VaranusKomodoensis Very good vibes to everyone, today I present to you the cultivation of Green Gelato FEM from RQS. This post showcases these three wonders, in a 80x80 cm grow tent. They were germinated in the traditional way, damp paper towel, and in 3 days they were ready and initially planted 14 days ago (September 7, 2024) in approximately 500ml pots. Today (09/21/2024), I noticed the roots coming out of the holes at the bottom of the small pot, so I transplanted them to their final 7-liter (2 gal) pots, so they can continue growing and expanding their surface. The substrate (BioBizz Light Mix) has been watered with the mentioned supplements to promote root growth in the new pot. You can see they are in the process of forming the third node, and once they reach the 5th node, I will proceed to apply the apical cut, LST, and ScrOG, extending the vegetative stage for their training. They are very stable seeds, with even growth; only one took longer to germinate and is a bit smaller than the others, so it will require more attention and better light placement. I will show the progress week by week and hopefully have some great vibes by Christmas. Until next time.

VaranusKomodoensis An apical cut is made at the base of the 4th node and you wait a week for the plant to recover from the pruning, this way reducing the stress it generates.

VaranusKomodoensis Training begins, they have proven to be very docile and resilient plants. You can see that they develop a thick trunk, with secondary branches growing very quickly.

VaranusKomodoensis The training is adjusted, and a pruning is also done to give more space for the growth of the secondary branches. In the process, a secondary branch from the second node gets damaged, and recovery is expected, so the vegetative period is extended.

VaranusKomodoensis The pruning from last week has paid off, the growth of all the secondary branches is optimal, with large and quite leafy leaves. Training continues, the two main stems are being adjusted to height and show great vitality. A final pruning is planned during flowering, around the 2nd or 3rd week of flowering, once the flower developments are well defined.

VaranusKomodoensis Good smokes, as you can see, the first pods are already in the growth process. During this last week of vegetation, they were switched to a 12/12 photoperiod. They have responded very well to the pruning, generating an even stronger and wider plant mass, which indicates very vigorous and productive growth.
