2 PB Cookies and 1 Tangie were gifted to me by a friend. I harvested 3 plants this week so 3 new seeds germinated. Soaked 3 Rapid Rooters in yesterday's boiled water from the tea kettle, put in the seeds, and placed in the windowsill today. No nutes until I move them to the buckets, just keep some water at the bottom of the container while they are germinating.
Update: One PB Cookies germinated on Thursday, Aug 8. She grew fast so I moved her to the bucket on Sunday.
Only one seed germinated, on Thursday, August 8th. I think the storage of the seeds that my friend gifted me was the issue, a few months old and not kept in a fridge.
Moved the PB Cookies to the bucket today, used week 1 nutes from growweedeasy.com General Hydroponics Floraseries trio nute schedule. Used water that I filled in the bucket a few days ago. Did not have to pH up/down as it ended up in range.
I'll make sure to go down and top water twice a day for a few days.
Excited for this grow as it was a free seed!
This week is going well, pH has remained pretty stable. Changed the water mid-week, so hopefully can stretch until next Sunday (trying to do about 10 days until she drinks a little more). Her little roots look happy and are reaching the water, so all is well! I can't wait to see the growth take off within the next couple of weeks.
Peanut Butter Cookies is showing some good growth on her leaves and roots this week. Right now I have two other plants flowering in the same tent, so that's why the lights are so high. I'll probably move her to the tent with my other babies this week so the lights are closer.
I changed the bucket water today.

Sad, sad news for this girl. She got root rot this week. My air conditioner went out for a couple days on the hottest days of the year, so maybe that's why she got rotten. But I noticed on Thursday and have been fighting it ever since:
Rinsed roots in fresh water.
Changed bucket water.
Removed worst affected leaves.
I'm hoping that I can save her and she didn't get stunted too bad. I've been checking her roots twice per day and they are looking much better, and the new leaf growth is looking pretty good.
The little engine that could! This little guy looks so much better and seems to have survived his case of root rot. I pulled off the worst of the leaves last week. I'm really happy with how the new growth on both the leaves and the roots look. I've left his water unchanged all week since he seems to be growing well, but he's such a little guy! We will see how big he gets in the end, but at least I'll hopefully get to smoke this strain. Free seed anyway! Changed the water today and added week 4 nutes again, since he is still solidly in Veg.
This baby has made it and is transitioning into flower. The little engine that could!! She seems to have survived the root rot but I don't think she will get very big. Maybe now that the lockout has ended from the root rot she will start to stretch!
This girl is catching up in height to her sisters. Her roots are really white and happy now, so I think we are ready to go into a nice flower cycle! The stretch has added a lot of height but not too much width.
The little freebie that could. I can't believe how tall this girl got once she moved into her flower phase, and I'm really pretty excited to see what kind of flavor profile I get out of this girl. Her roots look pretty good, I think the mosquito dunks didn't hurt anything and I haven't seen any living worms, though I did see a few drain flies in the buckets. The sticky fly traps haven't caught any of them but I guess they are hanging too high and they like the buckets. Oh well, once the larval cycle has been interrupted, as long as I keep the tent pretty air tight I should be ok.
The little Peanut Butter that could is going strong and starting to flower up and putting out some smells this week. I can't believe how tall she got, but she needs a defoliation this week, and some lolly-popping for sure. I've got some weird discoloration on some of the fan leaves, so I'll be picking those off this week and try to get some before and after's when I do that for next week's entry.
