Today (Mon. 17. June) she is 11 weeks old, and still barely showing any signs of aging. Some buds have more orange pistils, other less, but the majority of buds just grew a little bit fatter, without much visual difference otherwise. Maybe a bit more frosty. I think the flowers still look much to young, to start checking trichomes (please comment if you think otherwise), but lets see what happens till the end of the week. Her fragrance is more fruity now. Still not a very strong smell. Not that we need to worry about this too much in Germany anymore, but we also don't want to piss off the neighbors with pungant smell. But so far that is not really an issue.

We also discovered more brown spots on the leaves. You can see it on some of the pictures. We believe it might be a potassium deficiency, because we maybe added a bit too much calmag in the end? Todays feeding round we didn't add any calmag, and we hope it helps.

Probably a little nutrient lock out causing a calcium deficiency. IDK why you add cal mag for soil. Coco - yes, soil, no. Check and calibrate meter Check ppm /ec under 2.0 Check ph (soil 6.5) Calibrate those meters!

I am a little bit worried about the colas growing quite close to each other, and quite dense (the side branches are basically all start to grow into the main bud of the cola). Should we do something to get a bit more space and ventilation inbetween? (more pics and video in diary)

You can always try to pull them apart using string. They do not need much space but the main concern is proper airflow. Proper airflow can also be achieved by thinning out some leaves. A combination of pulling apart the branches and thinning out the leaves will give you the results you are looking for. This should be a very low stress event so you should not see negative impact when done properly. Just be mindful not to pull a branch too much this late because they are very stiff and prone to breaking. Hope this helps.

Could these white spots be mildew? We could easily just basically shake them off, without any residue remaining. Currently only discovered in those two spots seen on the picture. In pics I find from mildew, it usually starts more dusty.. I also made one picture under the micro.

the close up in pic 4 is not. it would look like a web of threads covering things. This doesn't look quite like WPM. Can't be 100% certain. It'll grow quite fast, so if it's not spreading it's not wpm. Usually starts in a round-ish shape and a bit fuzzy looking. Magnified it;s a bunch of thread-like stuff. here's a good example from reddit -- just imagine a smaller roundish start.. but that's how it always looked when i had it. Ther emay be other variations? if so i haven't seen them, yet. This is usually plant-specific pathogen, so should be fairly consistent.

Noticed some dry curled up leaves in the lower parts of the plant. It's exclusively smaller leaves. From top the plant still looks quite healthy (check other pictures in the diary). Is this nutrient burn? Is it normal that it start in smaller leaves at the bottom?

when I see this on my plants it nominally from watering issues and compact medium. I would just pluck them off. and keep going, your almost done.

Are these trichomes already cloudy? Are there tiny spots of amber visible as well? Most pictures in the web show clear vs cloudy from different angles, so I have trouble to really tell the difference. How close would you think we are to harvest, and should I start flushing?

Take a pic from another part, there's no trick heads on these pics of the leaf. Maybe we can see it better 🤜🏼🤛🏽☺️

90% cloudy, check the transparence on the black backscreen. Its black color is barely shining through/ you can beraly see through them. Its perfect time to flush now, you can harvest in 10-14days? Or even later, all a thing of preference and what you want. I Would flush for atleast 10days, 14 better imo. But i saw a lot of people only do around 7 days, so think that should work too

I know, not again that question! But as novice growers, I think we can't get enough Feedback on this topic. What do you think? We would probably harvest in a couple of days.

It's hard to see the trichomes, but they look mostly transparent and there are no visible amber colored ones. Best to wait another week and check in the mean time.

Depends how you like your smoke and/or if you'd like your flowers to have a chance to bulk up a bit... Judging by the photos, you got plenty of time left to test your patience and skills of observation, maybe even a bit more flushing to do? Personally I'd only go 1-2 more weeks max and shoot for an amber rate of 10-15% average across the plant. A good tip for figuring out how you like your trichs to look is to shoot for an amber rate of 15% on the area that is most mature on the plant as the plant never matures evenly. Then you can sort buds post harvest after scoping them and put like trichs with like trichs. Test smoke each and make notes of the trichs of the ones that do you right. If you find that 15% is too much of a couch-locking experience, you can always dilute the more mature buds with less mature ones in a grinder to strike balance.
