Ok so far I've done absolutely bugger all , Popped seed into a peat pod in a cup of terra canna professional pro soil with perlite , went on holiday over Christmas for 5 days came home too seedlings that where about 3 inches above the peat pod , I then transferred them into 10 gallon fabric smart pots , in an 80cm X 80cm tent under a kingbo dual lense optical LED one is there 900watt but doesn't draw more than 400watts from the wall so let's call it a 400watt and there 600watt light that draws 200watts , I cannot recommend these lights enough and they really do give fantastic results for the budget price , The first week I just wet the soil with non pH water once then didn't even look until week 2 , then week two I added house and garden A & B soil feed at qaurter the strengh recommend by them for the first week of veg , and they seemed too respond well but slow devolpment as you would expect for a 2 week old seedling , on week 3 I have added alittle more feed too half the recommended amount from house and garden and I will now be staying at half strengh , my temps have been at 22c lights off and 24c lights on , I am growing on a 20/4 cycle , week 3 they have got into the full swing of veg growing at least one or two nodes / set of leaves every 24 hours , the nodes are very tight together leaving no room too try and lst the tops down so I won't be doing that this time , I have been feeding every 3 too 4 days so far and with abit of luck that will stay that way for abit , as the least I need too un zip the tent the better for me lol , I have never really worried about pH and maybe that will be my down fall , but maybe not , I have just got some pH test strips so will test my feed bucket and the run off from the pots and then decide if I need too get some pH up and down , but hopefully not as I like it as simple and as little effort as possible ,if I can just open the tent once or twice a week that's enough for me , I focus on the amount of nutes and temp and let them do there thing as much as possible , I will keep updating this post as I go along with any issues or just too say how fantastic they are doing , Thanks for reading ;)

Hey there , the best way you can determine when your plants are ready to harvest is to watch the trichomes . You cant really see it with the naked eye unless you have had tons and tons of practice . The best way you to see them would be through a portable microscope or a magnifying glass that is atleast 10X or stronger . You can get both items from your local grow shop or you can search amazon for them . They are pretty cost friendly here are some links to a couple items , portable microscope = https://www.amazon.ca/Carson-60X-120X-Lighted-Pocket-Microscope/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=portable+microscope&qid=1551435970&s=gateway&sr=8-5 and the magnifying glass = https://www.amazon.ca/Fancii-Lighted-Slide-Pocket-Magnifying/dp/B019UYLIYI/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3VD6RFOJ21I9G&keywords=magnifying+glass&qid=1551436039&s=gateway&sprefix=magnifyin%2Caps%2C168&sr=8-1-spons&psc=. Both of these items or items simular to them will help you see the trichomes . Once the trichomes are 15 % amber 75 % milky and 10 % clear thats when I would take them down . You dont wanna wait too much longer then that as the longer you wait the more chance you have on running the plant until the potency starts to decline . I hope this information helps you understand "when" you should harvest as well as the factors needed to have a good harvest . -Happy Growing !

I will have too make a hole in the proper pots and cut the plastic pots off around it so I don't disturb the fragile roots ,

I got a free seed of this genetic when I ordered a bunch. I'm about 7.5 weeks into the grow. She's about a meter tall with lots of flower sites starting to bloom. She seems to be thirstier than the rest of the plants I'm currently cultivating. She'll let you know once she's a few weeks older. The leaves will droop and look really sad but perk up after watering. I'm using roughly the same size pot as you and find I have to give them half a gallon every 3 days. The other thing I notice is after about 14 hours under the lights the leaves droop as well. I'm also going light on nutrients. I'm using 1/4 strength of what is recommended. Fast Buds recommend an 18/6 lighting period which I'm doing under a 315w ceramic metal halide light. I wish you the best of luck with your grow and I'll follow along for the ride!

I gave her a fresh water feed yesterday , i will give her just water every few feeds too use up any nutrients left in the soil in the hope too avoid nute burn and keep her as healthy as possible , but so far so good , Still not doing a great deal to they lady's and only opening the tent twice a week , Just letting them do what they do on there own ,

I just put them in a peat plug before I went on holiday for Xmas for 4 days and came back too this , the fabric smart pots arrive tomorrow so they can go into there real pot then , but yea they have certainly shot up , I also planted fast buds blackberry but that didn't germinate , I put another one of those in a few days ago so fingers crossed for that one ,

@Sgtoso, I like the head high over lock but I am in no rush so they can have another two weeks if needed
Sgtoso
Sgtosocommented6 years ago
@LockDownGrow, Mine's going to need a minimum of 14 days drying and 21 days curing. I'll let you know when I post the harvest update.

@LockDownGrow, Depends on what kind of effects you're looking for. Most folks agree that 10% amber is the way to go. Personally, I prefer 15-20% amber for more of a body high. If you're only at the cloudy state it will be at least a week to go, maybe a few days longer. Happy gardening!

mate those purple stems , not liking those, plants need micro nutrients to make flowers, and it looks like cali snow and the others are starting to miss their magnesium and maybe also calcium, brother. throw in some micro nutrients, cal mag in the mix next 2/3 waterings, should do the trick, very critical phase you're entering in now, you dont want to have deficiencies at this point 🚀

LockDownGrowcommented6 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow, it's only the leaves stems that have gone purple not the stems of the plant , and I thought that was completely normal and a sign of a mature leaf ??
LockDownGrow
LockDownGrowcommented6 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow, the blackberry is drinking 8 pints of nutes every 3 or 4 days and sucking the pot dry

@LockDownGrow, 👌 good good, then it means they're hungry for it like no other 👊

you oxygenating your water eh ?
LockDownGrow
LockDownGrowcommented6 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow, yes M8 I have two air stones in there running 24/7 it keeps the feed fresh and movjng and the plants love oxygen on there roots and allows the feed too last longer without use ,
