Chocolate Mint OG is a super strong strain that produces 22-26% of THC. This 80% indica and 20% sativa strain was realized by crossing Emerald OG Kush with Granddaddy Purple. So this week had a lot of ups and downs. Unfortunately the Blue Dream did not make it. The growth was stunted for a majority of the week. One morning I checked and it was fallen over so I built up some soil to help her stand then she looked happy again. But just failed to continue to grow after that. One day I had my heater on full blast and checked a few hours later and it was like 115 degees in there not sure if that was it or not. Also, placed a fan directly towards the seedling to encourage strength the night it fell over. So I decided to pull the blue dream and just focus on one plant on this grow. Chocolate Mint OG is loving life right now. I did some tent modifications this week including, connecting my carbon filter and running the ducting through the attic so I can’t hear the loud fan when it is on. Pictures attached. Ordered some nutrients Gorilla Veg and Gorilla Bud. Also received my humidifier but in feel like RH is where it’s supposed to be without it. I think that’s it for this week, catch y’all next Sunday!
This week she started booming in growth! I gave her her first very small dose of Growrilla Veg. It’s a organic dry fertilizer made up of guanos, earthworm castings, fish meal, and other natural inputs provide a wide range of food sources for plants and beneficial microbes. I liked the NPK ratios on this one with the Veg at 5-4-2 and the Bud at 2-5-4. My little girl started emitting a scent this week. One thing I have to fix this week, is somehow my ducting for my carbon filter is getting filled with water. Must be the heat or humitdity, I don’t even have the carbon filter running yet as there is no need. I will let you know how I fix it. Also, dropped LEDs about a foot. So now it is like 36” away from the CMOG! I think that’s about it for this week. Planning on another smal dose of nutes this week.
This week was fantastic! Seen a lot of new growth! I transplanted her into a 3 gallon canvas pot, she seems to be loving it! I think I need to do a better job upping the PH for the water I’m letting her drink. I usually just give Poland spring strait up because it looks to be around 5 ph. I’m adding a bit of PH up now to her water, get it closer to 6.5. I had some issues with the leaves. Can anyone verify for me what kind of deficiency this is? Calcium or Magnesium? I pulled the leaves Incase it was bacterial or fungal. I also bought another fan for above the ES300 to blow cool air onto it, only runs when ES is running. I plan on starting LST and top her sometime this week. She’s really starting to explode now. Nodes are stacking nicely. Hopefully I can get this issue resolved. Can anyone tell me what deficiency is in that picture with the leaves called "What Deficiency?" From my own investigating.. I believe it to be magnesium deficiency, but your opinions are welcomed!
it s magnesium deficiency but not because of magnesium, because of the lights being too close. you can see that from the too short inter node spacing in the plant and the light burn on the leaves. If you move your light a bit higher, the temp will go down and hopefully the plant will recover. Hope this helps !
This week I witnessed some explosive growth yet again! She is really starting to bust out! She has adapted to the topping very well. This week I will start LST training her. Going to go another few watering before top dressing her again. She looks to have a lot of nutes in the soil. I received my 4 Kind Bar LEDs for supplemental flowering lighting adding another 100w to an already 315w LED. Will show that in next weeks update. Shoutout to @bulbi for fixing my magnesium deficiency. I did what he recommended raised my ES300 and turned down the brightness. Still only on about 70% power. Will progressively add a little more power as she matures. Nothing else went on this week. I plan on leaving in vegetation for 9-10 weeks. So got another month or so of veg. Then off to flower. This week was a normal week. No issues. Started to do some LST and Defoliation but decided not to follow through with the LST. I want the plant to get bigger in height. I have the ES300 only running at about 33% power if I turn it up higher seems like it’s too much for now. Will gradually keep feeling it out and slowly increasing power. This week I installed 4 of the Kind LED bars for supplemental lighting for when she is in flower. I placed them in each corner of the tent. When she goes to flower and looks like she can handle the extra juice they will be turned on. Supposed to help with resin production. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks for stopping by! Another smooth week for the CMOG. Just watering and watching. Will prob do another nutrient top dress with the Growrilla Veg this week after I find out what the spots on my leaves are. I took two clones from the CMOG to put in a veg chamber with my blue dream mother, might keep one clone as a mother plant. Doing some updates to the tent this week, will post next Sunday. Also planning on getting another 2x4 and another ES 300 so I can veg 4 plants at the same time I have 4 plants flowering in a 4x4 with two ES300s and 4 Kind Light Bars. Mid week update: Transplanted her in a 7 gallon fabric pot, and defoliated some big fan leaves.
