Purple flowers pulling about 10 days ahead of cream coloured but larger plant. Meanwhile the leathery leaves plant has grown to 22in and has required no defoliation due to shrivelled leaves.
all caught up we are now live. the purple pheno is about 10 days in front of the slower creamy one, and the bad bean has still produced some tight resiny flowers but not very large. Pretty good considering the poor quality of the leaves.
Dark Purple looks to be ready, the tall purple is close to ready but may have to come down to make room for my next run of 4 Jedi Kush. The creamy coloured pheno looks to have two weeks to go to reach her peak which is looking spectacular. The biggest surprise for me was the astounding production of the tall one that has sparse mutated leaves the entire grow. The two short phenos both had extensive defoliation all the way through the grow, but the tall one had none at all, and no manipulation.
Still looking stunning, only calyxes are purple but they are covered in trichomes so appear pink, all sugar leaves are green. so the only purple visible is covered with trichomes. Crazy. Gonna see if I can make it to 12 weeks, I'm blowing dry 45RH% air, and it's pretty chilly. I took one branch off very sticky with trichomes and looks good, no bud rot although I'm keeping a close eye on her.
the other two purple ones produced 3 and a quarter oz each, very sticky chock full of resin, this pink one looks even more dripping with the good stuff.
The Pink Lady is down. The two purple ones were 3.25oz each. This one will be 4.25 at least, which really is kinda my absolute minimum. However after a week of drying and week of curing those two I can report are both very resiny and also very strong, did they live up to their 30%? I do not know, but if any are going to near that this pink pheno would be the one. It is more heavily encrusted if that were possible with a different terpene profile.
I cut a small branch off last week to check for bud rot as I hav been concerned about this, however it's been dry and I have had a 45RH% dehumidifier blowing on it. Also the bud structure of the two purple phenos were quite loose which makes for good vaping. They both had a rather uninteresting fruity taste with no complexity. That does not matter a great deal to me when they are encrusted and strong. I tried a bit of that bud today after a week of drying and it has some diesel mixed in with the berries, let's hope it's still there after drying.
The colours are so unusual, with pale golden pistils all sugar leaves green with no purple bleed, and all the purple confined only to the calyxes that are then covered in trichomes. The pale shade of green and the pink makes it look like a sort of muddy pink from a distance.
I thought I saw what may be a bit of bud rot after chopping down today but it was in fact just an overabundance of trichomes coupled with some very unusual pink-yellow-green colours that appear to the naked eye to have a slimy look.
Three different phenos, the two dark purple were all fruit, and the pink one which went for another two weeks is mainly diesel with fruit underneath. Not large harvest, but pretty to grow. 3.25oz each off the two purple and 5.25oz off the pink one which was a larger plant but still a bit more than I thought. Not as good a plant as Terp Treez: Blue Nerdz Auto, which is both bigger yielding and prettier, might pop one next grow.
There appears to be a lot of phenotypes, I need something with a larger yield. Still can't really complain even the bad yellow mutant with the curly leaves produced good bud.
@Fast_Buds, glad you enjoyed it. the curly leafed mutant producing good bud with bad leaves has altered my perception of autos and how many leaves they really need!
@Homework, The stems were too thick and short to tuck, I just wanted to get some light into the under branches, for a couple of days so they could push through, then I let them down again. Usually I'll just try and tuck till all the branches catch up.
Interesting grow my friend. Some things I never saw before like the pyramids and the rubber band thing after topping the Ladies. Don't you give nutes at all?
@Smoking_Joe_Frasier, I just saw the rubber band thing myself before I did that. Just a few days was enough. I prepare a standard 9 litre bucket with a 3 part hydro nute, micro grow and bloom, and pour it on. Sometimes I will just use plain water because the plugs hold a lot of nutrients.
