A smooth start - it seems everything in the make-shift nursery is thriving and does really, really well - the problems begin when I take them out :)
Last autos this year - wasn't even planning on growing them but temptation got the better of me and I'm a sucker for Sweet Seeds in general.
Again, another smooth week in the plant nursery... if only I made the thing a little bit taller :) I think I will next year, the difference is tremendous, they're growing much, much, faster in there. Too much heat outside clearly slows down growth a bit. Some handle it better than others, clearly.
Looking good, just have to hope they can handle the heat (and the heat dies down!)
Busy flushing/harvesting the other wave of autos - busy trimming.
A blazing hot week and these plants are going to cook - temps are way above normal (37C) so it's going to be a battle from now on.
There's still time, but compared to the Fast Buds strains which were planted at exactly the same time and treated in exactly the same way?
I dunno... something's not great here. Plants are definitely not handling the heat and just don't seem too strong. I expect a very low yield from at least two of these.
Thinking about it - it could be the plastic pots vs fabric pots in high temperatures? I only used plastic pots because there was nothing else around at the time (and I'm a bit lazy) Be interesting to compare these as time goes on.
Not sure what to expect from these because the heat is so intense. At this point, anything decent would be good :)
They're looking okay and may pleasantly surprise me, hopefully.
Still very unsure about these - they look like they've been badly affected by the excessive heat - but more than any of the other strains. Compare these to the Fast Buds and I think there's an obvious difference. But this can all change over the next few weeks leading up to harvest. Regardless of size, they buds do look really, really, nice.
All still alive and doing their thing :)
Had a slight drop in temps this week and a brief heavy downpour - the humidity that follows always gives them a little boost. Heavy winds didn't help though - one plant almost went over - now propped up (and fully healed) with a stick.
A real mixed bag here - two are doing good, the other two, not so good. The real issue here isn't the seeds - it's the plastic pots. The roots are clogging up and it's much harder to measure compared to fabric pots. Lesson learnt? Never use plastic pots.
Just have to wait and see in a couple of weeks from now - the bud should be good, but the yield isn't going to be anything spectacular.
This is the last of the Jet Fuel's - will harvest later this week. It's around 10 weeks+ from germination. The diary missed a week. Lots of fox-tailing and very slow growth compared to all the others because the roots got very waterlogged at various stages during growth - must remember never to use plastic pots, opt for fabric whenever possible. The plants just don't breathe the same.
