Marmelade 2-3 days in water and then into a cup for germination. All seeds started between 07.05.2024 and 15.05.2024. But for simplicity, I put everything on one date. I had very bad experiences with coco tabs. The paper didn't dissolve, and the roots only grew out over it. I suspect it's because the soil lacks microorganisms. Maybe it will work directly in the flower bed...

Marmelade After my first attempt unfortunately got overwatered, here’s my second try. Now it’s also significantly warmer than in April. Overall, we have 2 x 3 plants now. Another plant is still growing in the other report. There’s a seedling standing by as a backup, but it probably won’t make it. The seed opened up with the cotyledons underground. Unfortunately, it’s a case for the trash can…

Marmelade The weather isn't so great this week. Right now, it's really coming down this weekend. The plants are growing well and forming new leaves. The fungus gnats are getting a bit out of hand. I've set up yellow traps everywhere, which have already caught many. Additionally, I've ordered nematodes. I ordered lacewing larvae for the aphids. The aphids are mostly on the chilis, but they don't spare the little hemp plants either. Since we're at a wedding today, I'll fertilize tomorrow or in the next few days. I can't gauge if the soil is too wet because the rain is pushing onto the balcony. Generally, I give each of the plants that already have three proper leaf pairs 200-300ml of solution according to the BioBizz feeding schedule.

Marmelade During the week, I released nematodes and beneficial nematodes. The former are supposed to control the fungus gnats, and the latter are for the aphids. The chilis are totally infested with aphids, and I have legitimate safety concerns. All except the smallest plant have received fertilizer for the first time. That one should grow for another week and then get some. Weather-wise, it was mixed, but there was enough sun for growth. I'm troubled by the thought that with the six plants, we might be above the legal limit for yields. As it stands now, after drying, the excess would have to be disposed of immediately. I should be able to manage that. I don't really care if I have to dispose of a few grams since I'm not a big smoker anyway. However, even 100g (2 x 50g) is an unimaginably large amount for us. We'll be smoking that for ages, considering these are potent strains with a lot of THC. Ideally, I would like to give away three plants, but each of them has cost me about 25€ with the pot, soil, and seeds...

Marmelade Just like our oldest lady, the little sisters are also growing at lightning speed. Leading the pack are the two Skunk plants, which are the best-developed plants. Unfortunately, they are also the ones that worry me the most when it comes to odor development later on. They might end up in the compost bin. There hasn't been any water this week. I bought a pH tester and found that the substrate is significantly too moist, with values around 72% - 80%. That's why there hasn't been any water for the last 7 days. I'll only water again when the humidity is at 50%. With the current weather and the size of the plants, that will probably take a while. Then I'll also add new nutrients. Another thing is the information from the seed banks, which I'm starting to doubt a bit. I already knew that the yield wouldn't be the promised 350g+. The same goes for the speed and everything else, which obviously only applies to full professionals under lab conditions. At least outdoors, you have enough time to stress the plant, etc. They aren't that fast after all, and aggressively marketing autoflowers to beginners isn't very smart either. For the supposedly higher speed, you sacrifice yield. Theoretically, all these plants should be ready to harvest in 2 months. I doubt that! Anyway, I'll just let them keep going and see what comes out...

Marmelade The plants are getting taller and bushier. Three out of five plants are in bloom. The other two are in pre-bloom. I left out the vinegar this time. Each plant got 2 liters of water. Since nothing ran out down there, I think they were really thirsty. It was also very hot these days and the substrate was dry. Generally, I water every 2-3 days now. The Skunk is the furthest along. It went into bloom very small, which is in contrast to the Sticky Orange XXL. Maybe it will get another growth spurt. I’m excited to see. Furthermore, I have feeding marks from thrips. I’ve now released packets with predatory mites against them. It’s funny that eBay is advertising everywhere that these beneficials are also suitable for cannabis. There seems to be a booming demand for that. Lastly, a big thank you to everyone who follows and comments on me!!! Without you, I probably wouldn’t be this active. I recently received a gift from a friend. I couldn’t really enjoy the high with a family that could come in at any moment. I don’t like being high around sober people or alone. It used to be easier. Now everyone has families and no time or would rather drink beer…

Marmelade I probably didn't water enough at the beginning of the week, and a few leaves are deformed. Now, depending on the weather, I'm giving 2 liters of water every 2-4 days. Otherwise, there's a slight smell noticeable. When you have the window open in the evening, it comes in. Hopefully, no neighbor has complained these last few weeks... One of the Sticky Orange XXL is gone. It just got too cramped. This negatively affected the light and my wife's space needs. Besides that, I have a bad feeling that the yield is going to be too high, and I'm trying to counteract that. The Sticky Orange XXL from the other report has really become too huge.

Marmelade I successfully dealt with fungus gnats and thrips. Now I have these whiteflies and I've lost my motivation. I'm just letting them be now… I haven't defoliated because the sun is coming through well. Additionally, I turn the plant once a week. The water consumption has noticeably increased, but the plants have also grown quite tall by now. However, the maturity of the plants is very different. While one Skunk is small and bushy, the other is shooting up. The former is already fully in bloom and has formed the first trichomes, while the other is still quite at the beginning. The other two are also still pretty much at the start. Weather-wise, it was mixed this week. Many of the announced thunderstorms just barely passed by, and it was sunny at times and cloudy at others. A German summer, like the ones you remember from the past…

Marmelade A Skunk is very far along in the flowering stage. I gave it the maximum dose of nutrients. The other plants received according to flowering week 4 or 5. I can't remember exactly right now because someone is always asking something from me... Next week, all the plants will get the full dose. In terms of smell, the Skunks are harmless compared to the pungent smell of the Sticky Orange. Visually, all the plants are healthy and well-developed. Only the big Skunk obviously had a bit too little water. It's very thirsty and almost demands water daily. I now water based on need. I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Aside from the Skunk, the rest probably need at least 3-4 more weeks. I'm already looking forward to the space I'll get back!

