timfm I got Blue Cheese Auto seeds from Royal Queen Seeds as a birthday gift. And even though I've never grown before, I guess you have to face the responsibility in such a case… 😉 So I roughly googled how to at least avoid the biggest disasters and then started to germinate one of the little seeds in a damp kitchen towel. So far so good, two days later the sprout was so clearly visible that I could plant it in the soil and hang the pot over our balcony railing towards the east. With very changeable weather from thunderstorms with heavy rain to sunny 32 degrees, the little lady has been bravely holding her ground since then. Every now and then I give her a sip of water, but apart from that, I'm letting nature take its course for now. So far, she seems to be doing well with it…

timfm Week two is over, and I'm starting to think my girl has Viking genetics or something. They say the German summer is the best week of the year, and this week definitely seems to be over. My new roommate had to endure buckets of rain, cold, and dreary gray over the past few days. The soil is so soaked with water that I should probably grow rice in it instead. And yet, my lifelong girlfriend is bravely reaching for even the smallest rays of sunshine when you can catch a glimpse of them. I hope she stays this brave, because the weather forecast doesn't look good 😄 Keep your fingers crossed for me (and her)!

timfm The weather is still very mixed, ranging from cloudless, sunny-warm days to thunderstorm-heavy rain. Nevertheless, growth seems to be picking up significantly now. In just one week, the plant has made extreme progress (see photos). Almost daily, new pairs of leaves appeared somewhere, and the initially delicate stem is slowly getting stronger. Tendentially, the soil is rather overwatered due to the many rainy days, I would say. Scheduled fertilization is also difficult because the exact dosage is obviously completely pointless when it rains liters afterward. But as I said: I am very satisfied with the development and think I will start with some initial measures for Low Stress Training in the coming week.

timfm This week has seen quite a bit of action – I started some Low Stress Training to expose the shoots to light as evenly as possible. I trimmed four larger leaves from the lower part because I thought this would help supply the upper parts of the plant better. When the plant suddenly looked pretty bare, I got a bit scared. But then, while bending for LST, I accidentally cracked the main cola, and I almost completely freaked out. I "splinted" the break with these LST plastic clips and otherwise just kept my fingers crossed that all my mistakes would be forgiven... Well, two days later, she rewarded me with the first flower hairs, which already smell soooo delicate. Also, she's getting bushier and fuller every day, and I hereby promise on my honor that I will keep my hands off her now, so I don't push my luck any further. Well, maybe. 😅

timfm I'm saving all further comments about the weather for now. But the buds have clearly made progress this week and are now really nice and visible. The smell is also slowly increasing. Right now, you still have to get close to smell it, but that should get stronger soon if what I've read about the strain is true :) Aside from a bit of LST on the lower branches, I've left the plant alone. Last week it had to deal with enough drama...

timfm My roommate's flowering phase is really picking up now. The buds are getting denser, firmer, and bushier. She has stopped growing. I'm giving her some bloom booster with the water, and she seems to like it quite a bit. :)

timfm Hach, check her out, guys! It's really fun – the lady has completely overcome all the challenges from the past weeks and is delighting the heart with fatter and fatter buds. Even the leaves near the buds can no longer escape being dusted with the first trichomes. The smell is getting stronger, and when you lightly brush your hand over the plant, you're already completely enveloped in a cloud of fragrant anticipation. I really hope I make it through the last weeks unscathed and carry this beautiful thing across the finish line!

timfm This week there wasn't much new, the buds are hardly growing noticeably anymore. However, the smell is increasing. I keep glancing at the state of the trichomes, but all in all, it looks to me like it will take a bit longer before I can confidently take the scissors to them.

timfm I'm slowly getting to the finish line, I think :) The smell is now very pronounced, the trichomes are slowly turning mostly milky, and the first ones are also starting to turn golden. I think the lady will be ready soon...

timfm Since the trichomes on the upper buds had already turned milky to brown, while the lower buds still mostly showed clear trichomes, I decided to harvest in two parts: - I cut the upper buds first and ended up with a wet weight of 38g. - The second portion was due a week later and weighed in at 46g. All in all, this was really a great grow, and the plant was a true marvel of resistance against days of continuous rain and then unbearable heat. I also had absolutely no issues with pests. For beginners like me, this strain is a really good entry point, and I'm also absolutely satisfied with the harvest. I'll update with the dry weight and a few words about the smoking experience once the buds are fully dried and cured. :)
