Took 2 clones from my first plant that has just gone into bloom. I didn't do anything special. I just clipped and stuck them in rock wool, then tossed in a humidity done with some water in there. About 3 dates later the roots showed out of the bottom for one of the clones. I transplanted her to a solo cup right away. They're looking OK, but a .little banged up. Hopefully they start looking nice in the coming days. Watering with just Brita filtered water. No nutrients for the first month(while in the cup) unless they look like they need it. I plan to bloom one, and keep the other as a mother. Look at me daddy, I'm a farmer!😁

This week I topped and bent over one of the clones. It has recovered and started to create new growth. I'm leaving one plant alone, no topping or bending for it. Since I'm still inexperienced and topping and bending, I'm afraid something may go wrong. At least having a backup plant is reassuring.

The Clones are looking really good. The topped one looks quite small compared to the untouched clone. The topped one really looks more developed. Looking forward to seeing more side by side progress of these two clones from the same plant. I put up some Mylar film this week to increase the light.

Topped plant is really starting to look great. I don’t think I’ll top it anymore. The untouched clone is starting to really get tall. I think next weekend I’ll transplant them into some larger containers. I want to start giving these plants nutrients, but maybe i'll just hold off.

I transplanted the clones this week. When I did it the roots on the untopped clone had taken up much more space in the cup. The topped/SC’d plant is really starting to look good. It really looks like 6 plants in 1 almost. I’m really happy overall with the clones, but I still think they may be a bit small for their age. Maybe there isn’t enough light. It's crazy to see how much different the plants look when one is manipulated and one isn't.

Beginning of week 6(Veg) About 3 days after transplant they seemed to really take off again. The supercropped one has the most noticeable growth, but the untouched clone is starting to mature more and develop side branches. The humidity in the room seems to be doing well for the plants. I was leaving the door to the room open quite a bit for about 3 weeks. Now that I’ve closed the door for most of the time the growth seems to be happening a bit quicker. I still haven’t given these plants any nutrients beyond what the Fox farm soil has provided. I want to try giving one nutrients early into veg next time around to see how it effects or affects the plant.

Beginning of week 7(Veg): They seem really happy. There’s a bit of purple on some of the older fan leaf stems of the normal clone. This has been here for a few weeks, and it doesn’t seem to be spreading or getting worse, so I’ll just get it go for now. The smaller of the two really took off this week. I’m still training it, but it’s kind of tough. Sometimes I feel when I don’t get it right the lower ones just fully stop growing. I think I’ll be going for bloom in about 3 more weeks. Really hope to see more soon.

Should I be feeding my clones in veg? I keep them in solo cups for 1 month, afterwards transplanted to a 3 gallon pot. Soil is fertilized, so I don't think I should be feeding, but my clones seem small. Soil: Fox farm ocean forest

If the soil is fertilised then you shouldn't need to feed anything , and if you truly must feed something to keep yourself busy try enzymes or humic & fluvik acids . They seem slow from being root bound because they stayed too long in those solo cups. You should be checking your incoming pH if you can, might be a bit high if they are showing the start of Cal/mag deficiency , what you can do if you have any on hand is make a foliar spray with it , spray until dripping wet every day for 5 days and see if they "recover" I put that in quotes because it doesn't seem like very serious. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Week 8(Veg) This week the LST’d, Biggie smalls the wife calls her 😀, plant is really doing well. Tons of tops starting to form. I’m really getting excited about this plant. The wife and I rearranged the closet that I’m growing in. It looks much better and it’s easier to use than before. Also it doesn’t look so half ass’d. Couple more weeks of veg for this girls and then she’s going to the grow tent and into bloom. The normal plant will just be a mother.

These girls are putting on quite a bit of growth. The taller of the 2 really likes to drink a lot of water, and the smaller doesn’t seem to drink much at all. Tomorrow I’ll probably give them their first nutrients. They’ve been in that soil for about a month and only taking the nutrients from that. Hopefully with some more nutrients they’ll grow more aggressively. I couldn’t control myself with the tall clone. I planned to leave it alone and keep her as a mother, but I really enjoy training and figured I could get some pretty large clones from her if I trained her as well. Last night I moved more powerful LED light that I have into the room. My flowering plant just went into 36 hours of darkness before I harvest her, so may as well give these clones about a week and a half of this light. Is it possible to over train a plant? I feel I’ve just tied the smaller clone (biggie smalls) to the soil and haven’t allowed her to really bulk up…

Beginning of week 10(veg): Wow the progress this week. Biggie smalls(Short one) really took off. I added my flowering LED light for these girls and they are loving it! I moved the girls into the flower tent for now. The ventilation inside my closet is horrible and I think I’m seeing white mildew spots on some leaves =( Now that they’ve been inside the grow tent for about 4 days I don’t see any signs of the white spots, which is a relief. I defoliated biggie smalls yesterday, which made it so I could really see the branch structure underneath there. I’m really happy with what I see, some really good looking branches. They no longer need the ties, they seem to be growing how I want them to, and when they don’t I give them a little bend to match the canopy height. I’m going on vacation in a month so I set purchased a drip system from amazon. After spending about 20 minute setting it up, and then painstakingly driving the stakes into the roots of my plants, I realized the product didn’t actually work. I’ve purchased another pump and some hosing, we’ll give this another go when it arrives. I’ll be feeding them again tomorrow. One more week of veg for Biggie Smalls and then she’s going for 2 days of darkness and flower. Really excited for that. Hopefully she continues the strong growth over the next week.

