Well I didn't think i'd share this one, but it's turning out to be a fun grow so here it is. Check out last years Hugelkutur grow, this year, same Hugelkultur, but added a ton of waste, leaf mulch, last years grow back in Oct 2023, top soil, let bake until May 2024, planted 1 Fast Buds Gorilla Cookies FF in the same Hugel.

Using budclips to branch out the mainline, may do a little LST with some wires if she needs it. Tucking leaves under, trying not to trim too much off.

Well, here it is, I didn't think I would start to share this grow, as the early spring was TERRIBLE, I ended up removing my attempt to transplant outdoors in April, brought back indoors and started a new seed to plant out in May, still VERY cold wet spring up until June. However we've had a wild heatwave in June / July, and August looks great, so i'm happy how this grow is doing! Will be doing weekly updates. This is my first attempt at Mainlining so go easy on me :). Heat wave calming down 29-32, plants loving it. Training is fun, looking great!. I'm only keeping every odd node on the mainline so they face the same way, and leave room for the canopy. She's still going horizontal (Nodes 1,3,5,7 and 9 now), but I may end it in the next week in and just let the canopy fill in. Drip irrigation twice a week, weekly spray of Neem, Kelp, Lactobacillus, Epsom. Doing a weekly/bi-weekly soil drench also of a quick Compost tea, Fish / Kelp / Lactobacillus.

Still HOT and warm all week. Heavy topdress of compost mixed with 50/50 Gaia Green AP/PB. Drip irrigation every 4 days. Neem, Kelp, Aloe, Epsum, Lactobacillus foliar spray weekly. Canopy is filling in nicely. Seems to be starting that pre flower stretch. Zero signs of pistils, so will be a while before she starts.

Cold wet rainy week, all good because the warm weather is back next week. Top dress of 50/50 Gaia Green AP/PB regular drip irrigation and that's it. Loving the shape, not much training left, letting it grow, that pre flower stretch is ongoing, pistils just showed up, so flowering should be in the next few weeks. Hoping for a fast finish like the strain says!

Marking first week of flower, wild stretch the last week, easily doubled in height. Hot, dry weather, 30+ C during the day, a little bit of morning dew / humidity. Will continue with Lactobacillus spray for powdery mildew prevention, will top dress 70/30 Gaia Green Power Bloom / All Purpose this week, I've been mixing my top dress with compost and the roots love it, they just tear right through it. May work on some support this week, for now a simple trellice net works fine.

Stretch slowing down, secured the existing net for some support and to help with LST. Stretch has slowed down for sure. budlets beginning to form. Did a heavy top dress of Gaia Green, 13 TBSP Power Bloom to 7 TBSP All Purpose, mixed with a few scoops of compost. When I pulled back the mulch to top dress I snapped a few pics and videos of the soil, wow, SO much life it's incredible, one giant heap of life. I find mixing top dress with compost lets gives the roots something to adhere to, and nothing like increasing that root zone! Kept up with some light defoliation and LST with some bud clips and netting, not much else to do but wait! All the excess trim from defoliation and nearly everything you see in the background will get mulched up and added in the fall for next years crop. Circle of life yo! Had some very very minor Powdery Mildew on some fan leaves after we have some 95% humidity roll through, I had company so skipped a spraying of Lactobacillus, and it showed. If you haven't tried it, it's EASY to make and it works wonders, plants love it as a foliar spray or a root soak, I use molasses to keep it stable, so it's double good for flowering time. This will HAVE to get harvested end of September regardless, that gives me 7 weeks from now, so here's hoping for that FastBuds "Fast Flower" action.

Cooled off, lots of rain, storms, looking great for the upcoming few weeks though! Reinforced trelice and added a quick roof I can pull over to keep dew and rain off once she starts getting thick. My gosh it's easier to do that when she's 3ft tall, last years was over 8ft and a PITA. Trichomes developing, did some heavy defoliating everything below 3rd or 4th node. Everyone hates Wasps, but man have they been busy eating caterpillar eggs off my plant! Still spray BT weekly, but wasp activity points me straight to the eggs which I remove by hand, then the wasps come back wondering where their food went. Had a solitary bee move in, seeing him go back and forth all day is awesome.

