Merry Christmas everyone! End of week 7 The kings are on Ripen and this week I'm flushing them and from there on only water, the lemons will soon be on Ripen too. Even though they say 10 weeks for the lemons, they already have completely milky trichomes, I think by the end of week 9, both strains will be ready. The king already has some amber here and there, and I know when it's ready by the look and smell because it's my favourite strain 😁 . The middle lemon, the one that's the most unstable in the middle, will probably be the favorite of the grow. Besides the unique smell, it turned quite purple, it just looks oilier than the others 😁 . The mites are still there, it's not getting any worse, but next time I'll be cleaner and with something preventative for sure. I manage to maintain good humidity and thank God, because with those buds resting on the tent, they could have gotten mould.😅

I have mites on one of the King's I'm starting week 7 of flower now and I don't think spraying is going to be the best decision. I've flushed my plants today, the other ones don't have spots on leaves. The sick plant is moved away form the others. Should I harvest it early or ?

Neem is getting banned in a lot of countries and is in mine. I would not be spraying it on the plants in general and specially in flower. You are going to smoke this yes??? don't add in neem. The active ingredient in neem is a suspected carcinogenic and has other issues with the reproductive system if I'm remembering correctly. Also spraying anything in flower is a no go extra moisture is bad for bud rot. and you want your buds as clean as possible as you will likely ingest some of that stuff you spray on them. I would be more along the line of wiping all the leaves with a bit of soap in water and just psychically removing as many mites as possible. and for next time, just a IPM option like predator bugs. or spray in veg before flip to flower.

I never saw a plant without pistils. I think this is very rare. You didn't take a cutting of the King's Juice? No pistils would mean this plant physically can't produce seeds, this could be very interesting for commercial growers:) It would be great if you could take a close up shot of the KJ in your next post!

@Dr_Doppeldecker, No I didn't. I never take clones because I don't grow non stop and just won't have the time. Also I try to grow new strains every time. Yeah no problem I will, you can even check out week 12, you"ll be able to recognise it, I have a pic of one of the tops.

In my experience it is worth the while taking your time and clean the webs off as much as possible, clean the leaves, no spray, no chemicals, just try to reduce the impact they're having on your plants. You should try to harvest early, they will stick around near the cuts sucking the sap while drying the first few days, once theyre dry and jarred they go away. Clean your grow space with bleach and water after harvesting. Try to keep your tents in positive pressure if odor isnt an

@Herbsmanington, Thanks for the advice man, I do pick the webs whenever I can and remove infested leaves. These days are colder and I see that they are moving kinda slower, and not infesting the other plants. Yeah I was thinking of straight up throwing the tent away as it is kinda old now, and not very stable plus the zippers are kinda leaking light inwardout and not Outwardsin which is strange. But yeah if i decide to keep it, I will go with bleach. The kings have another 2 weeks to go, but the trichomes are milky already, I'll see when to harvest, because the lemons are 10-11 week strains.

Looking good. Would love to see the slh x gmo at harvest. I had the kings juice a few harvests now, she tends to lack calcium great strain. Good

@Herbsmanington, Yeah King juice is my favourite strain to be honest, this is my 3rd time growing her now. Always have some spare seeds of it just in case, as this one was.😄

Well this is it for this grow, Im very happy with the result, despite the spider mites the total weight is 531 grams with 15 grams of popcorn, with the light at 65% power which is 411W, I managed to pass the 1gr per watt. Pity I didnt have a full tent with 9 plant, could of hit 700grams easy. Stay tuned, another grow is starting soon.'

Huge danger to dry that slowly in that high humidity if you have already seen some budrot. All the best for you 🍀🤞👌🙏

Hattiwatticommented15 days ago
@Spiral, yep... I try to dry my buds at 55 to 65 but if I find any signs of rot I wouldn't take a risk that my buds get moldy. In my opinion in that case is better to dry little bit faster in lower humidity. Your buds your choice 👌 there's not even that big difference do you dry them in 7 or 14 days if you just don't let them get too dry and cure in glass jars after that.

Spiralcommented15 days ago
@Hattiwatti, the bud rot is on the plant that is furthest from the oscilating fan. 55-60% is not high humidity for drying really, it ensures a slow dry which is best. 😁

I am currently at the end of week 8 of flower. I have 3 SLH x GMO in my tent. I got two different phenos. Two of them are super frosty and smell like lemon cheesecake with a funky twist. The other one is not as frosty but seems to finish faster. She smells like a dimmed down version of the other pheno. Sadly i can't smell any garlic or onion yet, but all plants seem to get funkier by the day while the lemon smell gets less. What do your plants smell like?
Spiral
Spiralcommenteda month ago
@Dr_Doppeldecker, Well this is the first time I'm growing a lemon strain, so I'm not really sure how lemony it's actually supposed to be. The smell is really sharp, and as you say keep changing as time passes. But they are all super frosy, so I'm happy for now.

I had the same problem that you had, of 10 seeds only 2 popped. The other ones died after developing a tap root. I wrote an email to Greenhouse and they instantly shipped me a refund of 10 seeds. Maybe try telling your problem to Greenhouse;)

@Dr_Doppeldecker, I don't think there is any point to this because i bought them 4-5 months ago, i've kept them in a fridge since then to keep them fresh, and they were fresh to be honest. Just somehting happened when I planted them😣