Beginning of week 1(Bloom) Moving forward this diary will only be about this plant (Biggie Smalls). I’m going to continue to veg the other clone I took with this girl. Not sure if I want to bloom it after I harvest this one, or if should keep her as a mother. Regardless I’ve taken 3 clones from my blooming girl that I can play around with. I’m curious when I could actually consider this girl being in bloom. Sure I’ve changed the lights to 12/12, does that instantly mean that she’s in bloom and I should assume since it has a 10 week harvest date it should be good to go around this time. She just finished up 48 hours of darkness and the growth that she has had in the darkness is really noticeable. I purchased some smaller mesh trellis netting and it seems to be about the perfect size for this plant. Last week I installed a drip watering system. The plant has really seemed to like this, I think I’ll continue to use this even though it was only really bought to be used while on vacation. I’m not sure if I’m over watering it, but since she’s not droopy or anything I’m just going to keep it as is. Right now it waters 2 times a day for 1 minute at a time. The pump is only a 50lph pump, so it doesn’t seem to be over watering. I really look forward to the next month with this girl, she should really take off. Hopefully this time around I can have a larger yield.

Beginning of week 2(Bloom): This girl has exploded! She is getting huge fast. I’m really happy with the progress of this girl. Pictures this week are taken 1 week after 12/12 light started. A few of my leaves were looking somewhat waterlogged, that’s the best way I can describe it. I’m thinking I’m over watering her, but then again the growth has been great. I’m going to cut the water to half of what I’ve been giving and see how she looks in a few days. This girl looks like she will be quite a big bigger than my last grow. I did some defoliating to her last night. I’m trying to stay on top of the new growth under the canopy. I’m not sure how many times I should be removing the growth. But If I notice something decent sized under the canopy that will just leech I’ll clip it. Hope it’ s not too hard on her. Thanks for checking out my grow!😊

Week 3(Bloom): She has packed on a lot of pistils this week. Overall she’s looking really good. I think I’m under watering her. Last night and tonight when the light came on she looked pretty droopy. I’ve given her some more water today. Tomorrow when the light comes on I’ll give her a look and see. I did lift the plant to see if it was heavy or light, she was very light. Hopefully she snaps out of it. I’m very happy with this girl. This week the growth wasn’t as rapid, this could be because of not enough water, not sure though. Starting to see a bit more vertical growth Thanks for checking out the diary! 👊

When she's in early bloom should I continue to train with the trellis net(Tucking tall tops under so they're all even)? Or should I leave her alone and let her stretch?

When you are scroging with a net you want to fill the whole net with the canopy so you should continue your training until the end if the stretch to maximuse the benefits

Beginning of week 4(Bloom) Plant has been neglected for the past few days. I’ve been super sick since Friday. That being said picture quality this week will be less than preferred, not much effort was put into this since I’m feeling like trash. She’s looking good, a little droopy, I let her reservoir dry out for a day. She should bounce back well though. She’s really starting to produce crystals. This week I’m doubling the amount nutrients. Up until now I’ve only been feeding her at half the amount recommended by the manufacturer. I’m hooking up a 7 gallon reservoir this week as I’ll be on vacation for the next week and a half. I hope she does alright being completely unsupervised for that amount of time. Also I hope that my clones/mother survive the entire ordeal. No more vacations for a while. Thanks for checking out my diary. Good luck with your grow! 😊 Feb 26: Feeling better today, so I gave her some love/abuse and took some better pictures. This girl is beautiful and exploding. I cleaned a lot of the lower leaves/buds off. I should have stayed on top of it more while it was younger because I feel I took quite a bit off. It hurts to remove buds, even if they’re really small and won’t really amount to anything decent.

Week 6(Bloom): My vacation was hell for my poor plant 😥 I set up a 7 gallon bucket with a pump and timer. I didn’t test it before I left… The bucket was lower than the plant so I’m assuming once the pump kicked on the rest of the water siphoned into the plant. So she probably took the entire 7 gallons of water on day 1 and staved the entire time I was gone. When I came home she was sitting in about 2 inches of water. The entire tent was flooded. She looked like hell, leaves were showing signs of some deficiencies I haven’t seen before. I let her dry out for 2 days. It was tough to do, but I wanted to make sure that there was enough air to the roots after that much water for so long. I gave her a full does of nutrients. I really hope she bounces back from this. With all of that happening she still has matured quite a bit, the buds have sized up a bit. I feel this setback of a week will really affect my yield. Better luck next time I guess, and no more vacations… I should have taken pictures of it immediately following my return, but it was really hard to stomach. I didn’t want to really show that off. But my current pictures make it look pretty decent. If you look close at the buds in the picture you can really see the damage done.

Week 7(Bloom): Plant isn’t looking so hot. Not sure what to do really, I think she’s still hungry... I fed her tonight and gave a half gallon of the mixture to her at once. The buds still look really nice, and do seem to be getting bigger. I hope what’s going on with the leaves won’t start affecting the buds. I upped one of the nutrients this week that by 5ml(BioMarine). I've always kept it at 5ml/gallon, but this week I did 10ml.

I didn't actually harvest this plant on this week. I just wanted to wrap this diary up with a harvest. Week 10 Harvested on April 20th 😀 This plant went through actual hell. It was flooded with 7 gallons of water for a week while I was on vacation. The plant never recovered. I tried everything I could thing of... Completely drying it out for a week... flushing, not feeding, over feeding, normal feeding... this plant never recovered. I was frustrated with the fact that it happened and somewhat gave up on the plant and the diary. I eventually let the plant die of thirst after not watering for 10 days before harvest. At the end the fact that I got the exact same yield from this plant as the first SSH I harvested is good. I feel if this girl didn't have the flood issue happen she would have really produced a lot of bud. Next plant will be strong 👊
