Trainrails My first grow in my freshly build spacebucket, let's do this! I started counting the days from the moment she stuck her little head above ground. ### Day 5 ### Decided to raise the light another 20cm to a total of 50cm because I noticed some grow stagnation, hopefully this helps. Also ordered a Hydro Mars II 400W which has a true output of 100W in veg and 160W in flower as I'm afraid my 65 true Watt light is not strong enough. ### Day 6 - 9 ### I'll be away for Christmas, gave her some water when I left and put some water in the dripper so she wouldn't dry out. The total amount she got was 0.5 liter.

Trainrails I'm finaly able to check in on her again. ### Day 9 ### She is looking good, a little short, but that should turn out alright. The humidity was only 30%, so I tried to raise it by spraying the walls of the bucket and adding a damp sponge. Watered her with 0.5l ph'd water and also lowered the light again to 40cm from the plant. ### Day 10 ### Looks like she is developing another set of leaves, keep it up girl! 👌Humidity is still not really on point, the sponge doesn't seem to help. Decided to cook some water and put the water cooker next to the vent, hopefully this is a solution. ### Day 11 ### Growing steadily, the new set of leaves are showing more clearly today. The water cooking seem to have some effect, but sadly it doesn't last long, maybe I should look for an air humidifier. ### Day 12 ### Decided to pull the trigger on an air humidifier. Because my grow space is naturally stabilizing to 30%, I don't really need a dehumidifier. This is a lot better then cooking water every few hours! 😛 ### Day 13 ### I will be away again till day 17. I gave her 0.6l of water with her first batch of food and then put 0.25l ph'ed water in the dipper so that she won't dry out. Also noticed that when the humidity was 65% her leaves where a little droopy and now at 50% they look ok. Will try to keep it at 55% while I'm away.

Trainrails ###Day 18 ### She grew so much when I was away! This is amazing, I'm very happy about how she is turning out. Watered her with 0.5l of water with nutes. Also installed the new MarsHydro II 400W, it was a little to big for my bucket setup, but I managed to put some adapter pieces on the bucket (see photos). I'm blasting her with all the light has to offer, so both the grow and bloom switch are on. Read somewhere that two separate switches are kind of a gimmick, certainly when she is already this developed. Now she gets 160W full on with a fuller spectrum of colors. Started with some light LST, I have the feeling that she bends because of the weight of the metal tie and not the tightness of it, but it's a begin 😊 Oh and she started to smell faintly, I love it! ### Day 19 ### Adjusted the LST wires, she is responding very well to the training. She even starts to smell more pungent when handeled today. In the picture it looks like she is droopy, thats because she was actually in her night cycle. ### Day 20 ### She is doing pretty good. Only thing I'm concerned of is that she is short and the nodes are dence. Placed the light a little higher in the hope that she will start to stretch more. I also noticed purple/red stems, but after some research I'm pretty confident that it is nothing to be concerned about. Gave her 0.2l of water today. Today I made two homemade carbon filters. Smell is a concern where my setup is located and since she is starting to smell faintly and starts flowering in a week or two, it was time to put these together. Just used carbon from the pet store, a pen holder and some zip ties. They turned out beter then expected, I should become a professional carbon filter maker 😛. ### Day 21 ### The last day of week 3,hurray! Let the last week of veging begin tomorrow. I'm excited to see her starting to flower! She is still quite small though and the nodes are densily packed. I hope that once she starts flowering, she will also stretch a decent amount. I didn't change the LST because she still looks to be growing in the right direction. The ground felt really dry when sticking my finger in it so I gave her 0.6l of water with nutrients today.

