ThatGrowGuy Germinated in Root-it! Sponges in a propagator with ph'ed tap water. The propagator was in a small tent with CFL lights for warmth. 4 to 5 days to see roots then potted in 12 litre root pouches with Plant Magic plus soil supreme. I got impatient while the seeds were germinating and ripped open a cube, and because of this the seedling didn't figure out which way was down! I had to transplant it to a new cube and hope for the best. It delayed its growth but surprisingly I saw the first root coming out of the side of the cube a day after all the others! Say hello miracle girl! P.S: They will be under a 600W HPS lamp for the duration of the grow.

ThatGrowGuy Not much to talk about, I found wet dry cycle quite quickly once root's had fleshed out a bit. I am only uploading pictures of quickest one as she is beautiful! The miracle girl is growing strong but the sideways roots have caused her to train herself with a funny bent stalk! Onwards and upwards from here, starting nute feeds next week!

ThatGrowGuy Started nute feed at end of week 2 after potting, Will leave a bit longer next time soil must have still had enough as she shows nitrogen burn on new growth. Still looking good hopefully hasn't affected growth too much. I suspect this happened due to using formulex in place of cal mag as I couldn't get any over Christmas. Followed shogun's feed chart and halfed all quantities will maybe start at a quarter next time to factor in any left over nutes in soil? I dunno any feedback would be gratefully received!

ThatGrowGuy Good week, crazy growth! Fed more veg nutrients after 3 feeds at pH 6.5. The nutrient feed pH was 6.2. More signs of nitrogen burn but not as bad as last time and could be attributed to temp change as have dropped temp a few degrees day and night to try and get that purple goodness! Hit pre flower end of week 3 and now at end of week 4 we are full flower! Beautiful weak aromas coming off the girls now and some lovely growth from pistols to buds. I did start defoliation which I understand is not done so much on autos but due to the structure of my girls the fan leaves were crushing new growth and no amount of tucking was stopping the damage. I don't feel confident lst'ing yet so I removed some fan leaves off main stem only. Defoliated 1 more than others and this showed increased growth to pistils. Followed suit with other plants at end of week 4 to avoid over stress. All in all extremely pleased with progress and looking forward to the next ~4 ish weeks of flower.

ThatGrowGuy Not much to say, filling out in all the right places! Switched to bloom nutes see how she reacts this week! The 2 that are a little further ahead in development show purpling. Getting harder and harder to take good pictures but I hope you like what you see, I know I do!

ThatGrowGuy Good bud production this week, small amount of defoliation to allow light through and removed older fan leaves that were showing some signs of stress. In hindsight I believe this was the start of a number of issues that should have been addressed.
@ThatGrowGuy, sumo boost foliar is at 2ml/Litre. No changes needed based on water type and similar to katana, reducing doses wont change anything except the effectiveness!
That soil mix has a quite high nutrient content so you wouldn't need to add our grow nutrient so soon next time round (if you stick with the same soil). I wouldn't recommend halving the dose on katana though you need the correct dosage to stimulate the root development effect that this product has. If your plants are still suffering, a foliar application of sumo boost can work wonders and realy bring the plant back around.
Lovely structure on those plants though! Thanks for choosing SHOGUN!

Thank you very much for your reply, kind words and information it is gratefully received and duly noted! I assumed as much but the info regarding using the precise quantities is good to know and something I will take on board for the future. With the foliar application of sumo boost would you recommend a mixture following your feed chart for my water? I'm thinking I will try this on the plants that were affected more by the nutrients, its strange some reacted more than others, I guess that just how plant genetics work! Thanks again in advance.
Looking real healthy man ! Nice happy seedling here , keep up the great work ! Best of luck on this grow and the many in you're future !
-Happy Growing!
