Divine Kush Trial

Shooey Well Divine sent me these seeds to try out for their contest. Since it was out of season here I waited a while to sprout em. Unfortunately it has been underwhelming with ongoing issues early on. No germination for auto deadryder. 1 of 2 for auto Escobar and that one is missing a cotyledon leaf for some reason 1 of 3 from Hindu Kush, and that one is missing half of its cotyledon for some reason. 1 from 2 of Kabul, and that one is growing leaf but no height or rooting!! 1 of 1 OG Kush which seems to be going ok. So I will hopefully get 2 Kush from all this and diarise them. I won’t go in the contest cos to be honest these have fallen flat for me so far. Hope you guys are all well since last season. Shooey Doing better now A bit of a heatwave this week with record winter temps of up to 32 degrees Celsius. The plants like it. I'm suss on one or 2 still but both the Kush plants are on

Shooey Stretching away right on time. All seems in order for some quick buds. Both Kush are healthy and strong. Auto Escobar is a bit slow so he went in the garden bed. I’m experimenting with a heap of auto seeds planted in the ground, will see how they go.

Shooey Nice weather and the plants are doing well. OG is budding away and Hindu has just started. Various autos in the garden bed have sprouted, I’m keen to see how they do straight in the ground

Shooey Well and truly into the business end now with some nice smell and even red hairs coming through. The Hindu is in stretch and looks like a legit Kush. Full indica, thick stem and really precise even growth which I always see as a good predictor of quality. Others all doing well. I’m excited about my garden bed full of autos. Keen to see how they go in the ground with no disturbance to their environment. I’ve never tried it before.

Shooey A minor setback this week when strong wind blew a plastic chair into the plants!! 2 branches were damaged but by miracle none broke off. They are hanging down but still seem to be alive. Strong growth despite average weather. Hindu looks a cut above with its thick stem and sturdy structure. Sadly I’ve turned to medical cannabis until my plants are ready, I wish they would hurry up cos it costs a fortune and it’s shitter than mine!

Shooey 7 weeks for Hindu and 8 for OG. Coming along well. Great smell especially at night. Garden of autos is on fire. Planting in the ground seems to bring out the best in them. I might reconsider ditching anutos and have a proper go at this next year.

Shooey OG Kush and Hindu are now 9 and 8 weeks old respectively. They are packing it on. With lots of storms around they need to be watched. Hindu is sturdy but I have already picked the odd tiny caterpillar grub off, and had just a tiny bit of dark discolouration on one bud underneath after the rain, which I carefully removed. OG got soaked in a rainstorm and its lower branches have that limp look while it’s drying out. Its branches are thin and not sturdy like Hindu. They both smell unbelievable. For all my germination issues with divine, I’m confident their Kush is the real deal. The big surprise is my garden bed of random autos. All were freebies and all have performed measurably better than any I have done in pots before. Not so much taller but so much wider and branchy. It’s incredible how much more the lower and middle branches have grown in the limited veg time. This must be because of the environment, with zero disturbance. I’m gonna do another diary to show them finish off cos that garden bed is gonna look epic chock full of fat buds

Shooey At the pointy end now, the OG has almost had enough. Hindu is just so pretty to look at, both Kush are really nice. Garden of green continues to power. I did a neem soak after finding a few grubs in there. Looks like I might need to make it a weekly thing when growing in ground. All good! 👍

Shooey At 11 weeks OG Kush is done. This will be the last write up before harvest, as the Hindu is almost done too. Smells and colours are great so far, I really hope it delivers in the end. Garden of autos is going great. Definitely gonna have a proper go at this with better quality seeds

Shooey I can’t believe I’m giving this an 8 after all the hassles with the seeds. I could only manage a couple of decent ones in the end, with many not germinating. That said, the OG belongs on the top shelf. One of my favs for sure. Great Kush smell and taste, but it must be the WCOG lineage which gives it the bang. Smooth, strong and long lasting. Great taste, really just top quality, all the boys agree! Thanks Divine for sending these, My “honest” takeaway has been the seeds are fussy so you can’t really do one at a time, rather a hand selection process. This is inconvenient and expensive, BUT… it’s the real deal. Authentic smells and flavours, smooth and classy and in the end, absolutely worth it. Top shit

Shooey Hindu Kush came out exactly as I imagined. Stocky with dense sticky Kush smelling buds. Yes a few issues with bugs and rot but nothing unexpected. Excellent smoke and awesome taste, just a notch below the OG though. Thanks for the beans Devine