Trainrails ### Day 22 ### Jeej, the last week of vege! She looks to respond pretty well to the LST, I see nice new growth everywhere. She is also very dence as shown in the video up above. I hope she will get a mayor stretch when starting to flower. I'm already very proud of how this little plant is turning out. 😁🌱 Also ordered some biobizz top max and bio heaven to boost flowering when it happens. ### Day 23 ### Decided to add more LST, a lot more LST (like 7 wires extra in addition to the 2 initial ones)! 😂 Was a little hard because of the density, but it worked out. I think only one budsight does not have access to direct light. I just could not get it in the right place, oh well, there looks to be enough others 😋. Hope she is not stressed too much, some of the bends are pretty hard, but she is still flexible. After reviewing the photos again I realized that I'm growing her in kind of a spiral. ### Day 24 ### Started the day by tucking the bigger leafs underneath the small ones who need more light. She looks happier now! Also watered her 0.6l with nutrients, the soil was becoming pretty dry and it was 3 days ago since her last watering. ### Day 25 ### Pretty uneventful day. She is still liking the LST, like a lot! Readjusted the LST and tucked the bigger leaves under. There is only one part of new growth I'm concerned about! It is in the middle of the top view picture, so it is from a few nodes before, but looks terrible in comparison to the rest of the plant. Like it was eaten by something. Hopefully she will rebound from this. ### Day 26 ### I put some cardboard in a V shape in front of the intake fan to defuse the airflow more. Now the new growth that had problems yesterday looks a little better, the brown red-ish is fading away. Windburn is a real thing apparently 😲 Did a lot of LST again today, trying to stay ahead of the growth. ### Day 28 ### The last day of week 4. Did some more heavy LST to make sure all potential budsights get enough light. The growth that was struggling a few days ago is doing a lot better and seems to be recovering.

Grow Questions

Trainrailsstarted grow question 7y ago
In the middle of the picture from day 25 there is something weird going on with the new growth (next picture is more detailed). One side is growing really slow, the other looks like it never grew/was eten/something. It is kind of brown/red-ish. Is this a deficiency or windburn?

Looks like windburn, do you have a fan blowing on to it?

Trainrails ### Day 29 ### Did nothing at all today, the LST was still decent and I decided to let the soil dry out some more before her next watering. This is the week she is supposed to flower, let's do this! ### Day 30 ### Again did nothing today, she is doing all the work lately! Today I noticed that the tops higher up the plant had little pistil like growth (see picture). Could this be pre flower? 😁🌸 ### Day 31 ### Gave her 0.6l with a bunch of different nutes to stimulate flower growth. ### Day 32 ### She looks very healthy and beautiful. I have the feeling she is beginning to stretch! 😁 ### Day 33 ### Yep she is definitely flowering 😁 her pistils are showing nicely on the uppermost node. But I see that some of the pistils are already turning brownish, hope this is not bad! She is also looking a lot bushier, hope she will stretch another 20cm. ### Day 35 ### Last day of week 5. Apparently I was feeding her not the right amount of nutes, her lower leafs look like the had a deficiency. So now I got a little syringe to measure properly. Noticed that I was way under feeding her up till now, oops! Hopefully she will recover from this and get back on schedule! Gave her 0.5l with the correct amount of nutrients. The uppermost part is flowering the most, but is see the other ones start as well. She is definitely stretching her limbs to the light!

Trainrails ### Recap of last week ### She started flowering (hurray 🎉) and apparently I gave her not enough nutrients, so she has a little N deficiency (on the top of the picture of day 36 you can see a yellowing and wilting leaf). ### Day 36 ### She is stretching steadily and bushing out really neatly. She is like a little shrubbery, hope I don't have to give here to the knights who say Ni! 😂 I think she is going to produce 6 - 7 colas, which is not a lot, but will definitely be enough 😊 I have the feeling that the nutrients I gave her yesterday are already making her a lot more healthy and happy! I will make sure to keep this up. Also ordered some Magnesium and Calcium to be able to tackle those deficiencies when they would occur. ### Day 37 ### Ok, I think I have found another factor why my plant could be this small: lamp distance. I think she didn't get the right PAR level. So now I dropt my light to 30cm with an estimated PAR level of 750 - 800. This should be pretty ideal for flower, let's see how she reacts to that! 😎 Wow she looked so much better today! Just look at the picture I took yesterday and the one of today! The light was indeed to far away and staggering growth! Let's hope the real stretching will start now 😁 ### Day 39 ### Wow she looks so much better with the lower light! The leafs really go up for the light and down when it's dark. She never did that before, or not in this way. So what I learned is that seedlings do stretch when the light is too far away. But once she is old enough she will stop growing when the light is too fat away. Also, some of the leafs are getting purple tips, a nice purple plant would be awesome! ### Day 41 ### She is still struggling with an N deficiency, so gave her 1l of water with some extra nutes.

