This one just happened by complete and entire accident. I in no way intended to breed these two plants together in any fashion. Sheer negligence for a few days caused myself to miss a male Quantum Kush in a tiny closet grow tent right next to a Lemon Alien girl during the first weeks of flowering. We took him out but he pollinated a few of the pistols on a Lemon Alien and I found a couple seeds. This one seed germinated perfectly so here we have this accidental strain. I'm going to grow it, regardless of its sex, to fruition and document it all here. If he's a boy I'll be hitting something with the pollen for laughs. If she's a girl I'll see what she looks like and name her I guess. She wouldn't really be 'mine' per say because I am not responsible for creating the original strains in any fashion other than purchasing the seeds and having this seed appear from an accidental pollination but I'll be taking a cut of her if she's a girl and making a mom out of her since 'why not'.
She's in a 36 inch by 20 inch mylar tent with a ventilation system that is not yet operational so expect more 'fuller' pictures in the days to come. The soil is Ocean forest so the plant won't be given any nutrients till I transplant it into a larger pot in about a week or so.
The roots on this sucker are beginning to show through the side of the cup. Once I see a few wraps of the main root structure around the bottom of the cup I will transplant this bad boy/girl into a larger cup to veg before my final transplant for it. No need for nutrients yet but I will most likely begin a very light nutrient regiment after I get the plant transplanted so I don't stress this bugger out. Looking very robust start to the second week for this creation. Lets see where the week takes us.
Well folks, it's the start of week three for this awesome breed of mine. The plant is still in it's infancy but it's root structure has grown so much that I have transplanted the plant into a super gulp 7/11 cup. This transplant should hold the plant over until week 5 when the plant will be transplanted into a 5 gallon bucket for it's final weeks of vegetation so it can be tied down and trained till it's flowering time. (praying it's a girl the whole time) Nutrient mixture for this week is super low as to not stress or burn the plant. PH of the nutrient water is balanced down to 6.0 keeping the whole grow in optimal conditions. I've defoliated the first few leaves off the plants to trigger the freshly topper bugger to produce it's four main tops so that I can top the plant again as soon as possible. Hopefully I'll get to top the plant again before the week is through. Currently the plant looks like an angry bush but throughout the week it should branch out quite a bit reaching for the light hopefully triggering a fast growth spurt. Enjoy.
The plant is really beginning to fill out after having been defoliated twice as well as being topped once. You can tell the plant is ready to start making itself taller as it begins to solidify a stronger root structure. Not much to really report as it's we've finally reached what I consider to be the start of real vegetation time for most photoperiod strains. Hopefully the plant will be packing on some height this week as expected. Enjoy.
Well it's the start of week 5 and the plant is beginning to start to really branch out. Looks like it'll ned to be trained quite a bit because some tops want to be the main despite me trying to get them all even. Not to worry though, I expect to have a lot of fun with this bad boy. Another week or so of vegetation and then I'll transplant into a 5 gallon pot for high stress training. Till then it's just a waiting game. 💤
As you may have noticed I switched over to flower for a few days to gender test the plant so we can find out if this is a male or a female. Once the plant begins to show it's sex we'll figure out if it needs to be quarantined as a male or leave it right where it is as a female. Wish me luck! Hoping it's a girl but if it's a male I wont mind harvesting the pollen to create a completely new strain for another journal. Wish me luck!
Now that my baby is a confirmed female I have switched the lighting back to 24 hours to 're-veg' the plant more or less. Soon I'll be taking a clone off of her and then training her a bit so that I can flower her while keeping the original mother alive in a sense.
Just another week of vegetation here so enjoy how awful she looks from all the stress I've put her through.
Cheers!
She's beginning to snap back into the swing of things after treating her like complete 💩 these past few weeks. Soon I'll be taking some clones off her and begin documenting the growth of those as well. My next flowering endeavor will most likely be her clones after I finish up breeding my Ahsoka Tano with itself. Until it's time to do so I'll just continue vegging this fool until I feel comfortable turning her into babies. Cheers!
She has finally been transplanted to a larger pot to be trained like the Ahsoka Tano. I cut one clone off her to keep her around since I kind of like her style. She now has 4 main tops and a few that may become main tops. Once she recovers in a few days I'll be training her so she can become a beautiful bush that I can flower :D
Enjoy.
Welp, I missed a week due to being in Alaska. She sucks and is super angry so I'm sure you all don't mind. HAHA
I got home and she looked to have recovered just a little bit so I decided to tie her down and train her a little bit. We'll see if she likes any form of training what-so-ever. I don't think I like this accidental strain but we are gonna grow her anyways just for the laughs at this point. If I like how she turns out I'll keep the clone I cut of her. If I decide I don't like her I will just throw the clone I cut of her away. I figured it'd be fun to grow her and it's been...... interesting to say the least. Soon I'll be growing a bunch of new strains so I'm not too concerned about this little old plant but I'll put the same work into her as the others regardless. Lets see if we can't make a bush out of her yet.
