Erster Grow: Sensi Amnesia Auto

omit Watering was done by feel; I could see well through the transparent cups if the soil was still moist. The seedlings were a bit leggy - the weather wasn't the best. Around day 10, they were in the sun but were gradually acclimated (about 2 hours of direct sunlight, otherwise shade). I got the seedlings spontaneously and quickly found out that you plant autos directly into the final pots - so I repotted them and buried the seedlings almost up to the cotyledons. The plants were repotted on day 13 into a 14-liter pot; I think there should be about 10 liters of soil and about 2.5 liters of clay pebbles as a drainage layer. The soil is Terracult Royal Mix; it contains perlite, is pre-fertilized for 6 weeks, and has a pH of 5.6. I read somewhere that this is actually supposed to be the Floragard Professional Growmix, but I have no idea. Update from the future: Next time, I will use a different soil; I think this one has too low of a pH. Probably going for a Biobizz Allmix?

omit The plants have survived the repotting well, they stand on the balcony with plenty of light from around 10 AM, and I bring them inside at night. I really enjoyed watching them grow. Plant 1 is already developing better here than Plant 2. Watering was also done by feel here, unfortunately, I don't remember the exact amounts anymore.

omit Plants grow relatively compact, stand outside in the garden in the sun all day (when there is some) - at night I bring them inside (I'm worried about snails). No complications except for the first little spots on the first leaves of plant 1 (I haven't figured out what that is) and a first leaf miner on plant 1 at the end of the week.

omit Plant 2 also has the first leaf miners, while Plant 1 is relatively heavily infested. I've started a neem oil treatment here. Since the end of the week, the plants have also been outside at night.

omit The weather was good, the plants have grown very well. Both have entered the pre-flowering stage, and Plant 1 even had the first flowers by the end of the week!

omit It was the first week I added nutrients: Biobizz Grow and Bloom. We had a very bad week in terms of weather - constant rain. Accordingly, I hardly watered the plants this week or only at the beginning, and I only gave nutrients once at the beginning of the week because of the rain. How could this situation have been handled properly? Bringing the plants into the winter garden and protecting them from the rain to fertilize? That would have probably been the right thing to do - because the plants showed early signs of deficiency already at the beginning of the week (due to entering the flowering stage?). The soil was actually fertilized for 6 weeks... but it only lasted for 4 weeks. At some point, due to illness, I didn't take care of the plants. Unfortunately, I was very little available for the plants this week and therefore only have pictures from the first two days of this week...

omit From the middle of this week, I started taking care of the plants again. After the continuous rain, I let the plants dry out first - I think that was one day too long, at least for plant 2 (I believe the drooping leaves are due to underwatering on day 52). The leaves are turning yellow. At that point, I think it's a nitrogen deficiency. It turns out that I misunderstood the feeding schedule from Biobizz (or maybe just listened to a YouTube video) and only fertilized once a week with 50%. I'm now trying to save the yellow leaves with a mineral 6-6-6 fertilizer - later, I come up with the idea that this might be a nutrient lockout. Day 52 - 3.6L + 2ml BB Grow + 8ml BB Bloom + 4ml 6-6-6 Day 55 - 3.6L + 2ml BB Grow + 8ml BB Bloom

omit I had the feeling that the deficiencies from the previous week hadn't improved even though I had additionally fertilized with a mineral universal fertilizer. I got myself a new mineral liquid fertilizer 10-8-6 (the picture of the fertilizer is included in the photos) to finally win the battle against nitrogen deficiency. After applying it, there was no improvement in the following days; instead, I noticed more and more deficiencies, like the suspected manganese deficiency (day 60). Previously, I had ordered a pH and EC meter, and at the end of day 60, I tested both. The pH meter was very poor; I suspect there’s a deviation of about 1 pH, but it was still able to provide me with valuable information. The drain had a pH that was too low, and the EC of the drain was about 300-400 higher than the watering water I had used before. I decided to flush the soil the next morning, and I found a pH of about 5.25 in the drain (if you can trust the meter at all) and was able to raise the value to about 6.5 by flushing with tap water. In the evening, I watered both plants again with 0.9L of tap water each and fertilized with 50% of the mineral fertilizer as well as 50% of the organic fertilizer (but I misunderstood the fertilization schedule here too and added too much Top Max and Bloom) and then raised the pH of the mixture. The drain was at about pH 6.1 after watering. Day 58 - 3.6L + 8ml 10-8-6 + 1.5 ml BB Grow + 7ml BB Bloom Day 60 - 5L + 12ml 10-8-6 + 1ml BB Grow + 4ml BB Bloom Day 61 - each 35L Flush + 1.8L + 3.6ml 10-8-6 + 0.45 BB Grow + 1.8ml BB Bloom + 0.45ml BB Fishmix + 1.8ml BB Top Max + 2.2ml Bio Up

