This is the end of week 1. First time grow. Plant on the right was a little stunted, I think due to the taproot curling before being planted in the soil. Plant on the left seems to be growing steadily every day! (L for Left, R for Right)
9/6 - Week 2 begins. Just a few pictures every few days so I remember to keep up on it. (L for Left, R for Right)
9/11 - End of week 2. Plant on the left looks good. Have barely watered the whole week, is that normal? Might top on 9/12 or 9/13, at least the left pot. Going to start GH nutrients next feeding. VPD increased from target of 0.8 kPa to 1.1 kPa.
So I decided to do some LST watching YouTube videos. Probably a mistake because I am honestly not sure where to go from here. Might just let them grow up now? For a first grow should have just let them do their thing. I also lowered the light this week after reading a bit online.
Week 4 down they keep growing. Started adding GH nutrients in a little bit higher concentration. Tested run-off and found the pH and TDS a little high so watered with some collected rain water with the pH around 6.0, TDS read around 50 in that water. Started to use the net for a day, then changed my mind as they weren't tall enough yet and it was a hassle, maybe later?
9/27/24 - Start of week 5! Had to upload a few pictures so I don't get confused on start date.
10/3/24 - The left plant has started to flower, right one just barely. Not sure what that one will end up doing, probably a week behind the other at this point.
End of week 6 and into flowering! Technically last week was probably flowering, but didn't feel like going back and changing it here. Keep forgetting to measure height and other things for the log, maybe next time.
It is the end of week 7. Nice development on both plants, love that the right one has finally caught up in height, they will probably be harvested a few weeks apart. Need to start looking into getting a drying tent in order since I won't be able to chop both at the same time.
Think I started to develop a little nutrient burn on the tips, but will continue on with what I am doing as far as nutrients.
Last time I trust autofocus because lazy...
Week 8 is going good, still some burnt tips but just letting it go. The smell is too much for the carbon filter to handle at times which is a good thing.
Need to start thinking about a drying setup as the left plant will definitely be done first.
End of week 9 looks to be getting close to done. Thinking 1.5 - 2 weeks based on trichomes and pistils. Got my drying tent setup, looking forward to using it.
That being said did maybe overdo it on nutrients this week. Watered today with just straight pH water.
Sorry for bad pictures, not sure what has been wrong with my focus need to get better at that.
This is the end of week 10, and possibly chopping this weekend. Removed the net last week and started to flush with just plain water. They seem to have stopped bulking up, and I think the trichomes are where I want them. The right plant might be a bit behind the left, but think they will both come down at the same time.
Ready to move on to the next grow, hopefully in a bigger tent.
Need some opinions if anyone reads these. Would you do Autopots or a DIY RDWC system? It will most likely be a 4 plant setup in a 4x4 or a 5x5.
Overall this was very fun and I have already started germinating my next 2 seeds. Trimming was by far the most time consuming but get a couple friends over next time and it shouldn't be so bad.