Trainrails ### Day 44 ### She is doing really well, she grew a decent amount, but I'm still hoping on 2 weeks of stretch before she stops. She is unfortunately still struggling with a deficiency. I'm guessing nitrogen, magnesium and calcium. So I'm waiting for the soil to dry out to give an extra boost on those and hopefully the lower leafs will stop wilting like they are now. ### Day 45 ### Apperantely I have a nutrition lock. The PH of the runoff water was only 5.6! So I flushed her with 25l of plain water Ph'ed to 6.5. Now the lock is hopefully gone! I have to say I have never seen her this sad before. With her leafs all droopy and stuff. On a more positive note, my tent arrived! 😁 This is so awesome! ### Day 46 ### OK the noise of the exhaust fan in my tent is just too much! I switched it with a less noisy one, but now I have no intake fan, should be fine. The loudest part now is the fan inside the tent. ### Day 47 ### She looks a little better today and the soil is starting to dry. I'm going to wait till Monday before I water and feed her again. Depends on how dry the soil is then.

Trainrails ### Day 50 ### She is looking very good! Finally gaining some height and I already can see some frost on the main cola. After flushing her last week this was the first time I gave here 1l of water and a good dosage of feed. Let's hope she keeps up the stretch for another week or two 🙏 Also discovered two small colas that look like they are not flowering properly yet and decided to give them a chance by getting the others out of the way so the light reaches the little fellas. A little extra bud is always appreciated. ### Day 53 ### Did a thorough inspection of my little plant. Cut of some colas that where underdeveloped so she would focus on the main ones. Good that I did this inspection because I found a nanner hidden underneath the canopy! My theory is that it formed because of the rapid PH change of last week. Plucked it right off. I hope this was the only one. Also gave her 1l with nutrients.

Trainrails ### Day 56 ### Watered her 1l ph'ed water without nutrition. ### Day 58 ### She has stopped stretching and starting fattening up. After finding the nanner list week I check her every time I take her out. I don't want her to produce seeds, I would be more than happy to smoke her over a month or two! Noticed she turned dark green, which indicates that she got too much nitrogen.

Trainrails Another pretty uneventful week. Just gave her 1l every 2 days, she seems to fatten up quite a bit! I have been on the lookout for new nanners, but seems that the one from a few weeks ago was the only one.

Trainrails This week I only got photos of the last day. Not that a lot happened. Gave her 1l water every 2 days. She has minor signs of light burn, but I'm not to concerned because she is going into her last week fo flower.

Trainrails Her last week! I'm gonna mis this little girl when she gets chopped on Sunday! But I'm also gonna be happy with the weed :p Again 1l of water per 2 days and upped the nutrition one last time. I don't flush because I read a study saying it doesn't make a difference to flush or not, so better to give her nutrition till the end of her life then to let her starve. Some of the LED strips fell off, so I placed them around the plant at her level, hopefully they are still some what helping out :p

Trainrails There we are, we did it! I was aiming for 30g int the beginning, but I'm happy with the 26g! Most of it is nice dense bud, but there are also some fluffy parts, which I hope won't taste worse 😛 I did mess up half way through the grow with some beginner errors, but she healed near the end and put on some nice colorful bud. 31894
