leaf mass and increasingly thinner leaves. Now with the light change to more yellow spectra, the morphology of the plants will align more with their genetics. There’s a tangle of untamed branches appearing everywhere, adorning the canopy as if it were a galaxy of stars; the plant is ready to give it all! 😈😏 This week I've increased the light schedule by 15 minutes every 2 days, until reaching 13 hours of light... more photosynthesis, more energy processed, more nutrient needs = more flowers! Water consumption is high and rising, I water regularly every 3 days. During flowering, I use more complex mixes for watering than in the vegetative stage, increasing the EC concentration. I’m growing this and another plant in my homemade cabinet with plenty of lighting and aeration... no mercy! 😛 UNTIL NEXT TIME... Four weeks since the start of flowering, the plant, despite its short height, is magnificent; the buds are beautifully prominent and take center stage in the grow. Clearly, the formation of the buds is sativa, and they remind me a lot of the Colombia Punto Rojo I grew two seasons ago, one of the best herbs in my stash. Water consumption remains high and stable, the plant shows a lot of health and vigor, this week two waterings with varied components and high EC, also an application of dry amendments to the substrate. deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of clandestine and organic marijuana! Fifth week of flowering for this holy sativa and wild Colombian plant, a crop I cultivate with my hands on sacred soil and bless it with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers... hallelujah! Yes! Finally! A sativa that looks like a sativa... I love it! 😍 Huge, the appearance of this plant, bent with bizarre ties, submissive and calm, gifts me beautiful flowers and incredibly lovely moments! The buds are progressing confidently, I expect a classic morphology of native sativa buds, airy and finally with the look of beautiful fox tails! Sativa smoke to enjoy all day! In the waterings of the last few weeks, I have given a lot of food to this plant, and it asks for more, it's a glutton, for this reason, this coming week I will do stimulating waterings with low concentration, because there’s still a lot of play ahead and I want the roots to be very comfortable! UNTIL NEXT TIME... REGARDS TO ALL! ================================ Info on the strain Colombia Gold from Zamnesia seeds: https://www.zamnesia.es/10170-zamnesia-seeds-colombian-gold.html "The Colombian Gold, also called Santa Marta, is a highly valued sativa, native to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia." deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of clandestine and organic marijuana! Sixth week of flowering for this holy sativa and wild Colombian plant, a grow I do with my hands on sacred soil and bless it with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers... hallelujah! The buds are growing and with their weight, they want to bend my Holy plant, but they won't be able to! The plant is very happy and healthy, moving towards glory, eating and drinking without rest to show off beautiful sativa buds that I will smoke with great pleasure. UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of clandestine and organic marijuana! Seventh week of flowering for this holy and wild Colombian sativa, a grow that I do with my hands over sacred mulch and bless it with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers... hallelujah! The plant maintains its stature, the buds are growing like crazy, beautiful, fragrant, and delicate, and there’s still a lot of life and energy in this grow. I'm loving this plant, and it’s going to have a special place in my cannabis stash. This week I replaced the last lamp (660nm) that I put in the small cabinet because I already have a lot of red in the main lamps. Now I've added a UVB bulb that I turn on in 30-minute intervals to play it safe. They say it improves terpenes and trichome production; I don’t know, when I used this bulb before I wasn’t paying attention to the aromas, but since this season I’m barely using molasses in flowering because I think it was affecting the aromas and flavor of the plants, I’m going to try the bulb to see if I notice anything. Anyway, the two plants I’m growing in this homemade cabinet during the daytime, when it’s sunny, both plants go out in the sun for at least 5 hours, and the sun provides all the ultraviolet rays they need. UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of clandestine and organic marijuana! Eighth week of flowering for this holy and wild Colombian sativa, a grow I’m doing with my hands over sacred mulch and blessing it with pure mountain water and homemade bio fertilizers... hallelujah! The evolution this week is very good, the buds are growing vigorously, they’ve fattened up a lot and threaten to bend some branches, despite being airy buds, typical of some sativas, their large size makes them weigh a lot. The plant, in turn, maintains a very high consumption of water, light, and nutrients... this is turning out to be one of the best plants of the season! UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of homemade, clandestine, and organic marijuana! Ninth week of flowering for this holy and wild Colombian sativa, a grow I do with my hands over Sacred Mulch and bless it with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers... hallelujah! It's an exaggerated fattening week for the buds, they are striving to show many white pistils waiting for a male, but this holy plant doesn't know that one will never appear. There’s still plenty of energy to keep going for a couple more weeks... let’s play! UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of homemade, clandestine, and organic marijuana! Tenth week of flowering for this holy and wild Colombian sativa, a grow I’m doing with my hands over Sacred Mulch and blessing it with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers... hallelujah! The exaggerated swelling of the buds continues, the branches stoically support the great weight of the enormous flowers, there is energy in the plant to keep on flowering, this plant is rightfully earning the title of the best plant of the season. Today I moved the plant from the grow cabinet, as there was a free spot due to harvesting 2 plants today, this way I also disconnect my little homemade cabinet. UNTIL NEXT TIME... deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome homegrown, underground, and organic marijuana enthusiasts! It's been seven weeks of flowering for this holy and wild Colombian sativa, a crop that I cultivate with my hands over sacred mulch and bless with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers... hallelujah! The exaggerated fattening of the huge fox tails continues, the branches stoically hold the great weight of the fragrant buds. For me, this plant is going to be the best of the season, and it will hold a special place in my marijuana stash, a classic sativa to smoke at all hours! A couple of days ago, I reduced the light time by an hour, now 11H, trying to speed up maturity since I need to harvest it all before 11 days. UNTIL NEXT TIME... Week 20. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

