Transplant day for both strains.
Transplanting into 3 gal fabric pots
I don’t top dress or use synthetic nutrients.
My mixture is:
Bottom 25% Subcool Super Soil recipe
Top 75% Coast of Maine Stonington blend soil mixed with Rice Hulls instead of Perlite.
Watering is through AC infinity auto water bases. Just fill the base and the water wicks up into the soil.
Topped once last week and again this week. Done with Topping
Placed Trellis net 8in above plant base - Ready for SCROG training.
First SCROG grow, only did LST before this.
Both plants have reached the net. I have started weaving the main tops to the edges of the net and will continue to do so until the flowering stretch ends.
RR - slow response from scrogging sessions. just needs more time
SLH - great response to SCRog. And stretching across the screen and shoots are starting to pop up.
RR - was getting very bushy , needed to do some defoliating to get some air flowing, also decided to LST some the branches down to force it to grow horizontally then vertically into the screen.
SLH - still growing strong into the screen. Continuing to tuck and weave the branches and shoots through the screen.
Well looks like LST ing RR worked well she is now growing into the screen and I have been tucking and weaving her into it.
SLH - doing good getting the screen nice n full!
Officially flipped to flower
Did some pruning and lolipopping under both plants and cleaned up underneath the screen of both girls.
Both girls looking good. Continuing to SCRog until flowering stretch is over. Starting to run out of room though.
May just leave it alone and last week of the stretch, super crop the tallest shoots back down to control the height and keep the canopy even.
Just a reminder I use a super soil recipe from transplant to harvest. So that is why the nutrients are not filled out.
Both plants are stretching up.
SLH is showing nutrient deficiency of cal - mag and maybe nitrogen.
Made a foliar spray comprised of:
1/8 tsp powdered silica
1/8 tsp Kelp it Real
2.5ml of Cal-Mag (yes it’s synthetic but I am unaware of an organic liquid source of cal-mag)
Spray leaves before lights off and soil daily .
Week 11 day 1:
The flowering stretch is coming to an end.
I left RR alone to do its thing.
For SLH it had a decent amount of shoots that were taller than the rest so I had to super crop some taller shoots and tie them down to control the height and keep the canopy even.
I am happy to report that I did not break any branches or shoots when performing the super crop so yay!
I did have to pinch one very stiff shoot with small needle nose pliers and a thin small towel but it worked out.
SCRogging in a 3x3 is not easy when you can’t get to the back :/
Now it’s all up to the plants to do the rest. I hope I can at least get more yield than I would when I did just LST. Super excited to see the buds develop!!!
Last day week 11: plants are doing good growing fast. New pics uploaded.