omit After the flush and the subsequent watering, I didn't need to water for 72 hours. Then I supplemented with a reduced amount of mineral fertilizer and 25% of the recommended amount of organic fertilizer. However, I also made a mistake reading the feeding schedule here - too much Top Max and too much Bloom were given. I will probably water again on day 67, and I'm considering only using organic fertilizer and giving only 1/3 of the amount of fertilizer (0.33ml/L Grow + 1ml/L Bloom + 0.33ml/L Fish Mix + 0.33ml/L Top Max + X.XXml/L Bio Up). Or should I add mineral nutrients again? --- On day 66, I cut off a few yellow/brown leaves from plant 1, hoping that more light will reach the smaller buds below. --- Day 67: I took pictures of the upper bud and one lower bud of plant 1. The trichomes on the upper bud look milky, but in my opinion, there are also a few clear ones and some amber ones... the lower buds have about the same number of milky, a few clear, and a few amber trichomes. I think it's ready for harvest? According to Seedfinder, the plant needs 77 days from seedling to harvest - but according to SensiSeeds, it's 10-12 weeks of flowering???? Should I have stopped fertilizing longer ago at this point, or do you only stop now? I don't know if I should fertilize tonight... Additionally, I took a picture of the upper bud of plant 2. Looking at the picture of the upper bud of plant 2, you can see the difference. Most trichomes are clear, and there are no amber trichomes visible. When compared to the photo of the upper bud of plant 1 from week 7, it looks like plant 2 is 15 days behind plant 1. In the evening, I watered the plants using my not-so-good pH meter. After the nutrient mix was ready, it was around 7.2 pH, and I hope it raises the low pH of the soil (5.6). After watering, I found a drain pH of 5.95 - definitely an improvement, and I will try to water with 7.4 next time. Oh, I basically doubled the previously planned amount of fertilizer (a total of 66% of BB's recommendation) and only added the organic fertilizer - thanks @modmyplants for your insights! Day 64 - 5.4L + 7ml 10-8-6 + 1.35 Grow + 5.1 Bloom + 1.35 Fish Mix + 5.1ml Top Max + 5.4 Bio Up Day 67 - 5.5L + 3.6ml Grow + 11ml Bloom + 3.6ml Fish Mix + 3.6ml Top Max + 6ml Bio Up

omit Unfortunately, both plants were affected just before the harvest. Plant 1 certainly wouldn't have needed much longer. On day 71, I discovered a black leaf in the bud that I could easily remove. I then examined the plant and found a strange spot, but I thought it might just be brown pistils - I was wrong. The next day brought a nasty surprise: Plant 1 was visibly covered in gray mold, so I immediately cut off all the affected areas and started harvesting the plants. I kept about 10% from Plant 1, discarding the rest due to the mold. Plant 2 was also affected, but I was able to keep 90% of it. The harvested goods were washed, using four buckets. The first bucket had clear water, the second had water and H2O2, the third had water, lemon juice, and baking soda, and the fourth had clear water again. After washing, the goods were hung in a dark but ventilated room (with a cracked window), and for the first two days, a fan was turned on to ensure better airflow. The temperatures ranged between 20-28 °C, and the humidity was around 55% after the first two days. After about 7 days, the goods were ready for the fermentation jars.
