TD1 Seed popped in 3 days, TD2 needed a LOT of help and was at least a week behind (above soil but couldn't get out of her shell). Used pliers to crack/remove - was hardened over the cotyldons, so here's hoping she turns out OK.... [Foreshadowing]: TD2 turned out to have MAJOR problems going into flower, didn't auto, and will be posted in another diary called TD2/Neville's Haze. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to do another run of this RootFarm media or maybe try do DWC, I have the gear for either, we'll see.

A little early for food, but also the first time sprouting under Blurple LED's (Mars Bar 24" @50w) - so added calmag and a super-light dose of the rest. Not intentionally mixing up the recipe, that's not how the 3-part works. Transplanted into drumroll..... Autopots!!, the Low-tech bottom feed system. I'm using the recommended 1.5" hydroton rinsed and pH'd to 6.5 in the bottom (the remaining medium is RootFarm Hydro Mix, an 'organically ammended coco' with 20% added perlite). And I'll be sticking with 6.5 in pH and adjust if req'd based on the plants' response. Lastly, topped TD1, and FIM'd TD2 - she's really having a tuff go so far.

Turned on the Autopots with ~10L in reservoir with 20G/20M/10B + 20CalMag at the beginning of the week. Leaves were JUST reaching the edges of the pots, so I guess they're ready. Top fed 1L each to help with wicking while system gets balanced.

Training going well, TD1 appears to be setting buds nicely / preflowering. TD2 isn't quite as far ahead, maybe another week or so for her. I can't seem to keep stable nute pH in the rez either, it's rising like crazy (7.7+) in a day and there's no mixing pump or aerator in there. Added a mixing pump to help maintain pH and nute mix - monitor throughout the week.

pH creep in the res continues, seemed to stabilize at 6.85 this week, but still too high. Also battling temps & humidity - Inkbird devices (humidity/temp) are VERY FUZZY with logic, if exhaust fan on 'cooling' then it wouldn't turn on 'till 76deg, meaning no air exchange when lightsout. Humidity alarm (RH@75% EEEK!) 6AM... Both starting to show minor high-pH issues (mag/zinc def), still trying to figure out all these "new system" variables...

Full week of preflower & stretch. Night temps sorted with Oil filled heater, now keeping up at 68-70 deg, was getting as low as 62 overnight. With the heater in there it also appears TD2 is taking up more nutes mix than TD1, a little odd, but carying on. [MORE FORESHADOWING]

Streeeeeeeeeetching out! This should get interesting, but I'm still concerned about the pH issues & TD2 not flowering, preflowering, or otherwise.

It's been a bit of a roller coaster this week, but I'd like to get started on BigBud, so TD2 may need to move soonish... [ TD1 ] - Stretch mostly done, filling out realllllly nicely but some of the same but to a lesser degree issues as TD2. [ TD2 ] - STILL NOT FLOWERING?! - Showing yellowing/limey with green veins + purple stems = early maganese, zinc (lower pH nute) def - is closer to heater, likely pulling more from rez when heat is ON Something definitely up.. Tested medium & runoff, high in both, TD1 @ 6.8 w/850PPM | TD2 @7.7 1250PPM Result: Flushed each with 6GAL R/O to return to 6.2 @ 300PPM. In my defense, I'm still figuring out this medium - it's not really soilless, but isn't really soil, and definitely isn't organic but has organic compounds in it. Getting there though...or at least learning what not to do..

- Progressively dropping humidity all week (aiming for 35%) - Dropping the pH as well (aiming for 5.8-6.2 [gonna try better/narrower control]). - Leveled out the 3-part AN nutes, messing with the base recipe not helping anything. - Added BigBud to the res/mix, for this week and next. - Still haven't moved TD2, need to setup another separate treatment environment for her, and maybe a new journal... will start next week with that. Her new journal will be/is here at: [Link to journal]

RH in range for major protective oil & terp development response. What a gorgeous plant. Cold nights + early pH & nute issues have given her such a beautiful purple & yellow colour, with the smell of a bag of smashed oranges - SO DELICIOUS! Couple more weeks to go, and time to bring out the DSLR...

Can't believe this seed popped mid-October, that felt really really fast! Top FLUSHED: 8L: pH 6.5 @ 130ppm without nutes. Runoff @ 200ppm @ 6.5pH. Dry out for the first 1/2 of the week, followed by 48h cold/dark, then chop next weekend!

Tangerine Dream is a potent, mostly sativa anytime cruiser. Lost a lot of smell during drying but came back through and through with cure time. A little head-cloudy and a lot relaxed, TD doesn't keep you up at night but isn't too head-busy either. One of my all time favs as a daily driver that makes anything more enjoyable.

Thankfully I have more of these seeds, this was a great grow, but only 1 of 2 seeds turned out to be Tangerine Dream. The other is still going (and I now know it's a photo-haze of some other sort). I only wish both of the seeds were the same - Fingers crossed for my next TD run.
