The Gorilla Cookies Autos were growing really fast. Cbd crack was a bit slower in growth but that‘s fine as I‘ll move her to the balcony later and don’t need much yield out of those.
The mango smile seeds arrived earlier this week and germinated after 4 days. I topped the Gorillla Cookies and began with LST. They were growing really fast and I already saw first signs of flowering on both.
The gorilla cookies growth is exploding and I had to defoliate the lower growth to keep the humidity within in the tent at least to some extent within acceptable ranges. Now it’s mostly between 65 and 70 and no matter what I do I cant get it significantly lower. The room where the grow tent is located has a humidity of 50 to 55% and the vent is running at max speed.
Besides that I installed a net to keep the Gorilla Cookies in their space and leave some space for the mango smile to grow in.
On the Mango Smile I started with LST but failed and almost broke the main stem. Will give her some time to recover from my harsh treatment now. 😄
11.09.24 I topped the mango smile and got back to LST with her. She is already showing signs of preflowering. Could have let herself more time with that for my taste. 😄
Both Gorilla Cookies are still doing great and yesterday I fed them the first time with half of recommended do of flowering fertiliser plus some boosters.
16.09.24 I defoliated the Gorilla Cookies on the right a bit too much on Thursday. I hope this doesnt hurt yield too much. The other Gorilla Cookies is in great shape tho and is still streching. I don’t want to raise the LEDs too high to let the other plants also get their fair share of the light. Hopefully the Mango Smile will stretch a lot to get more light.
18.09.24 Gorilla Cookies on the left is still stretching and I really hope she is done soon. :D I elevated the Mango Smile a few days ago so she doesn’t get overshadowed completely.
25.09.2024 The Gorilla Cookies on the left is still stretching. But stretch seems to slow down and she should be done soon. As the other Gorilla Cookies wasn‘t stretching this long she is a bit ahead wirh flowering. I should be able to harvest her one week earlier and get some much needed space into the tent by then.
The Mango Smile is now full in stretch and us giving her best to catch up.
28.09.24 Both Gorilla Cookies are showing brown spots on the upper leaves. Especially the taller one. Not sure what it is. If it would only show on the the taller one Id say lightburn but this shouldnt be the case on the smaller one as she has enough distance to the the lights. Measured runoff of both and both were at ~6.4. For now I‘ll take it easy on nutes and hope it doesn’t get worse.
02.10.24 The Gorilla Cookies on the left is getting more and more of those brown spots. Didnt feed her any nutrients for over a week now. I might have misread those brown spots as some sort of excess. Research showed that she actu might have an phosphorus deficiency so I returned to plagrons feeding schedule and started to mix in green sensation which contains a lot phosphorus. Hope she will recover.
The other plants are looking more or less good and the other Gorilla Cookies buds are getting bigger and bigger. The Mango Smile had a really good stretch so I dont need any additional elevation for her.
09.10 After the problem with the brown spots on the Gorilla Cookies on the left did get worse I decided to flush with 60l auf just ph‘ed water. Runoff ph tended towards 7 when I poured the first liters in and ended up at around 6.4. After the soil was dry again I fed her again but took a lighter dosage.
The other Gorilla Cookies does also have some brown spots but not nearly as much as the other one. I went here also easy with nutrients and it didn’t get worse for some time now. I think she needs 2 more weeks until I can harvest her.
The Mango Smile got the stretch I was hoping for and is now the biggest plan in my tent. Hopefully she is done soon though 😄.
16.10.24 The Gorilla Cookies on the right side of the tent is almost ready for harvest. I really have to hold myself back to give her one more week but I think it will pay out in the end.
The other Gorilla Cookies needs at least 2 more weeks as she started flowering a bit later.
Mephisto Smile is also doing great and is getting frosty already.
As you can see I chopped both Gorilla Cookies. The humidity in the tent got a bit too high and I didn’t want to provoke mold. So I decided to chop and trichomes were looking good. I absolutely love their smell. Especially freshly after chop it smells like chocolate cookies. I will update with final results once both are dried and cured.
The Mango smile does now have enough space and light to ripen and produce some nice buds. The smell was first really like mango but over the last week it changed more into a bit more cheesy direction.
I’ve got some problems with lightburn / bleaching on the upper growth as she got too tall and I cant move the lights further up. But so far nothing too bad I guess. Despite that she is looking great and I can‘t wait to see how she will look like in a few weeks.
01.11.24 The Mango Smile is doing great. I think the older growth shows first signs of a magnesium deficiency which I think is mostly due to the close distance to the led lights.
My plan is to harvest her in about two weeks but let’s see how the trichomes look by then. With only one plant in the tent the humidity is finally under control and I don’t have to rush harvest on this one.
11.11.24 I chopped the Mango smile yesterday. She is already smelling great and I cant wait to taste her. Will update with final results once she is dried and cured.
I‘m totally surprised by the yield out of this plant. She did have the least space in the tent as she moved in later. Smells great. The cheesy smell disappeared and she now has again a fresh fruity smell. Will update with smoke report once its cured.
