The focus on this grow is nutrients. I feel comfortable with the general set up in my new grow room now. The lighting, air flow, humidity are working well. Manifolding is well established.
I have been feeding this cohort of GSC a lot more in the early days than the last grow. Last time I was worried about burning the baby plant. This time I decided to be a bit more aggressive, and she is growing like crazy! Compare the same week on this GSC grow with my previous grow....
Her shape is nice. Mainline is all set up and 8 colas are on the way. She's full and leafy and tolerating nutrients well. This is the first time I have been so bold with nutrients starting from seedling stage.
She is growing so well! Switched her to 12-12 this week. Not to watch the stretch. Usually the GSC cookie stretch is less than other varieties... so I wanted her to grow a bit longer in veg. Fingers are crossed for a good sized plant.
This plant is full and bushy in spite of being on the second week of 12-12 light cycle. Her stretch is still obvious... she grew several inches, but she didn't thin out much at all. I took off some of the larger fan leaves to expose lower regions of the plant to light.
She is big with loads of bud sited. She stretched out nicely, while remaining dense and leafy. She tolerates nutrients well. Super easy to grow so far.
The GSC is growing nicely... loads of bud sites ALL OVER. She's a lot taller than my first GSC plant and it's going to give a huge yield. I can already tell :)
GSC is pretty easy to grow. She has loads of bud sites and is full and robust. I have two plants in this cohort and both are looking really good. The second plant was a bit smaller so I kept her in veg for two extra weeks. She just started flowering this week, but she's a full and robust as her big sister :)
I have two GSC plants in this grow... one is a couple of weeks behind the other, but they are looking so frosty and delicious right about now! They are so full of bud sites. Sun West Genetics have good seeds. I have had no failures so far...
Her flowers are fat and frosty. Really happy with the way she is growing in. I took off some more fan leaves today to expose buds to more lights. Nutrients are well tolerated. Only a couple of weeks left :)
I'm going to harvest this one now. I'm happy with the cloudy trichomes. I don't like couchlocking bud. I prefer this batch to be for daytime use :) Stay tuned for harvest stats over the next few days.
Easy mode. Sun West Genetics GSC results in high yields. Each. Time. I used mainlining, and defoliation, and LST. Easy enough to grow. I did a good job of trimming before taking a wet weight... helps to manage expectations!
If you weren't expecting seeds and didn't have any males reach maturity to the point that their pollen sacks opened up, I wouldn't grow those seeds. It means they are the offspring of hermaphrodite genetics (male pollen sacks and female flowers all in one plant) and their genetic line is forever tainted. The offspring are just as likely, if not more, to produce more hermaphrodites. These could ruin entire harvest by pollinating every plant in a grow room or garden, leading to much less usable plant matter and cannabinoids.
@SortOfNovice, interesting!! I won't grow this GSC again because the munchies are just INSANE. I can eat ALL the things and still not be satisfied. It's a shame because the high is really fun.
I found seeds in my buds!!! WTF. I germinated one...they are completely viable. I have no space for so many plans... haha... it's a good problem to have.
