Was gonna grow 3 but one popped up prematurely and looked like it was not gonna make it so I started another bean but in the end it somehow recovered, and now I have 4 with one about 5 days behind.
All four have been topped. Three are going to be short and chunky although they are still a bit different from each other. the replacement bean is beginning to look like it will be not so chunky. Took them out in the sun to scrape the algae off and hose them down.
Quite a bit of defoliation, not all in one go but continuous. Mainly concentrating on small leaves at the top before they become big. Plants need a lot less leaves than you think.
We have moved into flowering, I've been doing a lot of defoliation as we go except for the tall plant which doesn't need it. Plus a big defoliation plus pruning as they move into flower.
Lots of continuous defoliation on the three smaller one, just a few leaves off the larger one, with the plump looking buds. I have germinated my next run of four super lemon haze which I will begin tomorrow and they can live on light spill till they are ready.
I have also purchased some new lighting as the QB96 boards are better for more open areas. I hav purchased 3 new viparspectra xs1500 Pro (with the new lenses) which will give me a tidier tent and a perfect light distribution.
Everything is bulking up this week. The tall plant is the perfect Jedi Kush phenotype but it's rare to see these days, sadly. One is fluffy and covered with trichomes. The other two are more packed together and will hopefully bulk up a lot more in a couple of weeks. However the tall 23in one will probably come down in one week.
Quite a bit of fattening up this week. The tall plant is a magnificent specimen, my favourite platonic ideal of structure. The one on the left is also sprayed liberally with fairy dust, the two on the right have been what I have normally come to expect from Jedi Kush.
I'm going to keep going with the tall plant, maybe chop one branch off to see how it compares to another week under the light. The other three definitely need another week.
Three came down a few days ago and the fluffy one came down today. Estimate yield on the two large ones is 4.75oz each and I estimate the smaller ones at 3.25oz each, but this is a very resiny plant so we shall see what the final result is.