Marmelade The little Skunk, which is already quite far along, is getting the full fertilizer program. The rest are getting one level below the maximum according to the fertilization scheme. All of them shot up again this week with the good weather. Buds are forming everywhere, and the Grapefruit Punch XXL will probably form a huge main cola. All the little flowers will later grow together into a massive monster bud. The two WSS Skunks couldn't be more different. One is compact and bushy. It already has many thick buds and is by far the furthest along. The other has shot up vigorously and is therefore quite airy. The flowers are numerous but still small. However, a lot of yield will come from this later. Blueberry Zkittles is also growing strong upwards and is getting quite bushy. It doesn't have as many flowers as the rest, but it will still produce a good yield. There are aphids on some leaves. I don't want to introduce beneficial insects so close to the end. I'm counting on nature to regulate itself. On the quite infested chilis, I suddenly had a jumping spider, a black wasp species, and ladybug larvae. As soon as the aphids were gone, these beneficials disappeared too. Maybe the story will repeat itself. Furthermore, I found white eggs on one leaf. I removed that leaf and didn't find any more eggs. Last year, I had bugs on the peppers that caused a lot of feeding damage. I had to pick them off with tweezers. Nipping it in the bud!

Marmelade General: the water requirement has increased proportionally with size. Each one is thirsty for 1.5 to 3 liters a day. Everyone got the full fertilizer today. No desire for individual care. The pH level in the substrate is too high at 7.0. I suspect my measuring device from AliExpress isn't reliable. Still, just to be safe, I added a splash of lemon juice to the water. The weather was really good at the beginning of the week. In the second half, it was rather cloudy and windy. Two plants need support now due to their size. Almost all have aphids, but a few weeks before the end, I don't feel like doing anything about it anymore. Blueberry Zkittles: the plant has grown tall. Buds are forming everywhere. However, they are not really big yet and still need about three to five weeks. I removed some small stunted leaves and flowers from the bottom. The flowers won't finish in time if the rest is already that far along. Grapefruit Punch: the plant is still quite small, and the buds are only slowly developing. Compared to the other plants, however, the flowers are more white than green. At least noticeably lighter. This plant will definitely be a heavy producer. The many small flowers will grow into a massive cola. WSS Skunk: The smaller of the two skunks already has massive buds. The pistils are changing color here as well. This one also received fertilizer for the last time today or maybe once more at most. I assume it will be ready for harvest quite soon. However, the terpenes are still all clear. They smell fine, not nearly as intense as Sticky Orange XXL. The taller of the two skunks is now also entering the hot phase of flowering. It has hardly grown taller, and the buds have increased massively. The water consumption is the highest here. I can well imagine that it will yield a lot. But it still needs at least four to five weeks.

Marmelade The report is a bit shorter because I have a hangover from yesterday. This week there’s no fertilizer. They need longer than I thought, and the leaves have fertilizer burn. Now they should first use up what I over-fertilized last week. Furthermore, I manually removed the aphids from the leaves. I also picked off a few caterpillars. Additionally, I noticed powdery mildew on the Grapefruit Punch. Somehow, I’m dealing with the full program when it comes to cannabis. Before this, I only had spider mites once in my entire career. Today, I happened to see a little black wasp grab an aphid. However, there are so many aphids that it won’t be able to keep up. I’ve now sprayed everything, including the buds, with neem oil. I hope this will help control the aphids and the powdery mildew as well. I couldn’t spray the undersides of the leaves because the bottle couldn’t manage it. Tomorrow I’ll check how successful the action was.

Marmelade No fertilizer this week. I’ll probably be able to add something on Monday/Tuesday. I watered today and forgot to fertilize. The neem oil has shown results. Almost all the aphids are dead or gone. The two Skunks seem to be the furthest along. The big one is starting to discolor its leaves and almost all the pistils are dried up. I’ll check with the magnifying glass tomorrow. It was all stressful today. Grapefruit Punch and Blueberry Skittles are still growing and probably need another 2-4 weeks. They’ll get more fertilizer.

Marmelade I harvested the little Skunk this week. While trimming, I noticed that the lower buds are big and heavy, but definitely not ready yet. It was just too late. Accordingly, I partially harvested the second Skunk and fed it a bit again. According to my research, you should do it this way for outdoor growing. This way, even the weaker buds will get bigger and more potent. I based my selection on the pistils. Anything that was mostly brown went under the knife. Unfortunately, I forgot to weigh it. But I estimate that the yield was lower than with the little Skunk. Since my drying capacity is maxed out until the middle of next week, this situation is actually working in my favor. So far, I find Grapefruit Punch the most interesting because the buds look different from the others. They are lighter, and you can see the calyxes. I'm not sure if these buds will get significantly thicker. They are rather skinny compared to the other plants. The pistils have also started to change color here, but only about 20% so far. Blueberry Skittles is still the least developed. It will need at least another 3-4 weeks. However, it has grown nice and bushy and still has the potential to produce well.

Gewicht feucht = 173 Gramm

Marmelade The buds weren't very dense. They weren't really proper buds, but more like elongated clusters of calyxes. You could clearly see the individual calyxes.
