August 10, dropping seeds in water tonight. Wish me luck! Mamas first photoperiods. Placed in shot glasses with distilled water. Covered and on heating pad. August 14 one seed had a nice white tail going. The rest were in various stages of opening. Popped them all in my soil mix. Going to try to move away from the fox farms this grow and am trying pro mix with worm castings, Gaia green 4-4-4. I’ve watered in with ph 6.7 water. Rocking the humidity dome. Good luck girls.

8/17 2 of 5 seeds above ground. Relocated the non sprouted seeds to another pan so I can dial in my environment for my baby seedlings. Sporty spice and posh are first to sprout. Not giving up on my other gals! Girl power! 8/18. Three other seeds still sleeping. Other 2 are growing up! Seeing first little jagged true leaves on both. Checked in to make sure all was well. Trying to keep temps for seedlings in the high 70s with RH around 60-70%. 8/21. Welp, posh and sporty are still growing! Sporty has SPRUNG in height, I’m not sure if I needed to get under more intense light more quickly, if it’s just the way this seed is but she is easily 3 times as tall as her sister. Leaves looking nice and even praying today. Posh is still getting her footing. Keep growing girls! The other three seeds are still sleeping. Not giving up on them just yet! 8/22 - girls going strong. Sleeping seeds still sleeping. I’m not sure at what point I give up. Hoping they decide to sprout still. Sporty spice is SUPER tall. I have two fans going now, buried sporty a little deeper by propping soil up around it. This I hope will tide me over until I pot up in another week. I love that the stems can root, bury those buddies deep!

8/26 - sporty looking great, praying hard! Posh is working on it. But look who finally showed up to the party! I’m calling her Baby spice. She sprouted 12 days after going in the soil. Way to be a fighter girl! This is going to be a tricky thing to manage I feel like my gals are tracking a week apart. I’ll keep this journal’s timeline on sporty spice. -1 week for posh and -2 weeks for baby spice. spice girls let’s grooooow! 8/30 - exactly two weeks from sprout for Sporty and Posh. Pretty wild how big a difference there is between the two. Baby is getting her footing. Now. Sporty already pushing 4-5 nodes and I saw a tiny root through the drain hole. Wanted to pot her up! About 8 cups pro mix, one cup perlite. About 1.5 tbs of Gaia green 4-4-4, some worm castings and sprinkled mycorrhiza around where the rootball would be. God speed girly! 9/3. Potted up Posh today. About a half gallon pro mix, plus about 1.5 tbsp of the Gaia green 4-4-4. Plus about a cup of worm castings, perlite, and mycorrhiza. Sporty is looking very happy, 5 nodes and counting. Added back my second light, let’s go girls!!! 9/5. Wrapping up week 2 here, so far I’ve been really impressed with the pro mix Gaia green and soil support so far. The girls seem happy and healthy. See you in week 3!

Wow, 3 weeks from sprout, here we go! 9/12. Progress! I don’t know if it’s the new soil/nutrient approach, the difference in now growing photoperiods, or maybe I’m just getting a better hang at dialing in my environment. But I feel like this grow is going swimmingly, the girls seem really happy. I’ve topped posh and baby spice. For now, letting sporty grow! Will need to do some space planning to make sure I can accommodate my babes through flower. Gals seem happy, watering with ph 6.3 water every couple days. I’m going to pot up sporty again soon and start some LST with her. Happy growing everyone!

9/14- week 4, friends! Baby and Posh are topped and have recovered nicely. I just potted up baby spice, and also moved sporty spice up to a 5 gal. Roots were looking nice on both! I’m trying to figure out what to do with sporty, my plan was to LsT because I missed my preferred window to top, and I do think I’ll run out of space if I let her go fully natural. Will see how she comes back from this transplant and see if I can start up some LST. adding 1 tbsp of Gaia 444 per gallon when I’m potting up. Happy growing!

Starting week 5 of veg for sporty, 4 for posh and 3 for baby. I waited too long to start LST for sporty so she’s lookin a little weird in the screen lol but I have faith she will recover. Baby showing some signs of fading on her mature leaves. Still trying to trouble shoot? Hmm. 9/22- a few days into five weeks above soil. Here’s the score: Sporty and posh sprouted first. Sporty is in gal fabric pot, about a week into potting up. I am using a plastic pot for baby and posh right now. Baby and posh are showing signs of what I believe is nitrogen deficiency. Still getting used to the Gaia green and will plan to add some bonemeal tomorrow to try to correct. Fed a molasses tea using unsulphered blackstrap molasses at about 7 ph. 9/23 5 +4 days Cannabis is freakin amazing. The girls seemed to LOVE the molasses water and really seemed to fill out and bounce back overnight from all the bending and folding I did. Im going to determine how to proceed, if I will try to pot up posh and baby soon, hoping to correct the nitrogen deficiency through fresh amended soil and blood meal. Or if I want to try to amend to get the veg lookin real good. I do need to get serious about potting up the remaining gals and figure out how I flip some/all to flower. Decisions decisions! I have several good bud sites developing, really working on filling out the screen, trying to get the smaller 2 caught up with sporty. You go girls!!!!