Weathers been great, a little cold in the mornings, but sunny and 25c every day. Flowering looking great, close to week 5. All the LST done, now to just sit back and wait. Heavy top dress of compost mixed with 70/30 Gaia Green PB/AP (20Tbsp). Weekly spray of BT/Lactobacillus/Epsom, occasionally soil drench of Lactobacillus as well, which is 50% molasses (1-2 Tbsp per gallon). Still seeing tons of moth / caterpillar eggs on mesh netting, but the wasps are making short work of them. Nice even (almost) canopy is making for some great uniform flowering. **Bonus last picture** I had an extra GC FF as a "backup", planted same time but early flowered due to root bound 7 gallon I assume, notice all the single bladed fan leaves, stress maybe? Just harvested, looks good, but I'm sure my main plant will be much better.. Early flowering was sure nice.

Another hot dry week, weather has been stellar. Done nothing but enjoy her this past week, other then 1Tbsp of Molases /w Lab Serum in a Gallon of water. The compost mixed with Gaia Green as top dress is full of millipedes breaking it all down, love seeing all that life, and she looks like the healthiest plant I've ever grown. Few blemishes on some leafs due to some leaf hoppers, but pests are at an all time low, wasps doing their job, PWM nowhere to be seen, can't complain one bit. Been pulling the tarp over nightly to keep the dew off, seems to be working.

Minor defoliating, gave the buds some breathing room. Cool, rainy, but tarps keeping her dry. Nothing but water this week, looking really healthy, haven't seen a single faded leaf. Weekly spray of Labs, Epsum, BT to keep PM and Caterpillars at bay. No sign of PM still, lots around the rest of the garden though. Love how frosty this GC is, trichomes are so long and dense. Least 3 weeks left, lots more thickening up to do.

Well, despite looking incredibly healthy and dry, did snip a few spots with Budrot. Going to try to keep up with h202 spray a few hours before my Lactobacillus and BT spray, kill those spores and load em up with beneficial bacteria. Buds are fattening up, trichomes thick, going to try and push for another 3 weeks, fingers crossed the rot stays to a minimum. Hard with 95% humidity over night! Did one last heavy feed of Gaia Green Power Bloom (20tbsp), and a light watering with Epsom Lab serum + Molases. Other then that she'll be water from now till the end.

Good dense buds, thick with resin, easy to grow. Dried and cured nice, amazing smell, smooth smoke, fast energy rush high that flows into a chilled out euphoria. Sadly lost a ton to Budrot, even tarped from the rain. Did not handle 9c and 99% Humidity for the last few weeks, more mother nature's fault, bad year in general, but still managed to save a good QP.

Well, absolute shit finishing weather. 9c and 99% Humidity for days on end. Started finding some rot, so I harvested some tops and let the rest ride out while I was on holidays for 1 week. Came back to a horror show of rot, lost at least 2/3 of it to the compost. Ohh well, can only fight mother nature so much. The QP of colas I was able to harvest after a thorough budwash, dried, cured and came out nice. Smells amazing, smooth, no complaints. Will for sure be doing the same manifold next year, thinking Blueberry Pie F1 Fast. Will restock my Hugelkultur with leaf mulch, compost and maybe some sheep poop, mulch, maybe clover cover crop for winter if I get to it early enough. Then let it bake till April, Rinse and repeat! Happy growing.

Congrats, but bud rot definitely sucks. Best of luck for next year.

@Arcadium, the BB Pie F1 is great, but you’ll have to be careful about bud rot. I harvested just in time to avoid a bad outbreak - there were about 10 spots in various flowers. The big fat buds are nice, but it might be a problem. I’ve decided an early finish is the key, so a combination of fast flowering genetics, force flowering in July and the 730 nm far red light at dusk so the buds grow under strong light and finish before the bad weather. I’d love to try the Hugelkultur but I don’t have room for that in my yard. I’m looking forward to the new season. Cheers and happy growing.

@Northern_Ent, You too man, your last years grow was the reason I went with GC FF! Had a cold wet slow spring, so not as big as last year, but the manifold was great, never going back, not needing a 7ft ladder this time a year is nice.
