No nutrients till now, will start in week 2-3 with it. She is growing beautifully and is starting to produce her second serrated leaf pair. She is a bit light-green right now, hope as the weeks continue she gains strength!
Beginning of week 2 arrived! Today I gave her some nutrients to make her strong and resistant. Still, she is growing beautifully and will make a great lady!
Waiting to see if she catches up with my other 2 plants that are around a week ahead.
Week 3 for my cute lady!
For her, I'm just going to use as little training training as possible. For my other diary I used more LST to expand the canopy and encourage the growth of more colas.
Reasoning behind this decision is to see what works out best for my setup. Besides that, I'm new to growing and testing different methods is beneficial to my learning. Seeing how these impact the result is good to know!
Week 4 baby! Overall she is doing great, maybe a little overwatered, but she needed the nutrients. I'm letting the soil dry out again, I've seen some fungus gnats in my tent and want to reduce their ability to spread.
Update Week 4:
She's become quite bushy. But as long as there is no immediate problem I need to tend to, imma let her grow wherever she wants.
However I am a bit concerned about the airflow disruption due to the leaves. Maybe I need to let her grow more vertical rather than spreading her beautiful leaves out like an eagle. Dunno. I'll wait for now.
Forgot to make a picture on D26 due to personal reasons. Also defoliated her on D27. She got a bit droopy till the end of Week 4. Probably due to overwatering / stress from the defoliation.
Week 5 and she is going into flower.
I noticed that she's beginning to stretch. All of her main-branches look good and have enough room to grow. She started late compared to my other plants but continued her growth over the last week. I'm so happy seeing her in her full glory! I did a final defoliation on day 33.
Week 6 for this lady!
She survived the defoliation and is now beginning her stretch. As she is quite young, relative to my other 2 ladies, her stem is a bit smaller for what I had hoped for. But still, she is doing great!
Also, I switched her light schedule to 20/4 and added an 1-hour long sunrise/sunset program to compensate for the switch from 18/6. Reasoning behind this is that I saw better growth overall during week 2-4 while on a 20/4 schedule.
Update Week 6:
Great week so far and I'm starting to notice the stretch in height. The bud-development is very limited and is probably gonna start in the next few weeks
Week 7 of this beautiful lady!
I noticed some deficiencies on the lower leaves. This led my to believe there is a small lack of nutrients in the soil, so I upped the nutrients I'm feeding with a factor of around x2.
This will give her the needed boost to kick into the bud-development stage.
Week 8 for this rather young but awesome lady!
She hasn't fully kicked into the bud development stage. Trichome production is almost minimal too. However I'm not concerned about that right now. I've seen lots and lots of diaries with Fast-Buds-Seeds starting heavy bud production in week 10-11. And I'm only in week 8!!
Anyways, she's doing good and only some of the bottom leaves are turning yellow. Probably due to lack of nutrients or low light absorption (in which case the plant kills off the leaves that aren't worth it)
Did a bit of defoliation that covered main bud sites light-absorption. But imma stop now until harvest, to not stress her any more.
Week 9 is starting!
To be honest, I'm not really sure why she's turning soooo purple. I cranked up the temp. during the night to about 21-23C° a few weeks ago, but it didn't change anything. I'm really interested finding out what's the root-cause of it. Anyone got any ideas?
Anyways, apart from the leaves changing colors, she is doing great! She gets her scheduled feeding about every 4-5 days now and is handling it very well. Watering until it's completely wet and letting it dry out takes about 4,5 days. I'm feeding just plain pH 6.5 water about every 2 watering to not overfeed this lady.
Welcome to Week 10, the double digits are starting!
She is still very late to bud and trichome-production, but this was expected with FastBuds seeds.
However I am noticing the colas getting more frosty every day. Bud production should start right around the end of the week!
She grew very evenly on all sides, which in this case is a bit of a problem for my small tent. It's not really built for 3 big plants + dehumidifier. But it'll work out, as soon as my Medusa F1 gets chopped at the end of week 11.
Also, I flushed her once with just regular old pH 6.3 water on day 65 to not overfeed her.
Hello Week 11!
Since then my tent cleared up a bit with one plant being chopped and now she finally has some room. Her purple pistol hairs turned orange in the last week and I'm noticing significant bud and trichome production.
If my predictions are correct, she's gonna be a heavy and thick plant by the end of week 14-15. I'm planning the earliest chop at the end of week 15. FastBuds seeds seem to behave quite slow but also producing some mayor buds.
From what I've seen, if she has enough soil to stretch her roots into it's eventually gonna turn into a great plant! As a matter of fact I have not used enough soil for this grow. Every 19l / 5gal pot is about half full and the roots from my other harvested plant looked pretty narrow and downwards-focused. Probably a combination of my bad watering habits in week 1-3 and the low amount of soil in the pots really decreased my harvest. Well, good thing I'm in for the learning experience!
Update week 11:
Now that she has a lot of space to grow her buds, it feels like she got a boost! She's doing very well and there are noticeable differences to before. She's drinking more, producing more and smelling more! Awesome!!
Hello and welcome Week 12!
If this growth continues, I'm in for a treat when it comes to harvest-time! She is doing very well and consuming water at an insane rate.
The bud density isn't quite here yet, but the expected size is coming along nicely!
If I'm honest, I think I'll scrap my next grow-plan and add another Gorilla Cookies into my tent. Well, only if the end-product is good but I'm sure it'll be!
Week 13 arrived!
She is slowly changing color and her buds are getting nice and big. Very nice! No problems at all!
If my prediction is right, she will have some heavy buds during harvest!
Update Week 13:
I've decided to chop on day 95-97. She is on the final stretch and almost ready. Her last pistol hairs are developing and she looks gorgeous!
Very sad to announce Week 14.
It's the final week and I'm quite sad. In the beginning she almost didn't make it through. But after 6 days of waiting for a seedling to pop out of the soil, she finally reached her arms into the sunlight. And now look at her. Arguably the best one out of the 3 I've planted. I'm sad to see her go but that's life.
Anyways, enough of this melancholic bullshit! She is a BEAST!!!! And she's going to taste amazing!
Harvest time.
On her last day she looked phenomenal and this beautiful deep purple color looks good on her! It's finally time to chop away at her and dry her. Very happy with the results!
