Here we have the end of week three and the start of week four of flower :D
Her nodes are getting very at and lovely, especially for her size. She's a tiny itty bitty bush with fat nodes on her and I'm starting to love her. I am contemplating either segregating her from my Ahsoka Tano when I pollinate her or even hitting her with some pollen to make another new strain to keep me busy this winter. I haven't made up my mind yet so we shall see. I hope you enjoy watching her develop.
Well folks, his or her first week is finally finished. Very strong growth from the plant in my opinion. You'd have to know how Lemon Alien and Quantum Kush grow to know what I'm talking about here but I'm more than happy to fill you all in. It is too early to tell if the plant inherited any of the Lemon Alien's traits (Grows very stocky. A short bush that almost looks stunted) but the plant most certainly has the early traits of the Quantum Kush (Grows like a weed. Gets very tall quickly and has a very robust root structure).
I've honestly never seen a 7 day, from seed, plant have roots that are beginning to show on the side of the small cup. It appears as though this breed is something very strong and I'm excited to see it flourish.
Stay tuned for more next week.
Hey this is amazing cross last summer i took my 4ft stocky tight node structure sap filled super lemony, lemon alien male and painted his pollen on my 8 ft fast growing sticky skunky fat budded 11 finger leaf quantum kush female. The cross is amazing. Very fast growing very fast flowering amazing Terpenes can take heavy nutrient feedings. 1 pheno very bubblegum skunk upbeat tall.Then 2 phenos of super lemony. One short very heady and body euphoria. The other tall big massive resin filled buds fast growing slower to flower 9 weeks super upbeat very energetic super hazy on the head forgetful but happy and giggly. I loved every one of them. I named the quantum alien lemons. And quantum lemon alien bubblegum. I have about 100 seeds and ill keep these prized creations for my best friends and special occasions I will always have one or 2 in my garden growing at all times. I only grew out 6 last year so there are more phenos I am sure to be discovered. 4 females 2males. Out of the 6. Hope you enjoy. Ps I have no idea where the bubble gum smell came from but it is amazing. You will love this cross. Enjoy!
@Jdscustomcreations, Your first comment is probably the most OG thing ever. Thanks for the tip. It's not a creation I figured anyone had have happen yet since the strains are so new. Nice to know I'm gonna grow some fire from it. Now I really hope it's a girl because I'll just mom the crud out of her if so.
@CANNASIM, I was very surprised. You never know what you are going to get when you accidentally cross two strains. If it's a male (fingers crossed it's not) the genetics will be very nice to just instantly put on an old favorite. It's fun playing with pollen, accidental or not.
@CANNASIM, I was intentionally horrible to this plant to try and get it to show me it's sex the entire time I was vegging her. She was a feisty girl but after a little over a week of 12/12 and some very aggressive topping and defoliation she finally showed herself. Now that I know what she likes and how she behaves the clones I cut from her will be exquisite and grown at a much faster pace.
@DabCrab, I took these at the end of 3rd week flower (so don't keep the mother) and it took about 7-10d before ANY roots (I mean opening the rockwool to see root sprouts) as opposed to 3-5d for vegative clones. Plan is to reflower 4 weeks after cutting for perpetual harvest every 6-7 weeks. See my clone diary for more.
@Tazard1, Oh the cloning. I typically make a dozen clones or more and then keep the best six or so. I do enjoy cloning though. Its an easy way to shave off a few weeks depending on the size of the clones you cut. I need to make a new giant mom to cut beefy clones off of.
@Bigpun, Thanks buddy. I feel like I have a lot to show from this the next time I breed a new strain. I'm thinking I'll be doing something very interesting next time but I haven't quite made up my mind yet for my next breeding. I'll have to think on it for some time...... I'm thinking about trying to get some Alaskan Thunderfuck and breeding it with a Grandaddy purple. Though I don't know how to get pure versions of either of those strains so I'm just going to keep thinking on it.
@Teamdirtbag2, Honestly it's like a fruity piece of candy that turns into a kushy after taste. It's weird and hard to pinpoint an exact flavor. She does look crazy beautiful though. Doesn't she.
@erica01920, Thanks buddy. I had an undying hatred for this strain the entire time I grew her up until I say them at their last two weeks of flower. I'd have changed a lot about growing her if I had another go at her. She did turn out absolutely beautiful though. :D
@Tazard1, Lol, That'd be nice :D
Who knows what'll happen with this plant. I have zero expectations for it seeing as I don't like it in the least bit. She's an utter disappointment in my opinion. An uncontrolled breeding accident. Oh well, I'll try to have you optimism about 6 - 8 colas ;)
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, IF she does anything good in that time, yes. Otherwise it's more vegetation for her. She's mostly a side project that I'm not too terribly interested in anymore. It's always fun to grow something new and strain but she's still an accident that I wouldn't have made on my own if I had the choice. I'm probably gonna flower her next to my Ahsoka Tano after I'm done pollinating her. Stagger them about a month apart. We shall see though... The plant is the decider here, not me. Lol
@autopassion, That'll be interesting. It'll be difficult to find a good rederalis male to breed into your female. You'll have to let me know when you start so I can help if you need any at all or even follow along so I can watch all the fun :D
