Since this is my very first time growing anything. I accidently dropped the fan on one of the very healthy gelato seedlings and another one didnt germinate. Hence, 3 Humboldt Sour Diesel seeds germinated and 2 Gelato by Barney's Farm seeds germinated. Any other grower with a little experience would have had a 100 percent germination success. However, the Gelato by Barney's Farm took longer to germinate. The Humboldt Sour Diesel seeds germinated fast and are growing faster than gelato as well. The summer is going to be even hotter. So, I am hoping that my plants survive or atleast some of them.I am planning on repotting all of them in 3 gal fabricpots in a few weeks depending on the growth and health.

I am very impressed by humboldt seed companys sour diesel. She is easy to grow and tight internode spacing. The Gelato by Barney´s Farm is growing slow. The temperatures fluctuate moderately and the humidity is rather on the lower side around 40 percent.

The Sour Diesel uses a lot of nutrients, grows fast and responses well to LST and Topping. I have 3 Jelly Donutz from Humboldt Seed company in the back that i just planted 2 days ago. Hopefully , all 3 sprout. I have promised my friends SD1 and Gelato. So, their weekly progress will not be included in the next posts

High temperatures and nutrient burn. At this point i have no idea what i am doing. Every now and then SD2 and SD3 release typical weed smell but apart from that no other smell. The stems upon rubbing and touching smell like cinammon, cloves and orange zest.It reminds me of fanta drink.

SD2 has had nutrient burn for 2 consecutive weeks now which stunted her growth as well. I flushed her with tap water already but she is still growing slow. My question is what can i do so she recovers fast and grows normally as i was gonna flip them to flower in 10 days? Help

The two smaller plants are getting way too much light, so i'm going to guess this is actually light-related and not necessarily nute-related. Also, the one plant looks more yellow on the side that is twoard center of tent vs side near wall. More evidence to support the light being the cause if it is not a trick of photography. Regardless, i can see that the two smalelr plants have nodes that are way too tight and that happens due to too much light. They are also extra pale, anotehr sign of too much. flushing probably just slowed them down more. no biggie, live and learn. Get the light right, and that plant will perk up. I'd do that first before adjusting any nutrient concentration, unless it takes a nosedive. Better to do this 1 step at a time. Fixing the light situation may fix everything.

I moved the led light away from the the plants around 35cm and the plants showed progress and growth. SD2 still has lighter color but she still grew. I will switch to flower once the jelly donutz seedlings( smaller plants that are fully in the pictures) have recovered. I thank everyone for their help.

Beginning of 3rd week of flowering. F21 The worm castings worked and brought SD2 back to life. SD3 buds, sugar leaves smell like orange zest/ orange concentrate(sweet). The stems smell like cloves and woody. SD2 buds, sugar leaves havent developed yet to notice any smells. SD2,SD3 both didnt stretch much. Very tight internodal spacing.

F29 beginning of 4th week of flowering SD3 - initially sweet orange then engine grease SD2 - initially sharp vaseline then engine grease mixed with kerosine.I personally like SD2 more. Even with the stunted growth. SD3 is getting yellow from the bottom and i dont know what to do. I had thrips so i sprinkled diatomaceus earth on top of the soil and rubbed some on the fan leaves and stems. Sorry for the reddish pics

Beginning of 6th week of flowering F36 SD2 smells like a burning tire next to an engine oil spill. The smell is aggressive and gets into your nose. SD3 smells like sweet engine grease with a warmth. The smell is inviting.

F43 a bit of nutrient burn because of the high temps. SD2 smell : engine grease mixed with kerosine. Imagine spilling grease in a corner of a tire shop. SD2 isnt developing normal and wont probably yield much. SD3 smell : sweet engine grease.Very pleasant. Sour Diesel needs getting used to in terms of smell and aroma

F50 Day 50 of flowering Humboldt Sour Diesel SD2 smells like vaseline/engine grease and tire burning with an oil/kerosine spill. The smell will get in your nose whether you like it or not and the smell has a thickness to it. SD3 smells like sweet oranges but mostly engine grease. A warm aroma, very pleasant. The buds are firm.

F57 Humboldt Sour Diesel I made tea with SD2 and SD3. SD2 is very cerebral and racy and SD3 euphoric and relaxing. Both smell like a freaking mechanic/tire shop. It was good in the beginning, now i am tired of smelling grease. I also dont know if the ladies are ready for harvest. So I am gonna just harvest around F80-88. Are they ready if i want a heavy couchlock effect? FYI, the plants dont smell enough to use a carbon filter. In my opinion, not necessary

Judging by your diary, you’ve already hit the 8 week mark. I think you’re pretty much within the harvest window based on other diaries of the same strain. Most people let it flower 8 weeks. If couch lock is what you want. I would look at the tricromes every day and when you see about 75% of them amber to 25% milky, would be prime time to harvest.

F66 Humboldt Sour Diesel SD3 only the tops buds swoll. the rest of the main colas didnt fatten up. Maybe it was me or the genetics or just the light distribution? She doesnt smell as vibrant as at F50-55. I dont know if she was ready back then SD2 buds fattened up and since she showed signs of flowering a week later than SD2, it seems she is ready for harvest now as the she smells more vibrant right now at F66 I harvested Humboldt Sour Diesel at F68.
