Not much amber yet, kinda seems ripe enough to start thinking about flushing on wk10. can't really tell from crappy pics, but I promise there's some thiccness hiding under the first layer This hobby would get much more enjoyable soon as I find ways to keep PH somewhat stabilized. doesn't take too many hours of +-1 ph to show on leaves. list for next grow: ro water, better ph down, rootguard/orca, wider airstone and container and some circulation. dutch bucket method seems like something worth trying in future

I know there might be millions things causing these but maby this is some common problem with hydro? Do things like this usually come along with root problems or have i messed up some other obvious thing? Other details in weekly/pics

hi there Haftanara, i can confirm that it's surely not N toxicity which you can from dark green leaves and glossy shine. It's not calcium problems which are more "spotty" and it's not magnesium which is more uniform around the edges of the leaves. It's could be PH fluctuations , certainly it looks exactly like it, but what i do think it is, is root problems that look like pH fluctuations because we're also seeing that leaf cupping and leaf curling ... and, you know... brown roots ! so what you can do is get something like some hydroguard, up the enzymes a lot maybe up to 2 , 2.5... or what i think will help the most is a technique called root pruning. Root pruning is when you cut all the unhealthy roots off, carefully. This technique is very effective at stimulating growth, so you'll actually see faster and more vigorous growth ! what you do is simply cut off any brown dark brown roots, until there are none left or until a maximum of less than 20% of the total root mass... then wait and see how great it helps ! you can repeat this once a week once every 10 days, up to you and up to the plant, but you wont be stunting it's growth, on the contrary, the plant will thank you for it ! does this make sense ? hope this helps ! 🚀

There's some purple hue thing going on, think thats another nitrogen / ph lockout kinda thing, pheno or is this the kind thing to happen when you keep temps sub 25C? I did give it fairly sturdy bloom and perhaps little too much micro hence the burns

Looks like its normal i just would wait and maybe lower the ph a bit (5.5 - 5,8ph) . Some strains get/are purple/viloet/red/black or whatever (ww not really 😅). In the other hand plants turn purple at flower stage if the night temps drop (depends on strain how low, but in my experience normaly at about 15C° and strain which like it warm already starts sometimes at 20C°. Your PH can you geh down with a good ph down product. Take water, check ph, add ph down if necessary and mix it, wait some time and check ph again. Do it till your ph fits. (Ps the wait Time after adding ph down befor checking ph is important, so everything geh really mixed.) I use lemon juice to get my ph down, but im growing on soil and i dont know if lemon juice keep the ph stabil with hydro. Good luck ✌️

Hey man, the grow is looking awesome! I'm switching over to DWC in a few months so this journal is a perfect example for me to look at. I'm also thinking of switching from a 250W MH/ 400WHPS to a 315W CMH set up for a 3x3 area. From using it yourself, what do you think of it in terms of performance, and what area do you think it would be best in?

@Tried_and_Tested, I mean the 315W is perfect size for small space such as mine and I don't see reason to switch away from these anytime soon. I'm considering of upgrading it to 630W next with better, adjustable ballast to have that extra when the temps allow it. Philips bulbs have been recommended a lot (best PAR/efficiency) and they probably are the best since they invented CMH bulbs. Light penetration also comes down to quality of reflector and how it focuses the light so those are something worth looking into. As for DWC, you can't let the solution get warm or it's game over real quick. You're gonna want something to keep that chilled and do it manually if you have to. My next grow is gonna be with photoperiod and we're gonna find out what you can really do with just 300 watts of full spectrum light. hopefully you got some answers here, good luck with your grow aswell!

I love seeing a new grow start on this site. I can't wait to see what methods you employ to grow your plants and I look forward to checking back in to see how things develop. Best wishes my new friend.
