Hello everyone π€π€, it's me again, the City FarmeR, as you guys can see, I don't give up, lmao
Well I haven't had enough money to order some good genetic seeds yet, but I had a buddy come by and bless me with a bunch of beautiful looking seeds, they look just like the ones on the internet, most of them are huge with spots and stripes, I couldn't wait to start some off.
I took 15 of the smallest and ugliest looking seeds in the bag (I saved the best looking ones for another date) out of those 15 seeds 13 of them sank the first day of germination in the cup, after 18 hours in the cup of water I put them in soaked paper towels, after 3 days 13 of them had opened and most where about 3/4" long.
As per instructions in the Technaflora recepie for success kit, I added 1/2 tablespoon of B1-Red to 1 litter of water and soaked my pellets, after the pellets opened up I removed them from the mix and planted my seeds
After per instructions, I added 1 tablespoon of the B1- Green to 1 litter of water after I was done with it I decided to dilute it some more, so I'm actually using 1 tablespoon to 2 litters or 1/2 gallon of water, I used this mix to spray the seedlings down and I also sprayed the cover of the greenhouse with it
After 6 days they where way to tall for my green house, so I had to move them, I got some Miracle Gro seed starting soil, some plastic cups and a pocket tool
I used the poke tool to made drain holes in the bottom of the cups, then I put some dirt in the bottom added my seedling balls and covered them with dirt, I don't know if many people do this but I added plain water to the cup till water started draining out and I taped them down till all the bubbles where out of the dirt, after that I sprayed the plants down with some more of the B1- Green mix, I also sprayed some in plastic sandwich bags and put the bags over the cup like a little dome ππ, this is something I wanted to try, so I hope it helps ππ
After all was said and done, I have 8 out of 15 that are growing, that's about half of them, I guess that's good for free seeds, lol
I'm going to call these regular seeds since I don't know what gender they are, I'm crossing my fingers there a few females in there π€π€ lol but I'm going to say if I get males even tho I'm just beginning, I might keep 1 so I can collect the pollen and grow my own seeds for next summer, since I'm always on a budget I'm thinking regular seeds is what I want to grow so I only have to buy them once, lol I'm hoping this works, you guys will be in this with me
Today was the first day they went under the light, so we'll see what happens with this grow, thanks for reading my diary and see everyone next week, have a happy New year πππ€π€βοΈβοΈπ€π€ππππβοΈβοΈπππ
Happy growing and happy new year πππ i think you should move your light closer to the girls it should be arround 6inch(15cm) from top with T5 lights πππJust saying
@Silky_smooth, really?? That's good to know, I'm planning on building my grow area this week and that's good info for light and plant placement, and thats something I haven't done any homework in, lol, thank you
Still thinking your lights are to far from plants i use to grow with 200w cfl and in veg i kept them abouth 10cm away from top plants and in flower as close as 8 ππ mean no Harm but iβm growing for about 20years now and 13 of them i have grown with t5 and cfl and i had harvests of 85 to 100 pp so i pretty much know how to with cfl but you know sometimes its hard for a dude to take advise from a lady but feel free to ask around βοΈβοΈππ
@Silky_smooth, they really like there new home tho, I know when I'm done it will be good, even tho this is only my trial run while I finish my grow room, I would still like them to turn out good, and who said growing had anything to do with male/female? You have definitely been doing this longer than me and I would be a fool not to take advise from someone who has experience... I am happy to be able to talk to people just like y'all, thank you everyone on growdiaries βοΈβοΈβοΈ
@Silky_smooth, I did, I tried it, I had them about 9" inches away but they started developing some spots and drying on the leaves. I don't know if there's a difference between t5? The one there under is a t5 ho, supposed to be pushing 20,000 lumes
@HighTV, thank you, I hope to impress everyone with my skills this time, I just need to get my grow area dialed down, I'm used to growing outdoors, lol
