Germination after 3 days of planting. The seed was planted at the 2nd of April. In the beginning the plants were growing super long because of a lack of sunlight. This problem was fixed with a cheap artificial growlight.

The artificial light helped with the plant to grow better. All the plants r looking super healthy. Also had to be repotted because the pot is getting way too small.

24th of Mai: In week 8 its the big day for them to go into the soil. At the end of Mai there is usually no chances of frost anymore. I gave one to my neighbour who was super happy and the other one I planted directly into the soil. I added micro rhizae on the root stock to optimise the nutrient uptake later in the grow, to make the plant stronger and healthier. Also I added a lot of compost, cause thy will be hungry. Had a big problem with slugs and the only thing that helped sadly was slug killing pellets. :/ Not really happy to use that. Now we just have to wait for mr bruce banner to do his thing. I choose this variety cause i was looking for a strong, big and mold resistant variety. Bruce banner was the most convenient for me.

2nd of June: I was worried about the slugs but the pellets did there job quite good and literally destroyed them. That didnt look too nice tbh. The bruce banner is growing good and healthy. Getting bigger with every day.

11th of June: The plant is growing bigger and bigger. I read online to chop of the main shoot at some point so there are more sideshoots developing which means in the end more buds. Otherwise the main bud would have grown too big with a high risk of getting moldy. Lets see...

23rd of Juli: Finally took out weeds around the plant and chop chop chop unnecessary branches and leaves. For airflow and optimised energy channeling. I watched some youtube videos before i did it, to get an idea, but i think i got carried away a little bit too much. Looks now more like a butchered chicken. 😑

5th of August. It’s starting to stretch like crazy. And looking very good. I really hope it’s gonna start flowering soon. This variety is flowering for 9-10 weeks. I don’t wanna harvest later than mid October, cause the weather at that time will be getting foggy and rainy. Let’s see maybe we r lucky with the weather. 😊

14th of August. The Bruce is stretching even higher and wider. He became a real bush now, it’s crazy. I hoped he would grow this big. But didn’t think it would happen. I m super happy so far. And I could finally see some preflowers🎊. I Hope the flowers will start to take off now 😊💪. I will give you updates every week.

21st of August. The Bruce is getting even bigger. Only the flowers r growing slow. It’s interesting, cause I planted the same variety into a pot with same conditions and there the flowers r already 1-2weeks ahead of the big bush which I m updating in this diary. I don’t know maybe the one in the pot has a bit more drystress sometimes. Who knows. And because of this it developed flowers faster.

1st of September. This week I thinned out the whole plant again and took out some small side branches that didn’t get enough sun. I tried maximise the airflow inside the plant. I m super impressed how thick the stem already is. The flowers r growing too, but still a bit slow. I m excited for the next weeks. Also I fertilised with an organic bloom fertilizer. This fertilizer is beside from the seeds the only thing I bought from a growshop. I think regarding the growing there is so so much equipment that is not needed when you are growing on a hobby level.

12th of September. Not much to say for this week. the flowers keep growing. The weather is getting colder with 7 degrees in the night. My cute little neighbours cat jumped into the plant and broke 2 branches. So I stabilised them. And pretty optimistic they will do fine in 2-3 days again.

21st of September. General update: Week 26 of growing this beauty. I m actually really happy how big and healthy it has grown so far. Crazy! I measured 1,70m in height which is 30cm higher than the average height for this strain, which is.. awesome! And 1,90m in diameter. Even better. I m really happy. Week update: The weather got much warmer this week again… very very good! The plant is now in its 5th or 6th flowering week. It’s hard to tell. So at least 3 more weeks to go. Keep your fingers crossed, that the weather stays as warm and dry as it is. The two broken branches r doing perfect again. I fertilized another round with a specific bud fertilizer. And thinned out the plant again. I have the feeling the flowers r growing very slow, but maybe that’s normal. Does one of you know? The next weeks will be probably better💪

26th of September. Week update: This week the weather got quite nasty. It got colder, rainy and very windy. I had to cut out 3 buds because I detected some signs of budrott. The good thing about the wind though is, that it dries the plant very fast. 💪. I also fertilized again with the budfertilizer… I hope that helps the plant to stay strong in the next weeks. General thoughts The variety I chose is supposed to be moldresistant, but the weather conditions r honestly very bad. I wanna build a DIY transparent roof to protect it at least against the rain. But I don’t know if it is worth it. Or I m thinking should I chop it down early to have at least some harvest. Or I just see this plant as an experiment and see what happens if I leave it for the next 3 weeks… Idk. What do you guys think?

Should I chop this beauty down early to have at least some harvest(I mean the buds r super small)? Or risk it and see what happens in the next weeks and maybe build a transparent roof to protect it?

Would recommend to wait until you are able to cut the whole plant 💚

That looks way too early to get anything decent IMO. She still has a while to go, needs to bulk up a lot and ripen. You know what a fruit is like if you pick it 3 or 4 weeks before it's done. Your trichomes are the same. A small unripe green orange is not close to as good as a juicy orange ripe one. I would personally rather have a small bag of ripe oranges than a huge bag of unripe oranges. Getting her a cover to stay dry won't be a bad idea.

1st of October: As you guys recommended, I build a Little roof for that pretty thing, so it stays dry and can keep growing thick in the next weeks🤞🎉. I have the feeling the flowers r growing super slow in the last 3 weeks, is that normal? Maybe I stressed it out too much with some defoliation?! I also accidentally broke one branch of while building the roof😭🙈 suuuper annoying! Besides from that it looks super healthy and it finally gets some purple leaves 💪🎊. Love it Ps:sorry for the bad quality pics. My phonecamera is quite broken…need a new phone

7th of October. Week 8 of Flowering. Looking much better then last week. The weather got warmer, with more hours of sun. The buds r growing and the Trichomes r getting milky. smelling good.. I had some issues with white little flies. And I smoked them out hahah🎊. Literally. And it was working. I put a little fire right next to the plant to „simulate“ a wildfire. Not too close of course. And let the smoke run through the plant. Kept the fire going for 3 Hours. And now ZERO flies. I shake the plant. Not a single insect 😂. Super awesome. I believe, because of their survival instinct they fly away. End of next week I wanna harvest 💪… Super excited!

15th of October Sry for the delayed update, but was quite busy with my work lately. Anyway, on the 15th of October, it was the big day of harvesting this beauty. 6 1/2 months ago in April it germinated. And now after 9 weeks of flower finally it’s harvest time. The past 2 weeks the weather was nasty af. But this steadfast soldier was bravly withstanding this ass sucking conditions. Only few buds I had cut out because of mold. The rest has beautiful shiny milky trichomes that makes me happy😊. I think they would have needed 2 more weeks to really thicken up, but the weather is gonna be worst in the next weeks :(. So better chopped now. In the last weeks I was super worried to loose my whole harvest to the every day high humidity. I even wanted to chop it earlier. But got good recommendation from the community to be still patiened. That hint was very rewarding, Thanks guys. I will also make another week for the harvest, don’t worry 😊

On the 16th of October The pretty thing got harvested. After drying and trimming we have a dry weight of 266 gram, which is I think very good, for my first grow. They also look super pretty 👌. Overall I m satisfied with the strain. It was standing strong in 4 weeks of humidity and rain. In the end the strain was quite resistant to the mold. But I think the roof construction also helped. I think I will grow this strain again, but then in a pot. Cause I had another plant in a pot and that started to flower 2-3 weeks earlier than this one. Maybe because of dry stress, idk. This 2-3 weeks earlier had such an advantage because of better weather. I will try it out, and let you know 😊. Peace out guys! Take care!
