Madd_Rez Doing my usual paper towel method and getting these into 2 quart pots. Tried to put photos in their final pot last time and it wasn't great. Back to basics.

Madd_Rez These 4 will be going into the Autopots once they're big enough and the pots are free. Hanging out in 2 quart pots in the 2x2 til then. Trying out Jack's 321 nutes, supposed to be extremely water soluble. And with the pH spike I had in the reservoir before, going a different route.

Madd_Rez Still having pH issues. So I imagine I'm not taking my time and letting the solutions rest and steep like I should has a lot to do with it at the point. I've got a lot of grows going on so I may be inadvertently cutting corners, which is a no-no. Been monitoring pH like crazy the past few days and it's made a big difference. Up to the 3 gallon pots now that everyone's happier.

Madd_Rez After getting my water pH back on track using new to me nutrients. Took them outside for some real sun and left them out a little too long so everyone got a little burnt. Will be topping this end of the week despite my setbacks...unless I do something else dumb. Posting the good weeks and the bad. Things happen.

Madd_Rez Busy week! All training has been done so we're ready to grow a little more still. Topped, defoliation and LST, Ive had the best results mixing these methods - as long as I keep up with it. Apple Glitters are definitely going to be good sized, MAC1's are gonna be super dense and bushy.

Madd_Rez Thinned all the ladies out in prep for flip next week. Think the Jacks nutes are easier on the pH and since I keep messing around, I e been using too much pH down. Changed to just a ml per gal. Should help with this last bit of nutes issues. We're flipping either way!
Apple Glitter's should stretch quite a bit and it's looking like the MAC1's are gonna be stout and bushy. Only did LST on the Apple Glitter in hopes their end hight with be a better match. Sure they won't but I tried.

Madd_Rez Tallest Apple Glitter is 15" so decided to do a decent defoliation and will be flipping in 7 days. The MAC1 x Candylands and definitely shorter and busier. Not really responding to my usual trimming like the AG. Noth should be good cultivars in the end!

Madd_Rez Flip. Girls are looking good! The stunted Apple Glitter will be a decent plant but won't stretch like her sister. The largest plant in back Right is leading the charge. Going to need to prop up the other plants to keep an even canopy. May need to adjust my Jacks ratios as there a slight phosphorus deficiency starting

Madd_Rez Switched back from Bloom boost to Part A after a 14 day feeding. Added Head Masta which has quite a bit of monopotassium phosphate so giving this a try. May add CalMag next week as I have other plants showing deficiency. Can't risk it during flower

Madd_Rez Starting to have a little color change starting. The trichomes coming in on both these cultivars is pretty crazy. Base of some fan leaves are just covered. Can't wait! Completing 3 week defoliating in the next day or so.

Madd_Rez The MAC1 cross is literally a purple flower. Excited to see what happens with them, looking a little low on the nitrogen, they are hungry girls. The AG is stacking nice and has almost a muffin smell, bet it'll have an apple jacks vibe. Before too long.

Madd_Rez Probably the most colorful grow I've had. The Apple Glitter run is 2 different phenos, justing by the size and colors. Tons of trichomes all over both. Sugar leaves, fan leaves are covered.
MAC1 x Candyland is not stacking like I thought. Quite a bit of spacing between nodes. Wounlnt even call the tops colas so much as just buds. These buds are golf ball sized and fo more than halfway down - past my lollipopping. And dense. Rock hard dense.
Not large colas but there's also no lard either. Every nug is covered in trichomes with guest of purple deeper in the flower. Smells like Gushers fruit snacks.

LST training has always posed a problem for me especially growing autoflowers
For instance in the last grow the one I’m growing right now my plants were as robust as I’ve ever grown but in 14 days they had 5 sets of nodes but only about four inches tall and a stalk as stiff as a pencil. No way was she going to be bent over and tided down.
So this brings me to your pictures and in pictures the one close up showing clips used to LST. Very interesting are those clips where ever did you get them. They might be just the solution I’m looking for to LST autoflowers.
@sanibelisl, if you search LST clips online there should be a bunch of options to choose from. Mine came from Amazon.
I started growing Autoflowers this year and noticed their training needed adjusting often compared to photos - probably the accelerated growth, and are indeed stiffer much sooner. I reduced light intensity and they stretched a bit to give me more plant to work with and manipulate. It's been a lot easier to train them after that. These clips are great! No ties, and after a week you can take them off and move them further up the branch to continue spreading out the plant. Hope that helps!
