and this is just why I won't be growing anymore of BF genetics, for a company who's slogan is "breeder of champions" that slogan has been quite misleading over the years, now I've grew lemon amnesia, LSD,the violator kush, laughing Buddha, triple cheese, peyote cookies, tangerine dream auto, blue mammoth and a good few others in my years of growing and many have passed the mark on great quality but its ever since late 2016 I've been getting a lot of quality errors, now I'm not really saying some isn't my fault but I normally never grow just the one strain I have 2 of each or 1 of each in a tent. now when you have 75% of your tent full of pungent smells and nice looking buds while one plant looks weaker than an old grandma, you really begin to question if they quality is up to par. my main example I can show right now is my sorbet dreams and bubba island kush, those 2 plants are untouchable when it comes to quality of smell and THC, its those two plants and the blue og now the most. I need to rub the stem to smell the strawberry lemonade. now on to my main issue with this strain, above 50% of my plant had to be plucked and chucked in the bin because we are now on week 3 and most of the plant had not shown pistils or flowered all together, while you have my bushy sorbet dreams that has every single bud site with pistils so it really begs the question in it all, is it a breeders plants am I growing or just another seed maker caring about money because that's how its felt the over the past 2 years and the strawberry lemonade has killed the switch on me with Barney farm( let's not mention finding out off someone on a post the blue gelato has no sunset sherbet to be called a gelato), there's no excuse for a plant that was defoilated, one quarter turned every 3 hours, not to flower properly, especially under HPS lights. people might get better results but I'm not bulls/ting my experience so people can make their own choices

Image 2 from flowering week 2 - looks like you've butchered it a bit mate. 😳 There is no reason to take any leafs off once into flower, let alone that many, the poor thing. 😅😰 For future ref only remove leafs during veg, once you begin to flower them its best to leave them be as it can upset the plant and do more damage then good. Don't get me wrong removing a few super large fan leafs isn't the end of the world but you've over done it on this occasion... Just my opinion, hopefully you don't take it the wrong way.

@TheHonestGrower just scrap this diary and follow this one, growdiaries.com/diaries/24312-barney-s-farm-strawberry-lemonade. this guy's at 2wks veg and already the same as yours were at 4wks. also it will give you a true representation of the plant and let you know how good your plant could be.

Hows the smoke and effects?
TheHonestGrower
TheHonestGrowercommented6 years ago
Smoke report / Time 21:17 / 4th AprilStrain - strawberry lemonadeLineage - unknown strawberry X lemon OGGenotype - sativa DomSmell uncracked open - strawberry, light citrus smell, lemon water smellSmell cracked open - hashy, strawberry, more noticeable lemonBud structure - overall nice, decent amount of trichs, 90% bud to 10% leaf ratioPapers used for joint - Element rolling papers (standard packet, not the new hemp slow burn)Filter - Element perforated tripsLighter - Zippo Joint weight - approximately 1.7-1.8gAny extras in the joint or bong (extracts, mixture's etc) - there is 0.2 or 0.3 of strawberry lemonade scissor hash, 0.2 of strawberry lemonade keif and 0.3 of strawberry lemonade trim dry sift hash.So there's a lot in this joint.First hit, hashy.... Extremely hashyAs I keep smoking, somewhat less hash taste, more sweet flavour....Report back in a while.....It's now 21:25 , it's quite a light high, halfway through the joint as I am a light smoker considering I've been on a 6 month tolerance breakNext day : ended up walking up over 12 hours later, all I remember is the joint towards the end was far to resinous to smoke at some point, the high got intense after smoking another joint if a different strain then fell asleep

do I just message them ?, if not I might need to get in contact with my Barney's agent and ask if he knows because I want to get a fairly large yield so I can show the plant off :)
WeedManufaktur

they look very fine at the Moment :-)

TheHonestGrowercommented6 years ago
you should see them today, she is at a pace of growing a new node/set of leafs everyday with the temps at 24.6°c and a humidity of 40-41% I know seedlings need higher humidity but one of the autoflowers in my tent are showing preflowers so I want to try help it along a bit further into flowering. at the moment. the strawberry lemonade has a mutation were the leafs have a small cone to the bottom of the leafs but I'll show that in the update soon as it looks like the claw leaf, but there's no real damage if you understand where I'm coming from ? :)

yeah i was kinda lucky to it 12-14 days before actual retail launch I was kinda hyped when I got them in the mail, it seems to be loving the HPS that much it's first set of Tri leafs have grew in. it would've been a lot further on if my new bulb was cracked in the mail but it doesn't matter now, she's in the tent, loving the light and is now on her way. thank you very much for stopping by and checking the diary out it's greatly appreciated, have a good Christmas.
