This is my first grow ever with just doing a lot of research (about a couple months) and studying techniques/ methods (also having the money). I started germination for two seeds feminized photos on 07Jun24 via rapid rooter and placed into seedling dome in grow tent. 10Jun24 seeds sprouted. They started stretching so I put them into 1 gallon fabric pots on 13Jun24. Medium was 1/2 parts Happy frog and 1/2 Parts Fox Farm. Did a slurry test and soil came out to pH of 6.38 and ppm of 1300 which was a bit high in my opinion. Kept light ppfd at 150-180, then around 15Jun24 I bumped up the light to around 218-230 ppfd. Watered the plants with a spray bottle and pH was 6.2 and 150 ppm. Unfortunately, and to my own mistake, I had bumped one seedling during feeding and the base stem broke (not completely off) so I reinforced with toothpicks and the plant recovered. Around 17Jun24 I bumped up light to 250 ppfd and then today 23Jun24 bumped up to 300 ppfd. Plants look good and plan to feed water just for now and most likely introduce nutes week 5 or 6 if showing anything.
Week 4, plants are going strong, feeding just pH'd water for now until signs of deficiency. May start to introduce nutes slowly at week 5. Seedling that had broken off early in week 3 made a big recovery. Plant to top around 5th node on each plant.
Went on vaca for the fourth of July so I had to give them a good feed before. Came back today and so pretty good growth, gave them some water and also bumped up the lighting a bit. Probably will start to LST with garden rings to start spreading out the canopy.
Moved them to 5-gallon bags around 09Jul24 to 12Jul24. Fed only pH'd water so far but starting to see that there is some type of deficiency or efficiency going on, so I plan to test the soil pH next feed. Plantrs are growing bushy rather than taller, may introduce a trellis net. Also had to the move the ligh quite a bit to find the sweet spot for ppfd and also not burn the leaves. Also had a minor bug issue but took care of it.
Plants are starting to fill out the tent. Just feeding pH'd H2O (with cal-mag when they look like they need it) but so far, the HP and Ocean Forest 50/50 mix is pretty good and haven't fed any other nutes just yet. Started to do some light scrOG and raising the trellis the taller the plants get. Planning to flip these girls when they grow out a bit more and also get taller.
