Popped 4 beans, 100% succesfully
Background information on strain:
Papaya Drip is a variety created by Nine Weeks Harvest by crossing between Strawnana x Papaya.
After many attempts, the breeder has managed to launch a variety in which the sweet papaya is the dominant one in the cross.
Its exotic aroma is reminiscent of ripe papaya, mango and pineapple, with a background of subtle earthy and spicy nuances.
An intense and irresistible variety for any grower, both new and experienced.
Zangria is an indica-dominant variety, created by the breeder himself through crossing between Thin Mint Cookies x The Original Z (Zkittlez).
Transplanted the sprouting beans to pellets, let them grow for a few days untill they were rooting nicely.
Once the roots were strong enough I transplanted them again to the hydropebbles as deep as possible to ensure a firm base and equal starting point.
3 pheno’s really took off from the start.
In week 2 I’ve topped them to slow down the height and create a even playfield.
1 pheno was a bit damaged at the roots during transplanting.
I noticed that the roots could not reach the water and started to dry out.
I’ve placed the netpot directly in the water and this really helped her build back the roots.
She is 1 1/2 week behind on the others in terms of growth.
But I’m 100% sure she will stick through to the end of this pheno hunt.🤟😁
Came back after a holiday and due to iron deficiency (PH was above 7.0) some leaves are colored and most leaves are droopy.
Refreshed the water immediately, will post update in a week. Hopefully it did not interfere too much with the flowering process.
Buds are starting to form properly for 14 days of flower.
No signs of hermies and a lot of signs of good genetics(even with the past deficiency due to holiday)
Changed the water and still approximately 6 weeks to go!
Next week I’ll add some PK13/14 to give it a nice midway boost.
When touching the sugar leaves a really sweet candy like terpene profile sticks to the fingers.
Looking forward to the end result
Buds are starting to smell, each pheno has it’s own characteristics.
Currently pheno 1 and 3 look the most developed with big buds.
Pheno#2 has a lot of leaves compared to the rest of the pheno’s but the buds look great.
Pheno 4 has a very small buds at the top, but the lower ones look similar in size. Allthough the size is lacking, the terp smell makes up for it.
From the look of the leaves I’m pushing the plants to their limits.
We are at day 47 of flower with about 2 weeks left to go.
The girls are looking really frosty and are smelling amazing.
