Hi all,
I got accepted in the RQS contest, obviously :P
They say I have to use the products they sent me. So I tried the Easy starter. But I don't like to put all my eggs in the same basket, so I only placed 1 seed in the starter, the other two in paper towel(my favorite germination method). After 4 days of waiting the seeds in the paper towel were ready, but nothing was coming out of the Easy starter, so I decided to transplant the embryos into paper towel :D How surreal, right!? It did work though.
All 3 seeds made it and got planted in a mix of 50/50 coco/all-mix biobizz soil(my favorite mix for seedlings - they LOOOVE it!)
It's been a great week for the girls! They showed very rapid growth, so at the end of the week I transplanted them in 6l pots with amended soil/coco mix.
It’s been a great week with much growth.
I decided to put the 2 big ladies in the self water system, since my autos love it so much, and I love it as well, cuz it’s so low maintenance.
They got a good LST as well after the transplant.
It’s been a good “transition” week before blooming, with LST and BioBizz nutrients.
Depending on the growth rate, I think max one more week and they go into bloom, it’s getting crowded in here.
It’s been two weeks now since they moved into the final pots.
Three days before the end of this week I flipped them to 12/12, they were running out of space.
I decided to experiment with 3 different feeding plans.
1st girl from left to right got 100% biobizz nuts, 1ml/l grow, 4ml/l bloom and 0,5 ml/l Calmag in RO water. She will get this till the end.
The 2nd(middle girl) got 1,5 g/l BioGrow powder feed from Green house feeding + 3ml/l BioBloom-biobizz in RO water.
The last one got 2 g/l(soil) BioBloom powder feeding from Greenhouse feeding and watered with RO water.
They all got 20l of water in total in the tank, that is 20l for 3 girls. I expect this to last for ca. 10 days.
The girls that got powder feeding developed this white fuzzy stuff on the surface of the soil. It should be mycelium, not fungus 🤞
I'm going on vacation this week, so I had to take the pictures only 4 days after the last update. Fortunately this is exactly 7 days after switching to flower mode.
The girls love the extra light(240w) and they started stretching after the flip.
The leaves have the "hydroponic" feel, they are soft and moist.
After 7 days without touching the ladies I top fed them with 2l RO water + 1g/l BioEnhancer powder(Humic acid and seaweed extract). I did it so that the nutrient powder I added last week gets completely mixed in the soil. I'm curious if the mycelium will still be visible on the soil after this.
It looks like they almost finished drinking all the 20l I gave them 7 days ago. So at the beginning of week 9 I will replenish it with 20l more.
I also did some HST on the lower bud sites, I even clipped off some of the lower branches that weren't getting much light.
Great blooming week! 👍
The girls have stretched and the buds are forming well.
Pictures are taken at bloom day 18.
They got 20l of water again this week. 2l in the pot each, the rest in the tank below.
I removed the small undergrowth, also the smallest branches that were not getting much light.
Damn, I mixed the pictures from here with the Gorilla to start off, sorry! All is good now.
There are clear signs that we are approaching the finish, 3-4 weeks more.
A great week here, the girls look amazing, I’m surprised how much they’ve been packing already.
The one in the middle is also developing these white “crowns”. This will be some strong smoke!
I’ve been top feeding every 3-4 days with RO water and 0.75ml/l CalMag and 4ml/l bio-bloom from biobizz these last few days.
I expect max. 3 weeks before harvest.
This week I realized there was mold on two of the buds from the same lady.
I never tried this before.
At first I thought it was some sort of a burn, since the humidifier is running nonstop on 50%.
So I clipped the mold away and harvested the rest.
I believe the problem is that some of the sugar leaves are drying out all the way inside the bud and that gets the mold in. The leaves on my previous Runtz auto from Sweet Seeds did the same. I don’t know the reason though.
The buds are super compact on these ladies, one more week and they should be finished.
Oh, I did a big defoliation(about time) and lowered the humidity to 45, so I hope the mold stays out now.
