Hello and welcome. I will be growing 1 x Critical Orange Punch by Dutch Passion, which is a crossbreed between Grandaddy Purp and Orange Bud. It is then mixed with XXL Critical. I am going to attempt 1/2 lb. The plant will be in vegetation for about 6-7 week. I will be only using Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect Micro, Grow, and Bloom, along with beneficial microbes ONLY which will be from Great White and Hydroguard. I will be using a Coolworks temperature probe with temperature controller to have my solution temp between 67-70F. It will be grown in a 4x4x7 grow tent and I will be using the SCROG method using 1 x 500W viparspectra. The tent will house 1 circulating fan and 1 6inch ventilation suction fan. It will have its own dedicated 254 gal/hour air pump with 4 x 4 inch air stones. I only plan to adjust pH and refill res once every week (twice a week during flowering). That’ll be all. Thank you folks.
Transferred into a nice 5 gal bucket with 4 4-inch air stones pumped by a 254-gal/hr air pump. Currently it is under a 250W Marshydro LED. Grow space is 2x4x5 at this time but it will be transferred to a bigger tent in about a week.
Hello. What a change with her growth this week, she is exploding. My Gelat.OG x2 are struggling to keep up with her although I germinated them at the same day. I will clean out her solution sometime this week and give her fresh nutes. I also decided to keep this plant along with my Gelat.OG and Green Gelato all in this same tent sharing 2 x 200W COB/CREE LED lights. Indoor temp runs about 79-81F.
Hello, I apologize for the late update. It has been 10 days since the last update. Today is 1/30. I was running into some slight cal mag deficiencies so I had to add some cal mag from Botanicare. I thought I could slide by with just Advanced Nutrients' Trio brand but it seems like cal mag supplementation is a must. Current PPM is now at 250. I will change my resolution today for fresh nutrients. Temperature has been in between 77-81F. She's really enjoying my 400W truewatt COB/CREE. I've topped her once and have LST'd and topped the side branches as well. I will put up a scrog net in about a week or two. I am using Sony Alpha 6000 for pictures.
I started flowering my garden yesterday 2/10. She is starting to gulp water from thirst. I haven't had to refill water just yet but may have to since I put them into flowering. Ever since adding cal-mag plus, I haven't had any issues. Same with my roots, they are looking beautiful with no signs of infestation. I will take pictures for my next update. I am also using a scrog net which will help even the canopy out. I have another scrog net which will support the buds in the future. Temperature is averaging out at 79F during the day and 74F at night. Res temp averages around 74F.
2/17 This girl is growing so fast and so well. She's actually the biggest one out of 4. Just to re-cap, I am growing 3 different strains out of 4 plants. I have 1 COP which is the biggest plant in the garden. Then, I have 2 Gelat.OG by Seedsman which are positioned in the top and left of the tent. Lastly, I have Green Gelato by RQS which is the smallest plant (because I fucked up topping). Roots are amazing. Absolutely no discoloring. I am having to clean the solution more often than before, which makes sense since they're stretching now.
Sooooo... Bug change from last week. I will have to add another scrog net just for the Critical orange punch.. I can tell the bids will be very heavy on this one. She’s spreading wildly and growing very fast. I’m having to feed her twice every week or so.
3/3 COP is looking great. I should’ve grown her separately because 3/4 plants in the grow tent are indica dominant. I feel that she is the only one that is showing sativa dominant phenotype and is continuing to grow although budding has started. It worries me because I only have a few more inches of space to lift my lights before I may have to super crop her. She’s drinking about 2.5-3 gallons of water every 4-5 days. I also installed another scrog net.
3/11 She smells so fresh and dank. The buds are growing very well for week 5. She’s at her thirstiest time of the year... Emptying my 5gal bucket non stop. However, she seems very healthy, the roots are creamy only relying on beneficial microbes. No water cooler. I’m keeping her PPM at 500 and it is her sweet spot.
3/18 happy week folks! These buds are growing so well and now becoming hyper frosty and extremely dank smell. Res change every 5 days, with fresh nutrients, PPM still at 500. I’ve further raised my grow lights and I was able to do this by folding the 4 individual steel hanger and then hooking it up. Not sure why I didn’t think of this before and was always stressing about my vertical space. Temperature stays at 80 during the day. I also added a 125W viparspectra. Now the total light output is 525W. I believe she has about another 2 weeks to go; right at week 8, and I think I’ll be able to chop it down. I expect about 3-4 oz.
3/25 Hello and welcome. This week was a chill week, just focusing on filling the buds in as well as producing more trichomes. These buds look like 💎. Smell is ridiculously pungent. I have to fill the reservoir at least once every 5 days. But can someone tell me what is wrong with the leaves? I feel like it’s between nute burn and cal mag def? I may start flushing her next week for harvest because my wife and I are running out of buds to burn lol.
4/1 APRIL FOOLS! :D Welcome back folks. This week is an exciting week because today I have given her fresh RO water with no nutrients except it has been Ph'd to 6.0 and now getting FloraKleen to be flushed. I plan to flush for about 2 days and then give her Ph RO water WITHOUT FloraKleen for another day and then I will harvest. This plant grew very fast for me which I appreciate. One plant has taken over half the tent so I am thrilled to see what the yield would be. I think I can grow this strain MUCH better next time. Definitely respect Dutch Passion for its finest genetics. If you like the pictures, please give a like! :)
Hello mates and thank you very much for taking your interest in this diary. We have finally come to an end. I've actually harvested the plant on 4/2/19. She has grown in a 5 gal DWC bucket with a 254-gal/hr air pump with 4x4inch air stones. I had no temperature control. She was sharing a tent with 3 other plants (2xGelat.OG, 1xG.Gelato) that are in DWC under a 4x4x7 grow tent. Initially during vegetation, i used 2x200W COB/CREE LEDs. After preflowering, I've added a 125W Viparspectra LEDs which utilized about 525W to the walls. I am truly impressed with this girl. She was the fastest one to vegetate and it was so obvious. I've topped, LST'd and defoliated, that was it. 3.5oz is quite impressive in my opinion. Next time, I will do much better with her. I have about 5 more seeds and I will grow them later this year. On 4/2, we quickly trimmed the buds (didn't really care about the looks because it was for us) and then dried them for 4 days. They were then put it in jars with 62% boveda humidity packs. Thank you once again.
