Saturday Night, removed seed from refrigerator and placed in shot glass at 81 degrees.

Sunday Night, seed soaked for 20 hours and then placed into wet paper towels and put in dark place at 81 degrees.

Monday Night, 24 hours in paper towel and seed has a tap root, I wanted it a little longer so left it in paper towels.

Tuesday Morning, 12 hours since I last checked it and tap root is now at a size I like.
I planted seed, tap root down, in Happy Frog Soil.

I will be growing this White Runtz x Okie in a 1 gallon Air Pot to harvest.
When I transplant into the 1 gallon Air Pot, I'll be using Pro-Mix HP Mycorrhizal.
I've never used Pro-Mix soil before so I'm pretty excited to try it out and if it does well in this tester run, I'll be using it for a full tent grow!

I did not have room for another plant so I went ahead and purchased a AC Infinity Cloudlab 632 tent. I furnished the tent with AC Infinity's Ionframe Evo3 and Cloudline T4 exhaust, all controlled by the Controller 69!
This tent will be known as the "Anything Grows" tent. You will see other small pot grows, new techniques, experiments, and anything else I can come up with because in this space, "Anything Grows" 🤣
In the picture that shows my tent/light, you will see another plant, that plant is the 1st Autoflower that I've ever grown. It spent it's first 5 weeks in a 20"x20"x36" Stealth Box. I trained it for the small space but once I got the new tent, I decided it could flower in the tent. It's been in there just over 1 week now.
Since it's an Auto, the light cycle doesn't matter so I can grow my 1 gallon challenge photoperiod plant next to it without causing environmental/lighting issues.
In an attempt to get this seedling to take off, I transplanted out of the solo cup and Happy Frog into a 1.3 quart pot and Pro-Mix HP.
Pro-Mix sent me samples of their HP-M and even though I swear by Fox Farm, the consistency, texture, etc of Pro-Mix HP is definitely superior.
I do need to get use to how it takes water, I see a couple of the leaves curling so I may have slightly over watered.
Even so, I've seen a bit of growth since transplanting.
I'm recording the start of Week 1 Veg as 08/24, the day it was transplanted into the 1.3 quart pot.

Ionframe Evo3 dimmed to 60%
Transplanted into final 1 gallon Air Pot with the Pro-Mix HP-M that Pro-Mix sent me to try out.
I used some Pro-Mix Connect Mycorrhizal Inoculant Transplant Powder that Pro-Mix also sent me samples of, I maybe could of used a little bit more but wanted to be a little cautious because I've never used it before.
Pretty simple to use, just mix 1 part Pro-Mix Connect to 1 part water and mix well. Once it's mixed, completely coat your root/soil ball and plant it.
I hope it does everything they claim.

Wanted to wait longer but don't have long till flip date deadline so I topped her so I have time to train.

Pro-Mix HP-M does not have nutrients so I started feeding Armor Si (Silica), Flora Micro, Flora Gro, and Flora Bloom.
The other plant is the first Auto I've tried to grow. Long Story short is I fed it like a photoperiod in bloom and think locked out. I've been on straight water for 16 days, would love to give some bloom booster because the buds are a nice size already and I know I could make them even chunkier but I'm kind of afraid of killing it now 😅

Ionframe Evo3 dimmed to 60%
I thought I had a constant droop but I don't think I actually had an issue. I was checking on my plant 1-2 hours after lights on and 1-2 hours before lights off and it was in fact "waking up" and "going to sleep" when I was checking it. I found this out when I checked in the middle of the day when I wasn't working and seen no droop lol. I've been watching it and like clock work, droops till a certain time in the morning and starts drooping again later in the evening.
Have not needed to water again, is drying though and seems like it will need some tomorrow.

Light Dimmed to 40%
I'm trying to decide how I want to train her, I might take 4 of the lower nodes that are at the top now and put a lst clip on them and top each of them.
I wish the node spacing was a little longer, I was running my light at 60% because of the Auto blooming so that may have played a role in the short node spacing. I'm starting to see a very faint color change on the leaf tips, I'm assuming it's from light intensity but I about to chopped the Auto so I dropped the intensity to 40%
After 12 days, I finally got to water again.

Topped the 4 highest lower/outer branches.
Put a LST Clip on the 2 main/inner branches.
Watering has been every other day now.

Ionframe Evo3 dimmed to 40%
I have the plant trained so all the major branches tops are bent with an LST Clip to the outside and not over or under any other major branch. Half of these branches were topped about a week ago.
The middle of the plant is made up of the smaller growth from the major branches.
Yesterday I did a little trimming. I removed some leaves that were pointing inward and covering up the growth in the middle of the plant.
I also cleaned up the lower parts of the plant by removing small leaves/growth.
It's a heck of a lot easier to water this small pot now that there's not any leaves in the way 😅
Taking water at a rate of 1.5 quarts every other day.
Increased Silica from 1 ml/gal to 1.25 ml/gal.
Increased Micro, Gro, and Bloom from 2.5 ml/gal to 5 ml/gal.
Plant will be flipped to flower on 09/30, contest rule.

I think it's setup really well going into flower, all the main tops, including the 4 that I topped twice, are setup to the outside of the plant with all the lower growth peaking through the middle.
Mostly everything is at the top ready to soak up the light!
Definitely going to need a week 3 defoliation, all the leaves and then some grew back from my last trimming.

Ionframe Evo3, lowered light intensity from 40% to 30%, I could of raised the light up but I took the easy way out lol.
All the growth is pretty much at the top of the plant, can't wait for week 3 to do some defoliation so she can soak up the light and have room for some nice buds 🤗
I'll stop feeding Armor Si (Silica) after she's done stretching.

Plant has started flowering.
I need to get in there with scissors in the next couple days and open her up a little.
I'm no longer feeding Silica.

Did some defoliation
Has been taking the same amount of water every other day for pretty much the whole grow so far.
This is my first time growing a plant to harvest in a small pot, I was expecting more issues along the way but really it's been smooth sailing.

Pretty underwhelmed about the bud development, not seeing the stacking I would like.
I guess one of the struggles of growing in smaller pots.
Started adding Hydroplex to the nutrient solution, hopefully that will help with bud development.

Branches started flopping over.
Added a couple AC Infinity plant stakes and used ACI garden wire to attach branches to stakes to keep them up.
I didn't want to change damaging the roots so I wire tied the stakes to the air pot.

Just finished up the nutrient solutions I had mixed up, will be removing some N and adding more P and K.
Maybe should of done it a bit sooner but didn't want to waste what I had mixed up.

Ppfd measured with Photone app with diffuser, calibrated with a friends actual ppfd meter.
Lowered N and Raised PK, let's see if we can get these buds chunky!
Pretty happy overall for my first time growing in a 1 gallon pot.
Can't believe there wasn't any root issues along the way!

I think I've got all I could out of this plant, probably chop at the end of this week.
This is the first time I've grown in this small of pot.
Definitely some things I would of done differently but all in all, I don't think I did to bad.
Was a fun contest we came up with on a forum I belong to, I'm sure there will be more in the future!