Cheers!
Just finishing up a few days more of vegetation before we switch her over to flower to get her out of the way of the rest of the booming garden. We'll be switching this plant, I'm not too much of a fan of, over to flower on day 81. We'll update the nutrients and info for the whole diary once we get into the next week.
Cheers!
Nutrients updated.
She's chugging along. It looks like she's finally decided to give a flying F^#$ about growing almost 90 days in. hahahahaha
I still don't much care for this plant but then she goes and shows me some very strong traits like her big leaves that are robust and strong and her gigantic pistols emanating from her growth nodes. I still don't know how to feel about her to be completely honest. I may cut a clone of her off to keep for myself to try again in the future when I clean up her lower branches. I'm not sure since I gave the other clones I cut to a buddy. I'll have to think about it. If I clone her she's going to go into a hydro setup to see if she grows any better than in soil but thats entirely a hypothetical scenario. We shall see.
Enjoy.
Welp, it's week two-ish of flower. Nothing too special happening except early bud development and some light defoliaton. Upped the nutrients to make sure she has the needed 'supplies' to bloom as I'd like her to. Nothing much else to report other than to show you all pretty pictures of her developing.
Enjoy :D
Here we have the end of week three and the start of week four of flower :D
Her nodes are getting very at and lovely, especially for her size. She's a tiny itty bitty bush with fat nodes on her and I'm starting to love her. I am contemplating either segregating her from my Ahsoka Tano when I pollinate her or even hitting her with some pollen to make another new strain to keep me busy this winter. I haven't made up my mind yet so we shall see. I hope you enjoy watching her develop.
Week 4 and part of week 5 of flower ladies and gentleman :D
She's plumping up very nicely!!!! She''s looking like she's ready to catch a tiny bit of pollen. I'm thinking I'll hit her with a glob of pollen next week if it's ready by then. I think I'll pollinate one or two branches of her just for some fun. She's just getting her standard dosage of nutrients this week in PH balanced 6 water. Not too much to report while we wait for all the hairs to start plumping up into buds. I hope you guys and gals enjoy the fun pictures. Not too much else to say about her except she looks beautiful and I take back 1/2 my hatred of her. lol.
Welcome to week 5 and part of week six of flower :D
She's coming along pretty nicely. I'm still trying to get the hang of my new camera but I just haven't really had to time to sit down and take some amazing photos with it yet which will be changing next week. Her buds are thickening up very nicely and emitting an amazing lemony gas smell with a hint of fruit behind it. She truly does smell like a melding of Lemon Alien and Quantum Kush. I hope to take some very nice photos of her next week to give you all a really nice look at her interior canopy and structure. Until then enjoy these mediocre pictures for this week :D
Welcome to week 6 and part of week 7 of flower. They are in full flush now to get them ready for harvest. Who knows when they'll be ready for harvesting but judging from their parents genetics I'll be guessing around day 55 - day 60. Maybe a few extra day after day 60 but the trichomes will tell all. She's starting to get a lovely aroma but since my sinuses are clogged I can't seem to pick up what exact notes are in that smell, just that she smells good. I hope you all enjoy this week, sorry for the overly purple photos. My phone does not like the spectrum of this light all that much. I'll try to give some better pictures next week when I'm less sick. Enjoy.
Welcome to the end of week seven and part of week eight of flower.
She's been enjoying her flush so far. I know it's impossible to tell but the leaves on this girl are purple. Next week I'll actually take her out of the tent and take a photo of her under some different light so that you can actually see her true colors. Looks like grow diaries is messing with uploaded photos color spectrum washing out photos that are under purple lighting. I'm sure they'll fix it soon as I've addressed the issue hoping they'll take it seriously. Not too much to report as she's entering what I think will be her final week next week (I hope). The trichomes will tell all so it's just a waiting game until then. Enjoy some washed out photos :D
This beautiful girl is more or less done with flower. I'm just waiting to see a few more trichomes turn amber before I cut her down. She's so beautiful and I couldn't be more proud of her progress. I went from absolutely hating this plant and wanting to burn it to loving her colors and smell. I hope you all enjoy her colors and I can't wait to cut her down, trim, and dry her out so I can give you all a smoke report. I hope you guys enjoyed this fun little side grow. Cheers!

Happy Harvest Day!
Lemon Alien X Quantum Kush - Custom Breeder & Strain
I have to say she changed my mind about her the second she started turning purple-ish black at the end of flower. I was shocked that she developed those colors as neither of her parent strains have any of the colors she has. Thats the mystery of genetics and breeding. I must say though I am happy to have her out of my tent so that I can test on some new strains as well as begin flowering some other plants. She was a fun little experiment to say the least. I hope you all enjoyed.
