Ok so far I've done absolutely bugger all ,
Popped seed into a peat pod in a cup of terra canna professional pro soil with perlite , went on holiday over Christmas for 5 days came home too seedlings that where about 3 inches above the peat pod , I then transferred them into 10 gallon fabric smart pots , in an 80cm X 80cm tent under a kingbo dual lense optical LED one is there 900watt but doesn't draw more than 400watts from the wall so let's call it a 400watt and there 600watt light that draws 200watts ,
I cannot recommend these lights enough and they really do give fantastic results for the budget price ,
The first week I just wet the soil with non pH water once then didn't even look until week 2 , then week two I added house and garden A & B soil feed at qaurter the strengh recommend by them for the first week of veg , and they seemed too respond well but slow devolpment as you would expect for a 2 week old seedling , on week 3 I have added alittle more feed too half the recommended amount from house and garden and I will now be staying at half strengh , my temps have been at 22c lights off and 24c lights on , I am growing on a 20/4 cycle , week 3 they have got into the full swing of veg growing at least one or two nodes / set of leaves every 24 hours , the nodes are very tight together leaving no room too try and lst the tops down so I won't be doing that this time ,
I have been feeding every 3 too 4 days so far and with abit of luck that will stay that way for abit , as the least I need too un zip the tent the better for me lol ,
I have never really worried about pH and maybe that will be my down fall , but maybe not , I have just got some pH test strips so will test my feed bucket and the run off from the pots and then decide if I need too get some pH up and down , but hopefully not as I like it as simple and as little effort as possible ,if I can just open the tent once or twice a week that's enough for me , I focus on the amount of nutes and temp and let them do there thing as much as possible ,
I will keep updating this post as I go along with any issues or just too say how fantastic they are doing ,
Thanks for reading ;)
@haftanara,
I calibrate mine everytime i use it , so should be as I calibrate it , wash it with distilled water then put it back in the test solution too make sure it reads what it should
@LockDownGrow, I probably should take it a bit easier. Looks like we got the same PH meters, hope yours is calibrated correctly because with my meter PH 5 means 5.7. I suppose the plants wouldn't look so good if it wasn't π
Nice setup its a little tight but it'll do π Have you thought about starting in a smaller pot and transplanting? It would make watering easier as well as give more space. Downside is Auto's don't like transplanting so maybe just with the photoperiods.
very tight but hey I don't need floor space so the more root space the better I guess and year autos don't like being transplanted , so thought I would give them as much root space as poss , it's only an 80cm square tent , so 4 10 gallon pots fill it , I am hoping they as small and compact as the photos I've seen of the strains , and if I do a photoperiod plant I would only do one in there ,
I gave her a fresh water feed yesterday , i will give her just water every few feeds too use up any nutrients left in the soil in the hope too avoid nute burn and keep her as healthy as possible , but so far so good ,
Still not doing a great deal to they lady's and only opening the tent twice a week ,
Just letting them do what they do on there own ,
@GreenHouseLab, they are out in the shed hanging with oil radiators in there , it fecking stinks lol I've left them on the branches and sugar leaves too make sure I get a nice long dry and then as long as I like cure as I do not sell a crumb of what I grow I turn it all into medicine for my self so from these 4 plants will very likely last me 12 months
@GreenHouseLab, thanks , I don't sell it so any bud leaf I just pick off as I pull out a bud , I am not going too complain about it lol and leave dried and cured on protects the bud until I pick that bit up ,