9/27 here we go week 6! I’ve been bending all my ladies under the screen as they grow. Today I potted up posh and baby. Baby is in a 3.5 gallon plastic pot. The other two are in 5 gallon fabric pots. I added fresh pro mix soil, perlite, worm castings, and half all Purpose and half flower of the Gaia nutrients. Mykos around roots and added some blood meal too I hope to help a little quicker with what I was thinking was nitrogen issues. But now I’m not sure! Seeing brown spots on the leaves in addition to the fade of color makes me think I’m missing something else. New growth looks relatively good though, but do notice some slightly lighter ends on some of the leaves. Will keep an eye on things and see how everyone bounces back over the next few days. Gave a good watering ph 6.8 good luck girls!

10/5 - week 7 of veg here we are! I snipped some clones yesterday, we will see how that goes! Started a separate diary to track those 5 ladies. Godspeed. Added more light! Needed to upgrade. Now going with a Spider Farmer, sized for a 2x4 tent. I also have one of my VIVOSUN lights in the big tent too. Running about 60% at 24 inches above canopy. Needed to do some rearranging, somewhat promoted by space limitations! I got rid of the wire rack, now letting the ladies spread out a little more. I am going to give one more molasses feed with a top dress of Gaia bloom, and perhaps some glacial rock dust. Last go at veg, I think I’ll flip to flower later this week. 7 weeks 5 days. Ladies looking good, perked up from their watering. I put the screen back up to assist in evening the canopy and adding some support and structure during impending flower. Space wise I don’t think I have the space to save one of these girls for further veg and mothering. So I am going to have to flower all 3 at once. Maybe beginning of next week flip the light cycle? That would be about 8 weeks from sprout for sporty and about 6 weeks for baby with posh in between. Interested in how they’ll all do with yields.

Here we are, week 8 (week six adjusted for Baby Spice). Week 8 from seed, week 1 of flower, flipped to 12-12 lighting about half way through week 8. I upgraded my humidifier to an AC infinity T3. I’ve got it set to keep a 60% RH and it seems to keep things way more stable. Before I had an auto thermostat Lenovo which worked great but I was running out of room in my tent, harder and harder to clear the canopy! Starting to see faint signs of flowering. Keep on growing girls.

Finishing up week 9 since sprout 10/24 Girls have stretched and are showing clear flowering signs. Trying my best to mitigate height, might need to do a little super cropping on a few stems. Overall, seem to be progressing nicely. Need to sort out a defoliation soon because damn. I wanted to try to avoid that too much because I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing but DAMN that canopy is thick!

10/30 spooky season is here and I’m making a Week 10 day 5 update Girls really bounced back from some defoliation and an accidental supercrop (got a little to rough bending down one of the tallest girlies). Stretching and growing, I’ll get a more accurate height later but for now, they are rising and praying! Watered in another round of Gaia green Bloom about 1 scoop per gallon. Plus some worm castings for fun. Been doing a weekly molasses watering too, 1-2 tbs per gallon. Warmed a cup or so, dissolved the molasses and then poured into my watering bucket. Keeping an eye on node spacing, can’t tell if the girls are stretched, or just making room to fill in. Thanks for reading, happy growing!

Here we are, week 11 day 1, here’s my weekend check in. Bud sites filling in well, I’ve been trying to balance defoliation with wanting to make sure the gals aren’t too cramped. I really want to put a whole ass grow room on my Christmas list this year 😜 but until then I got my tents 😇 White hairs-a-plenty. I’m noticing the two plants under the Spider Farmer light have seems to have closer bud spacing and not stretching so tall. No hate to VIVOSUN those lights have gotten me through 3 grows, still using them in my little veg tent and on half of the flower tent. But the spider farmer is more powerful, only on 80% at this point and doing great! Gave round of molasses tea. Seeming to need water every 3 days or so. Happy growing and thanks for reading!

Week 12, girls are full on blooming. Filling out the stems quite nicely. She’s been extra thirsty too! Added another tbs per gallon of Gaia bloom and some worm castings before watering in today. One of the gals is looking a little yellow tinted on her newer leaves, I need to sort out what’s going on. But overall, the buds are sticky and smelling delicious. We press on!

She’s beefing up! Coming up on end of life I think. Flowers really starting to look beefy. Tender and very smelly. I think I made a critical mistake, and inadvertently top dressed with glacial rock dust as if it were my Gaia green. I believe this is why I’m seeing some interesting colored leaves in week 14 as I type this. But this weeks photos aren’t as bad yet. Read your labels closer, friends! Aside this fuckup, I think things are still going great! She’s thirsty but noticing a bit harder for her to absorb water into the pot. Could be both the rock dust and the density of the root mass contributing my to this. See you in week 14

Here we go seeing some bronzing on the leaves. Thinking this is the result of my glacial rock dust incident a few weeks ago. Just going to try to hang on a few more weeks. These buds are smelling and looking good! 11/26 about 14 weeks 4 days for these gals. Still feeling like there’s still some developing to happen. Smelling wonderful.

Here we are, week 15! I tried checking some trichomes and am still seeing plenty of clear, lots of white hairs still and colas aren’t as thick as I would like so, I am going to give them just a few more weeks to grow and bulk up. Gave a nice pruning, took off sad looking leaves but mostly just trying to do future me a solid.

Alright about a week and a half out from chop. I was able to keep my dry tent dialed in at around 65 deg and about 60-58% RH. Since I did a bit of a wet trim I was able to get these gals dried in about 7-10 days. Ran out of steam to trim and move to cure at once so Ive been trimming up branches as I can this week. Final yield is just over 7 oz of flower, I’m also going to experiment with some sugar leaf trim for a bake. Overall, very proud of this grow! Spice girls you did good.
