16th of June -23rd of June
Had no idea on how to grow, tried to keep humidity high and closed the tent, giving them a crispy 32°C/90°F.
Definitely no foreshadowing of something bad to happen.
Watered her with non pH water which is at 7.8-8. Also not ideal.
23rd of June -30th of June
All three had time to grow a little and the first signs of these less than perfect conditions started to show… but our main character is looking fairly good compared to the rest.
I water every 4 days +/- and slowly ramp up the amount but dont exceed 1L yet
30th of June - 7th of July
As you can see her sisters did not make it.
Her on the other hand is starting to grow more or less nicely.
She got topped and I almost immediately started to also LST her. Now is the start of where I went online to ask knowledgeable people for help and why her leaves are so curled. (Nitrogen toxicity)
Also I finally got hydrometers and noticed how hot it is - she now lives in an opened tent.
7th of July - 14th of July
She is starting to get a nice and healthy green and bush out. The solution for the twisted and curly leaves was higher ppfd and keeping temps/humidity/pH more in check.
I use some metal stakes I bent in form to keep her even and symmetrical and yes she definitely is too close to the soil which will make watering her annoying.
I also use some of these fuzzy wires for additional LST.
I decided she needed a more suitable pot since her 7L was more wide than deep. I picked an 11L that has quite some depth. Transplanted on July 11th and we will see what happened to her then.
14th of July - 21st of July
She is starting to bush out nicely. I really like her green color she developed and to me it looks like her growth is not stunted due to the repotting.
Besides that I feed her a tiny bit of calmag every now and then, she drinks around 3 Liters every 2-3 days.
I don’t know precisely when flowering starts but I guess next week will be the first week of flower.
21st of July - 28th of July
She is growing? I’m not sure, she is starting to flower and getting taller every day so I increase the height of the lamp for a little stretch. I try to keep the canopy an even height and do some leaf tucking when I see that budsites are covered.
I sometimes cut off a few leaves but really not too much since her lowest areas get pretty good airflow.
Not really much else to say, I think she looks good! Oh and I start to feed her some Biobizz bloom nutes in low dosages. She now drinks 4 Liters every 2 days almost!
28th of July - 4th of August
Her stretch is nearing the end and she is starting to develop some nice flowers.
I switched to bloom nutes (2-7-4) and try not to overfeed. She is losing her strong green from the veg phase and that is alright!
I wonder when she will start producing smells…
Additionally I freed up some of her lower parts near the main branches, roughly the lowest 1/4th of her to get some good airflow going.
That’s it and we will see what she looks like next week!
4th of August - 11th of August
After noticing thrips I used insecticide - a bit too much actually and turned the lights back on too fast. Left her with brown spots on some leaves and I defoliated affected ones.
Also my watering was not optimal, I gave 80% of her feeding in the same spot instead of evenly distributed. After flushing and getting her down to 600ppm (from 1900) I also fed her some epsom salt and half dose bloom nutes plus a little calmag.
On the 11th I also added some 0-0-50 to really fatten up the buds, so let’s see where this is going!
11th of August - 18th of August
She is developing slowly and occasionally I trim some of the bad looking leaves. Her nutrient deficiency has been survived well and her new sugar leaves are looking healthy.
I will start giving a little less nutes from now on since she is super sensitive.
Besides that I guess two more weeks or so and she will be done!
