Grow_in_Franken No idea how to do anything, the main thing is to have started With the Royal Dwarf, I tried paper towel once and glass of water once. The glass of water method didn't really work for me. Paper towel was a complete success. After the seeds germinated, I put them in regular soil in small containers. I later found out that this isn't so great for the autos.

Grow_in_Franken To counteract the stretching, I repotted and buried the plants deeper. The root ball was well developed in all three plants. I repotted the dwarfs into large pots and the Sour Diesel into a roughly ~5-liter container. For all of them, I added clay pebbles to prevent waterlogging. Additionally, I got a plastic tomato greenhouse. The weather is gradually getting better.

Grow_in_Franken The greenhouse and the repotting, as well as the warmer temperatures, are noticeably good for the plants. However, the next mistake has come. I got a bit too eager with the watering. I took a break for a few days.

Grow_in_Franken The water withdrawal was definitely the right decision. The plants are finally picking up speed and growing towards the sky! To the moon! The RD's are also showing the first signs of flower stems.

Grow_in_Franken You can see that the RD that germinated using the paper towel method is slowly entering the flowering phase. The plant that used the glass of water method is a few days behind. The SD is shooting up nicely.

Grow_in_Franken Looks like I've found a good way. The little plants are growing quite well. It could just use a bit more sun and warmth... Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture this week. But there's an awesome sketch with everything included.

Grow_in_Franken At the beginning, I didn't dare to stress the plant. Now that thought is coming up more and more. However, we are currently too far into the flowering stage for the RD's. Since I'm still curious, I removed the lower shoots from the plant that's lagging a bit. It's not much. If anyone has feedback on whether I should take off more, please let me know. I'm also open to suggestions for the SD. I don't want it to get too big.....

Grow_in_Franken Well, here we are again. I'll break it down RD 1: so far so good, growing well, has light, warmth, and water. The buds are growing, everything is sprouting and thriving. It's interesting for me to see how this plant grows without interference and gives me a better feeling of how each influence affects it. The smell is quite gentle but clearly lemony, and you just want to bite into it already :P RD 2: The little defoliation it had was handled very well. I have the feeling that the buds here are already getting a bit more energy from the plant. RD 2 has also already surpassed RD 1 in height - not by much, but it's a measurable difference. SD: The little troublemaker... The topping and slight defoliation were handled quite well - at least that's what I thought. The lower fan leaves are currently turning a bit yellow. I'm still unsure if this is really related to the topping or if I'm currently watering too much? At least the wounds have all healed perfectly. I'll be a bit more sparing with the water in the next few days. My dog also thinks the plants are interesting and is once again doing great as a model ;)

Grow_in_Franken not a big update, the plants are growing well and the trichomes are clearly increasing in RD 1. The smell isn't too overpowering but it already smells like lemon. RD 2 has grown quite a bit and already has somewhat larger buds now. SD has recovered pretty well and hopefully will go into flowering soon.

Grow_in_Franken Now that the Top-Max has finally arrived, I fed the little ones with it right away. The buds in RD 1 are already getting really frosty. I'm considering starting to flush next week. The smell has also been increasing in the last few days. RD 2 is still making decent progress regarding the buds, but it's still about a week behind RD 1. The smell is increasing here as well. For both RD 1 and RD 2, I did a light defoliation today where I trimmed the fan leaves a bit. SD hasn't changed much; if I have time, I want to do a bit of LST here this week.

Grow_in_Franken SD - I repotted them into a new pot. The suspicion is that the plant got infested with aphids there. Right now, I'm treating it with black tea. It's working quite well, and the plant is already looking much healthier than a few days ago. RD1 Harvesting will happen here soon. The hairs are changing color nicely, and the trichomes are still clear. RD2 The devil got me while defoliating. I took off a bit too much. I'm curious to see how this goes from here.

drying process. Can I put my harvest in large fridge at 15°C? It has internal ventilation. To decrease the humidity I plan to add a UHU Dehumidifier. Ok? Drying. I want to use my fridge. 15°C with ventilation. Additionally, a UHU dehumidifier. Ok?

in my few , highway to disaster. i never heard fridges with low humidity, air exchange wont happen, so all what comes from bud, will be in the air ... bud rot, mold , anything will attack. you can dry in 15 cel, but normally people target 17-20.

Grow_in_Franken It was about time… The harvest went pretty well, the trichomes are milky and a bit amber. The most interesting part is actually the drying. After I originally planned to use a different drying method, I had to spontaneously change my plans. What did I do? I took a large cardboard box and connected a fan that I had lying around at home. To redirect the airflow a bit, I installed a barrier at both ends of the box to guide the airflow over and under the buds. It seems to be going quite well, but why all this? It has rained a lot lately, and with the summer heat, my basement has a relative humidity of 75%. With the constant airflow and the use of cardboard, I want to avoid the likelihood of mold. Unfortunately, I don't have any other locations… From the wet trim, I'll be making some butter next week. Smoke report to follow 😉

Hey, looks really solid! I think it's great to find someone who also starts in a tomato greenhouse :D I'm doing the same, just with Autoflowers, and I'm currently struggling with the weather conditions (rare sun) Do you keep the entrance completely open for the movement of the plants? I feel like they're not moving enough and as a result, the stem stays pretty thin. At least when I compare it to other similar grows. Wishing you continued success! :)
Grow_in_Franken
Grow_in_Franken commented2y ago
@Ramue, hey there, At first, I only left them outside at night and in bad weather. I started quite early, and the nights were a bit too cold for me. Now I leave them completely outside to avoid mold. Due to the very cool nights, the entire inside is condensing. Unfortunately, I also had the problem with the sun last month...

@Ramue, the thing with the tomato house is basically really chill to try it all out. If it turns into an indoor project, I suspect that in 3-6 months, classifieds will be flooded with offers 😉 Wishing you lots of success 💪🏼

@Grow_in_Franken, haha, we'll see how it goes. In the end, my fear of (rain=mold) won, and I got myself one of those houses. I have small windows on the left/right at the top for ventilation. So I hope it goes "wrong." Especially during flowering, I really need to figure out how to handle that with LST. Let's see... Thanks for your reply! :) Same problem at night (mid Bavaria) 8°C... I'm very curious to see how it continues! Thanks, you too, and maybe see you again soon 🙌

Hello Mobby93. Yeah, not bad for a start. Training would have been good, but now it's too late. I would just let them grow, don't take anything away. And make sure the buds get enough light. By the way, with auto plants, I use topping, lollipopping, and LST.
Grow_in_Franken
Grow_in_Franken commented2y ago
@MunichGrasfabrik, Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely use Topping and Lollipopping for the Bluematic (Auto, this is my second report). LST is a bit too stressful for me. I actually topped the Sour Diesel (Fem) just the other day, but I'm relaxed about it since it should still grow for a few more months. When do you apply Lollipopping on the autos?
MunichGrasfabrik
MunichGrasfabrik commented2y ago
@Mobby93, LST too stressful? For you or for the plant? It's actually not particularly stressful for either of you. I'm not an expert either, but I top as soon as the 3rd node is ready for a clean cut (usually in week 3) and I do lollipopping gradually: First the big leaves that cover a lot (not too many). From the flowering stage and especially from the 3rd week of flowering, I remove the lollipops. Come check it out.
