Let's go! I'm hyped for the next round and bought some nice genetics by Mephisto :) she's definitely outpacing a plant by Sensi that I'm growing in the exact same conditions a lot already. Let's see where this goes!
She's going along nicely. Im trying something new and fim her right after the last picture. Stay tuned for the next week. I don't have much time right now so unfortunately not many pictures for this week and the next.
This week I tried a new technique, fimming. It seems to work out well so far with a quick recovery and rapid new growth.
I'm happy she is growing well and started giving a bit of additional feeding (the soil already contains nutrients, it's just tomato soil from the store). Looking forward to her progress from now, I'm just gonna let her do her thing now and stop disturbing her (okay maybe some leaf tucking?)
She exploded in this week. I was gone for vacation and she reached all the way up to the light, probably grew 35cm just this week. She's got a light sunburn in the tops, I hope it won't be a problem.
She's definitely a big plant now, let's see how long she keeps growing. She's also starting to smell now.
She started flowering this week. Already so far after exploding in growth last week 😀. She seems to be doing very well, I lightly defoliated her in the bottom area but otherwise I'll just leave her be. She doesn't have a very dense foliage anyway.
Also, she got an upgraded light! 100watts of mars hydro ts600 from now on.
Ah well, now I have a problem. I left the plants for 4 days again due to a tight schedule and suddenly they seem to have developed some deficiency. The buds are still shaping up nicely but her leaves are really suffering.
I think it's a magnesium deficiency. The temperature outside dropped quite dramatically and since the room is not heated the temps in the grow box dropped by 7-8 degrees which probably didn't help. I'm buying a magnesium fertilizer asap and hope that I can save all newer leaves, since this plant doesn't have that many leaves anyways.
Yeah something is really bad and the worst part is I'm not 100% sure what it is. I'm starting to think that it's a nitrogen deficiency as well which would explain so many leaves turning yellow. I'll start feeding some nitrogen along with the calmag. I'm still going slow as I definitely did some nutrients overkill in the past on this plant.
Other than that, the buds are shaping up nicely. I just hope she'll survive this and start doing better by next week.
Ah it still got even worse. I upped the nitrogen and I feel like for the last 3 days it helped. Let's see how it continues. The buds are still looking decently, so that's nice. In the end, the leaves aren't what I'm trying to nourish but it's still sad that I messed this plant up when it was so healthy 3 weeks ago. Anyways, on to the next week and I'll try to keep her healthy.
She's still looking pretty awful but she recovered alright. So I hope it will be enough to bring her to the finish line and have those buds shape up nicely!
She's coming along well. Have I said that she smells amazing? The smell transformed in the last two weeks, she started out skunky funky and cheesy (like, really cheesy) but now turned more sweet and like cream. It will be really interesting to see what it's like finished.
There are tons of small buds across the plant and some nice bigger ones on top :)
One more week. She's extremely frosty and bulked up in the last week. Next weekend it's chopping time!
I'm happy that she survived until now and I'll be watering only without nutrients for the last 7 days. So she'll probably look very rough when harvesting, but that's ok.
I love how she turned out and I'm happy with the plant and the grow so far. I'm having some problems with the humidity but it seems to be good enough that no mold is forming.
It's harvest time. I'll update after a few weeks of drying + curing.
She smells good. Really different from the other plant I grew (it was afghan pearl by sensi seeds). Hard to pin the smell down exactly. I'm curious how the smell will turn out after drying. She's so frosty and has tons of small buds all over.
It's a wrap. The plant is not huge but I'm very happy with the outcome. It resulted in 20 grams of dry bud which is probably not much to some people here but plenty for me :)
The smell is good and sweet, my first taste and try was very nice. I'll let it cure for some more weeks and update the entry then.
