Overall good progress. I am a little concerned because some of the top leaves are curling up. Also i started having problems with fungus gnats. I try watering with a funnel to reach deeper soil layers to prevent them from populating further.

Hello Growers! The size of my Fat Banana Automatic is getting out of hand. I didnt expect it to grow that big. It is in Week 6 now and its about 80cm tall + the size of the pot. Can i still take measures to keep the size down a little bit? Or is it to late? Thanks for your help.

Hello, The should be no problem in just bending her and tying her down with some plant ties or how you call it. You don't wanna cut an Automatic because of the limited time you got. I would move the pot a bit to the right. Take the main stem and tie it down somewhere on the pot (maybe make a small hole in the pot for the plant ties). Don't go to far just so you got your distance again to the light. Never bend her below the horizontal level, that will stress her too much and you don't wanna break her. If you should damage some leafs. That's not that bad. If you should break her stem use some isolation tape or electrical tape to wrap it around and keep the wound wet. She will recover if it's not too much damage and if you wrap the wound properly. Hope this helps.

Hi good luck with your grow. just a little warning: My tallest banana was 23cm before flower. Now I am in beginning of flower week 3 and the tallest one already is 58cm and still keeps growing 3-5cm/day. Without LST she'd be even taller. So I think that it is likely that your plant could also triple its height during the flower stretch...

@bogus, no, most growth always happens in the beginning of flower. So for my bananas flower week 2-3

@taprootArmy, Thanks a lot for your feedback. And yes, i have made that same observation :D I am entering week 5 today and the plant is at almost 80cm. Every day when i open the tent i can see noticable hight increase. I was hoping, that growth would decrease in the flowering state...