Really satisfied with the cultivation of this strain, holy and wild Colombian landrace, a sativa with a sativa appearance! The cultivation in general has been easy, the plant felt very comfortable in the 11L textile pot, it ate and drank everything it wanted, and responded with enormous and fragrant fox tail buds, which surely will make a difference in my cured marijuana collection. From the beginning, I struggled with the plant to achieve maximum compactness, with intense lights and bizarre ties I achieved it, sativas of this landrace class tend to grow very tall and slender, but in this garden we like short and stocky plants, in the end, due to the weight of the enormous buds the plant presented a unique, unkempt, wild, and voluptuous appearance! After drying and with a week of curing I will smoke the first joints and complete this report...

deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of homemade, clandestine, and organic marijuana! Twelve weeks of flowering and 147 days of life have been enough to harvest this holy and wild Colombian sativa, a soil-grown crop, protected with Sacred Mulch and blessed with pure mountain water and homemade Bio Fertilizers... hallelujah! I have no words to describe the joy it has brought me to cultivate a sativa plant that looks like a wild sativa, huge fox tail buds, airy and extremely fragrant confirm it. These buds are going to hold a special place in my marijuana stash! After a final watering with pure mountain water and one last night outdoors on my balcony, at dawn, when the morning dew protects the terpenes, I have harvested this great plant... now it's drying in the air from fans, as the relative humidity is very high these days, after a few days I will store it in curing jars and when I try the smoke I will keep commenting on the strain.... MEANWHILE... Cheers and health to everyone! ================================ Info on the strain Colombia Gold from Zamnesia seeds: https://www.zamnesia.es/10170-zamnesia-seeds-colombian-gold.html "The Colombian Gold, also called Santa Marta, is a highly valued sativa, native to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in Colombia" Zamnesia Seeds - Genetics: Landrace - 100% Sativa - Flowering Time - 10-11 weeks - Indoor Yield: 400 g/m² - THC: 18 % - Aromas: Lime/Lemon ================================

I picked some up a few weeks back when they had the special. I've been looking at these and they very much appear to be hybrids, but have no idea what they made them from. Any ideas on the crosses?

@Ringo, Hello, if you mean genetics, I only know that the producer says it is a landrace sativa.

Ringo commented2y ago
@deFharo, I'd be amazed if this is truly a Santa Marta Colombian Gold landrace, most likely a hybrid. Your plants appear a bit small and very bushy for a large Santa Marta landrace.