A great week of explosive growth. I did some defoliation, and a transplant this week. Moved her from a 3 gallon fabric pot to a 7 gallon pot. Added some Growrilla Veg to the transplant mix. Plan on running her another few 2 weeks in veg. I have plans to flower her in my newly built almost operational 4x4 that will be complete with two ES300s and 4 3’ Grow bars by kind totaling 750w. And she will be in there flowering all alone. Hoping to see at least a LB from this plant. We’ll see this is still my first grow. Doing well so far! I got the Blue Dream mother continuing to grow in the other room, and took a clone of this CMOG to create a mother just for a few grows. Did some updating to the grow station. I now have a veg tent with 1 ES300 and a flower tent with 2. Will get my second ES300 this week and move her over. I don’t have anything for veg tent right now, so I haven’t made the 3rd light purchase yet. Thanks for stopping by! Almost time for flower!
Starting week 9! I’ve taken a bunch of clones so that’s why she looks lite. Having some issues getting roots to grow on my CMOG clones. Will be keeping this girl in veg until I have at least 4 rooted CMOG in my other tent. If you notice this plant is now in a 4x4 with two ES300s and 4 Kind 3’ Light Bars totaling 750w. All for one plant so she will be in veg for at least another few weeks until she fills up the tent more. She is only about 1/5 to the way of filling the tent. Another smooth weeks in the books continuing with minor fan leaf defoliation and taking clones. I have not been having great success with cloning but got one of those oxy cloners so hopefully that should help. The new clones already look better for longer so now if they can just root that would be great. Then I can get this flower show started. I think maybe next week will be the start of week 1 of flower. Dosed her with 1/3 cup of Growrilla Veg this week should have some good growth this week once the nutrients are activated. C y’all next week!
Update: Gave her 1/2 cup of Growrilla Bud in preparation for flower. First day of 12/12 will start tomorrow Thursday March 14th. Let’s see what happens over next two months!
Another smooth week! I stated feeding her Growrilla Bud planning on the transition into flowering stage. Was going to switch her on Tuesday but changed my mind. The cloning machine still has not rooted any. Slowly they are it’s been about 10 days so far. I obviously don’t have that dialed in properly but hoping the roots start. I’d like to have 4 of the CMOG clones planted in soil by the time I’m ready to flower. So ima veg this baby girl for another few weeks. Also have to get temperatures situated in my flower tent. At full blast with all the lighting it’s approaches 97 degrees. I ordered a 8” in-line fan to connect two my two tents to hopefully be able to pull that air out. I wanna be able to keep temperatures in the 70s at full blast. So we’ll see. Keeping up with the defoliation. Cya next week!
So I started the flower process! Nothing really went on this week. Was expecting more growth, but well see how second week of flower goes. Getting a bigger filter this week. 8” because at full blast she still gets to about 86 degrees. I want to be in mid 70s at full blast so got a stronger fan but have it diverted between two tents. 740cfm fan. But going to designate that full 740 to just pulling air out of my 4x4. 4” is not pulling enough air out. To be continued....
Another complete week of flower. About 7 more to go. She’s loving life. Will dose her with another Growilla Bud top dress tonight. Pictures are from a day or so ago. Surprised that she didn’t stretch at all entering flower. She just stayed same size as in veg. Just started making flowers. I tilted the ES300s to have some overlap on her. Still only running about 2/3 power on those. Cya next week for some better bud pics!
Real smooth week this week. Just 12/12 lighting and gave her a nice dose of Growilla bud for a nice amount of flower nutrients. Just been watering and watching! Got the Kind bars turned off and the ES300s on full blast. Plan on turning bars back on last two weeks and turning ES300s down. The Kind bars are good for resin production I believe. Almost done with this girls cycle about 3-4 more weeks! She should almost be done. Just flushing her now no more nutrients now. She’s definitely starting to pack on some weight! I definitely look forward to seeing how she turns out!
Welp! This grow is almost coming to an end! Watching the terps every day for them to start to get cloudy. She must be getting close. I may harvest sometime this week or possibly next week. First grow in the books and I hve to say I am pleased with the results! I got some awesome buds to enjoy for the next few months. I would definitely be growing this strain again. Beautiful citrusy aromas come from this plant after harvest.
I enjoyed every minute of this grow. It was an awesome expierience. I sure learned a lot from being able to spot deficiencies to giving her what she wants.
